We felt safe yet physically and mentally engaged at the same time.

Terrashardtastic!! 5 of us spent 4+ hours with guide Liam today. The group included mid-40s to mid 50s people in good share but no climbing experience and two kids, ages 11 and 14. We really did not know what to expect even after watching the introductory videos. Is this a mild high altitude hike? Is it like zip lining? River rafting? I incorrectly assumed that this was something that "anyone" could do, sort of like zip lining. However, I think this experience was a little more "thrill-seeker" rather than a milder high elevation hiking trip. For example, one of the adults was scared throughout the adventure, but persevered and felt a sense of accomplishment afterwards...but wouldn't do it again because of the fear factor. The rest of us would do it again. The kids loved it and were fearless. For anyone afraid of heights (as I am), this is definitely going to be a challenging experience, but one that I would highly recommend. This would also be a great team building outing for leaders in any organization. It was exhilarating, challenging, beautiful, scary (a couple of moments) and overall a very rewarding experience.

Love love love this adventure. Beginner friendly and so much fun! Went with friends and we enjoyed it so much we have plans to come back and bring our families. Our guide Liam was calm and a great guide and teacher. If you're on the fence, do it!

This is a must when coming to Tahoe. Our tour guide Rich was super nice and the climb was superb. The climbing just keeps going up and up and you get a beautiful view of Squaw Valley!

    So excited to try this

OMG, one of the best spring days ever. I arrived early just cause I was so excited to do the Tahoe Via Ferrata. It was a good thing I showed up early because I neglected to be a light jacket. And because unseasonably chilly weather at Squaw I needed one. Griffin the young man that helped me check in, assured me I had time to either go to Tahoe city and pick one up or go to Blue Zone sports in Truckee. I elected to go to Blue Zone and pick up a jacket at a reasonable price. I got back in plenty time to meet up with Ally our guide for the adventure. Being mid week our group was just three guys. Ally helped us all the adjusting our gear so we all comfortable and felt safe. Shortly after that all started a short ride up Squaw Valley to our starting point underneath the tram. Another explanation on how we were to be tethered to a wire rope on our climb up the face. Although I was physically challenged a few times. Ally's attention to member of her team made us all feel safe and comfortable even in a demanding situation. I truly had a epic time. Have already checked with a friend and made plans to go back up and spend another fabulous day with Ally and her team. Ally is also a Backcountry Ski Guide. After my day with her this spring I not only plan on going back up for a additional day with the Tahoe Vie Ferrata but hiring her for at least a day in the backcountry. Just had one of the best days ever. I'd highly recommend taking one of their tours up on the mountain.

Semi-avid indoor climber and Squaw passholder for a few years, I can't recommend this experience enough. Exciting enough for the experienced climber (especially those over 40 like me), but not technical so most everyone can enjoy it. Basically not much more difficult than climbing a ladder, a really high one. If you're ever wondered what it would be like scaling the granite cliffs you see when taking the tram at Squaw, this is it. Our guide Whit was friendly, personable, and professional, as were the rest of the guides and staff.

Not to mention that he made us feel safe and secure as there were some pretty exciting (challenging) parts on the climb.

Probably one of the coolest things we've done in a while…read more Imagine an adult-sized playground with tons of things to climb on, rope bridges to walk across, and 100ft tall trees to conquer. That's the ropes course here. As we didn't come in a group, we paid $52 a person and honestly thought it was totally worth it. Luckily, not that many people signed up for the morning session and so aside from us and another couple that we were friends with, we only had to share the whole thing with a family of four. The guide is great about explaining the basics of belaying, calming fears, and yelling encouragement. Once you get the basic instructions, you're set free to go climb and all the various things (of which there are plenty). Our favorite was the 100ft tall tree with a gorgeous view at the top and the "leap of faith" where you jump of a 35ft stump to try and catch a trapeze 3 feet away. Overall, whether you're a climber or a newbie (which describes the two of us) it's a great time with lots of different level of challenges and certainly leaves you feeling like you've conquered the world.

While some were certainly helpful and attentive, others were dismissive, unenthusiastic, and rude. One may reasonably expect this environment at a McDonald's, but I sincerely wished for more given the significant price.
