She is simply amazing and makes the process so smooth you wonder why you waited so long to book in the first place! I have seen Amber 3 times now, the first time was in 2019, a touch up a few weeks later, and then again this past Monday. Does it hurt? A little, but its not bad at all, she even uses a numbing cream after the first pass so you don't feel a thing after that. Is it expensive? Considering that you are permanently tattooing your face, NO! You get what you pay for, and Amber provides the after care AND a touch up appointment, so I find her to be extremely affordable! I save so much money and time not buying eyebrow pencils and filling in my brows, that alone is priceless. PLUS, the result is so natural!! How long is the healing time? About a month, but honestly after they peel the first time (about 5 days after your appointment) they look perfect (you don't even realize you still have some time to heal). I love my eyebrows and if you don't love yours, book an appointment today (Amber is the best in Reno and her schedule fills up fast!!) I already booked my touch up for 2022! Also, the space is so relaxing and bright and open. It is very clean inside and she follows all the covid rules from the health district. I felt very comfortable while at my appointment.

Amber is very professional and really goes over everything the procedure is going to entail. Her intake paperwork is incredibly thorough and I felt very comfortable in her hands. She walks you through what to expect day by day while you're healing. The process itself hurts a little bit but I really didn't swell at all. The brow micro-blading appointment took a little under two hours. She charges $450, $50 of it being a deposit but it was well worth it and a competitive price. While the word permanent is used, it does need touching up. The person I had previously used was becoming difficult to arrange appointments with. I decided to make a change. Janice at Glamour Gals sends some of her clients to my office for lip anesthesia and I heard great recommendations. I called and left a message for an appointment. Janice returned my call within an hour. I explained that I wanted to switch and was in need of a touch up. We scheduled an evening appointment after work. Janice's place is small and quaint. It has its own small parking lot in front. I arrived 15 minutes early and she was already. I brought in my idea of color match and she showed me four similar colors. I picked my favorite and we began. She has everything wrapped in plastic, a girl after this plastic queen's heart. She also waited until we were ready to begin to open all the sterilized item she needed. Exactly what I do in my office. I kicked back in her reclining table and we began. A little topical. Some 80's music. And about 45 minutes each eye and done. She reviewed the no touching rule, some ice and applying eucerin for the next several days. Janice sent me text the next day to check up on me. Love her personality and work. I'll return next year for my next touch up. By the way, eyeliner isn't all she does. However, two employees did go out of their way to greet the man next to me, with one apologizing for the wait and assuring him she would be with him soon. I was getting close to just walking out because at about 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, when someone finally came over and asked for my name. My stylist never introduced herself, so while she was nice enough, I don't even know her name (and she isn't listed on the website, either). I got a simple shampoo & blowout, and during the shampoo she used the hottest water I've had in a salon. She did not ask me if the temperature was okay, if I had a preference, or check in with me at all -- and I'm the kind of person who likes a super hot shower, so I was surprised by how hot the water was even to me (it was fine for me, but I know that is way beyond lots of people's heat tolerance level). I am sure she would have changed the temperature if asked, but never in my life has a stylist just not checked in on that during a wash. The blowout itself really did come out nice, but I was also surprised by how old the salon is. I think me and my stylist were the only people under like 60 years old in there, so it may be more geared towards an elderly demographic. I am glad I got the stylist I did, because I have never felt so disrespected in a hair salon before (by the other staff) and am honestly still in shock with how little regard the employees had for a customer. Some of them were sitting down and waiting for timers, so it's not like no one was available to greet me, either. Not to mention, I had to wait more than 15 minutes after my appointment time to be acknowledged -- it's not asking a lot to simply be informed if they are running behind. Especially since the man next to me was given that courtesy and respect! I would never go back and would not recommend it, despite the fact that my hair did come out nice at the end of the day. It was just such a bad experience overall, though my stylist really did seem sweet (she is the sole reason I gave 2 stars and not 1), unlike the rest of the staff. The salon itself is also tiny, crowded, hot (they seemingly have no A/C and just kept the door open), and not well ventilated. Save your time and money -- there are lots of other great options in town.
