Things have changed drastically since I first reviewed this place. It was my go to lunch place as its the closest place to my office to eat. Recently I notice that the the restaurant (Trilby) in the hotel (its in Hotel Nvy) is closed. Closed as there is a new chef and apparently they fired most of the servers, my favorite, Diana is gone. Why? who knows, but they do not have enough staff to open the other resto. I have been there twice this week and sadly will not go back. I ordered a salad, no mention of olives and capers on the menu, however it was loaded with capers, too much, I removed approximately 1/2 Cup. Not a big deal, the salad was pretty good and I would have ordered it again. My husbands lunch eh, lack of flavor. The next time I went, ( two days later, I waited 20 minutes for someone to take the order, we had to ask for more bread as it took even longer for the food to arrive. The waitress, a new one, gave us some attitude which was shocking. We had to ask for more water, which we all noted that we never had to do as the wait staff used to be attentive. The salad arrived, and lo and behold, it had a brown dressing on it, different than the other day, I asked for no capers, it came with capers, it was supposed to come with avocado and there was no avocado. This time the olives were green olives and not black, which was not a big deal, but twice in one week ordering the same salad and getting two different things? A colleague of mine went today and ate a horrible meal which was over loaded with salt. He actually complained and asked them what is going on? Depressing, but I guess they need some time to get the act together with the new chef, or properly train the wait staff not to give the customers attitude? read more
