Last time here I got general tso's and it was downright disgusting. Not a single piece of "chicken" had much chicken at all in it. Most pieces had no chicken at all. It was all corn starch. Every single piece. I don't know what happened to this place but that was the most disgusting thing I've ever had, and charging $18 or whatever it was for no chicken at all is beyond ludicrous. I always raved about this place and came back time after time. But after this disgraceful "meal" I will never be coming back. They should be absolutely ashamed. read more

Basic Chinese food. Didn't like much except for the boneless spare ribs. It was a little burnt but i kinda liked it. Everything else was forgettable. Pork fried rice was bland. I ordered there late last night for a delivery. I didn't have a menu. I asked the man who answered what he had unfortunately he didn't speak English. I managed to order a few things. He delivered in a short time. I opened up what I ordered and the food was awful! I love Chinese food. I have never had bad Chinese food. I spent the whole night sick And that was just from tasting it. I called today and asked them to pick up their food and said i wanted a credit. He said very angrily he would be right over and would give me a credit. It's over three hours later he is still not here. I just called again they said he would be here at 10! I said no way I'm leaving the food on the stairs of my deck. They said he gave me a credit but I just looked at my bank account and he absolutely didn't. I will never ever go there! read more

They sold us a flat bottle of coca cola with a sell by date of April 2021. I just want to say that this place makes the best shrimp toast I have ever had. It's never burnt or overly greasy like it is at so many other places. Their chicken and broccoli is also top notch, which is the metric by which I judge Chinese takeout. They also have the high quality chopsticks in the red wrapper, the kind that are two sticks and you don't have to break apart, which they generously leave out on the counter. Horrible service. Rude kid at the counter. Placed my order by phone, went to pick it up, and the price didn't match what I saw online. The kid says well anyone can make a website and put on it whatever they want. Ok, well, I clicked the phone link to call my order in.. doesn't seem likely it'd be a fake site when all the other info on it is correct. And then he actually has the audacity to tell me I didn't order what I know I ordered. He refused to accept that he made the error and not me. I ended up with an overcharged menu item. Same size container of food as the lunch item I wanted, but more under-fried rice and costs more? Really? It's seriously messed up that he refused to see his error and has nerve to argue that I'm having the issue, not him. Definitely not going back. Consistently been our Chinese takeout place for at least 4 years. Don't know why but the food seems best on Thursday nights and we've learned that we don't care for the food on Sunday nights. Their wonton soup, steamed pork or shrimp dumplings and beef with broccoli are great . We also like their Beef Lo Mein and Shrimp Mei Fun but the consistency varies widely. Same for their string bean dishes. Their shrimp egg foo young (although rarely ordered) has always been amazing and we can say the same for their general tsao's. Service is always pleasant and delivery is prompt. Mistakes are rare but fixed when made. Be careful with fried spring rolls and egg rolls, sometimes they're a little soggy/greasy. Deliver people are always friendly/polite. read more

I've been a loyal local customer of Tai Hing for many years. I really like the wontons in sesame hot oil. The food quality varies but it was never sub par. The delivery was the main reason I stuck with this place sadly tonight they really screwed up. I noticed a new voice on the phone and when she asked me how to spell the name of my town I felt she was about to screw up. I ordered by the numbers on the menu and double check that they got it right. The normally fast and efficient delivery was taking unusually long when the driver called and asked where my house was, I explained the address was wrong and he came right over. The food by then was cold and the bag was a gooey mess. I ate the appetizer and waited almost an hour before U discovered the entree was wrong. Many times I'd just suck it up yet this time I called them to explain my disappointment. They offered me 10% off my next order, how many times does that ever come to fruition??? NEVER! I asked for them to replace the dish they asked me to pay for it. I asked them to send me something different to replace the order again they asked me to pay. I explains u was not happy and would not order from them again hung up and that's that. They called back and decided to send me the replacement item. Nice? NOT! The driver came to my door and asked me to pay for the item and started another argument. All this over a mistaken order and a difference of $2.00 I WONT ORDER FROM TAI HING AGAIN I suggest you do the same. I ordered pork fried rice and wanton soup. The two simplest dishes of any Chinese/American restaurants... not good. Rice was very dry.. like made the day before and reheated. The pork was also dry and dyed that typical RED un-fresh color, not much vegetables, no egg.. very basic, boring, and DRY. The Wanton soup. Not terrible, but broth was not good. The Wonton Soup is consistent, the dishes (I like the standard fare, general tsao, szechuan beef, chicken with garlic sauce, and so on) are also pretty good. One of the prior reviews called this place sub-par, and I think that's really a matter of perspective. If you are looking for safe, standard chinese take out at a reasonable price, this place is definitely above average. I have tried several others in the area that are nowhere near as good as Tai Hing. Is this place "amazing"? No, not if you compare it to high-end Chinese with 5 dollar egg rolls and 25 dollar plates. If you want straight to the point Chinese food with no fuss, this is the place. We decided to give this place a try. I called in our order and was told 15 minutes. I arrived to pick up a few minutes early so I decided to just wait in the car. Withing the 5 minutes of sitting there, I observed about 4 different customers walk in to pick up their orders. Finally I made my way inside and actually had to stand in line. People were either placing new orders or picking up. Any other time this may be annoying but to me it was a good sign that showed the popularity of this place and the fact that the food turn around is quick (no old food being served). When I got to the counter, they had just sealed my bag and I paid and left. Surprisingly the food was still nice and hot by the time i got home. We had the shrimp lo mein and cashew chicken. Both were exactly what we expected. The one great thing that i did notice was that they had alot of shrimp in the lo mein and the cashew chicken had a variety of veggies, it wasn't just celery. Plus the chicken/cashew to vegetable ratio was a lot higher. So you definitely get your money's worth. Add the coupon to that of free cheese wonton and you have yourself a nice meal with appetizers.
