Andrew was awesome! Picked up our group and showed us all kinds of historical points of interest, coves with crystal clear water, tubing and took us to emerald bay for lunch by a shipwreck. This has to be the best value on the lake. I've been renting boats for several years now and these guys have the best price for a half day by a solid $100 or more! It was really nice dealing with Andrew. He was professional, on time and was always on top of communication. The included tube is pretty awesome! The included wakeboard is pretty basic though so if you're an avid wakeboarder, you'll want to rent a better one from town. With that said, the boat does not currently have a wakeboard tower anyway so it's better to enjoy your time with the tube. The boat runs great and has tons of room. It shows some wear and tear but that's to be expected with a rental. It's also pretty standard with respect to gas consumption (approx $100 for a half day; Tahoe City to Emerald bay and back plus lots of time towing the tube.) I will definitely be renting from these guys again! We had a fantastic time on the lake. read more

Andrew at TPS was awesome!!! The complete experience was top notch from book a charter via emails & text. To pick us up a Garwood riding to Emerald Bay dropping us back at Garwood. My kids have never been boating. Andrew was great with them allowing them to help pilot the boat & answering any questions. 6 & 2 year olds have lots of questions. Andrew was very professional, paying attention to safety, & personable. My 2 year old son was a little scared at first but warmed up as the time went on. To the point where he & Andrew were best buds. The boat was very clean & well maintained. Andrew was even kind enough to ship back my glasses which had fallen out of my pocket. I was in Tahoe with some friends and really wanted some jet skis to rent but every place we looked was OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. Andrew from Tahoe Powersports offered me a deal I couldn't refuse that was about half the price of what the other places where offering. We were in Tahoe last summer, I searched around the internet for a nice boat to rent in Tahoe, I needed something that could fit two families and that was priced well. I found Tahoe Powersports. These guys by far have the nicest boats on the lake, they use 25 foot long Cobalt boats which are quite luxurious and comfortable, we had two families with us and there was plenty of space for everyone. The bottom line is Tahoe Powersports has: 1. Excellent customer service, their staff works hard to ensure that you have a great time on the lake. 2. My family and I had a weeks vacation in Tahoe/North Shore and wanted to rent a boat for water skiing, inner-tube, wake board etc.........We looked at several and found Tahoe Powersports Inc. I initially spoke with Andrew who had excellent customer service and called me back right away. I had to change my reservation a couple of times and Andrew was very patient and polite with me. (Thanks Andrew) Once we got the boat, "Cobalts...Which are bad A$$" the price came with a Ski, Inner Tube and a Wake Board...."That was outstanding" Everyone else around wanted a lot more. Anyway, I'm huge into Customer Service and I gotta say that Andrew and Will were the BEST at Customer Service with me and my family....OUTSTANDING!!!!! It got really windy, so we had to take the boat in earlier than we expected, (My teenagers wussed out cause it was cold...LOL). I called Andrew and let him know that we were coming in early. At NO Time did I plan on asking for any money back. Once Andrew picked us up, he only charged be for the time I was out there..."Wow"....Also gave me a military discount as well. I highly recommend booking a boat with Tahoe Powersports. The whole process was incredibly fast and easy. The day of, Andrew gave us a call around 45 minutes before the rental time and we came up with a meeting place. We got right on the boat, did a quick safety run through and were on our way. We accidentally flipped a switch that kept the motor from turning over and Andrew was available to assist us over the phone so we didn't lose much time on the rental. The rates were cheaper than anything else I can find even with the boat being in great shape. Came with a wakeboard, skis and a tube all of which worked great. It was one of my most memorable birthdays in recent years and I am extremely likely to give Andrew a call next time I want to get out on the Lake. read more

What looked like a promising company to rent from turned out to be very disappointing. I had reserved a boat for Memorial Day weekend over the phone by giving my credit card to them. They sent me a form to fill out, scan and email back. I received an email yesterday saying my reservation had been canceled because they had not received my paperwork (though they had my cc info). They claim that their policy is they need the form signed before reservations can be confirmed but no one ever told me that. The fact that they could email me to tell me my reservation had been released but could not email to tell me they needed my paperwork is unbelievable to me. Now I have people from out of town and no boat to put them in. All I can think of is they took another customer who would pay more because it's Memorial Day Weekend. Watch out if you use these guys, don't let them pull the rug from under you too! read more

I went to rent from this company and I couldn't get anyone to call me back. I was very frustrated because they claim to have outstanding customer service. After reading other (valid) reviews I did a little research and according to State Lands they are illegally run because they don't pay a state lands fee. That makes me nervous and makes me happy they never returned my call. read more

What a great way to spend the day! We rented Andrew's 25 foot Cobalt on two different days in July. Andrew was very professional, on time, and delivered as promised. We were able to comfortably seat 6 adults and 6 kids. The kids absolutely loved the enormous sofa style inner tube. Now we know why everyone loves Cobalt boats...such a smooth and comfortable ride. On vacation with the family and looking for a great deal on watercraft rentals. We located the add in the local paper and saw Tahoe Power sports had great prices after talking to Andrew. I was a little suspicious when Andrew said to meet him at the Lake Forest boat ramp. As we waited for Andrew to arrive, the land manager at the Lake Forest boat ramp was displaying a sign that said it was unlawful to rent jet skis at a local launch ramp. I asked Andrew to show me a copy of his insurance policy. He was unable to produce it. He made numerous attempts to try and SMOOTH TALK his way into us renting the watercraft. In this day and age, I wouldn't rent from any company unless they had proof of insurance and some form of store front. read more

We rented a Cobalt 252 which is a great 25 foot boat for this lake. it came with a wake board a tube for the kids. the boat performed very well and Andrew was great to work with. we will rent from him again next summer. read more
