As many of my loyal followers know, I've been very hesitant to try Chinese food after my infamous food poisoning experience last year but I couldn't help but give this establishment a try. Everywhere I go I hear people rave about the quality of the food here and being the noble reviewer I am I decided to put aside my PTSD and give King's a shot... and I am so glad I did. King's has now become a staple in my household whenever everyone is in the mood for Chinese food. You truly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu and everything I've tried so far has been delicious. The sesame chicken is great, the dumplings are small but flavorful, and the noodles are OUTSTANDING. I also really appreciate the friendly staff, and the owner Frank runs a very efficient operation. Whether it's pickup or dine-in, I can confidently say you will love King's and it might just become a staple in your household too.

A must-try! Hands down the best lobster I've ever tasted. It's perfectly fried with a crispy outside, yet incredibly tender and juicy on the inside. Authentic flavor and amazing taste. If you're craving real Chinese food, just go to kings!

I haven't found a Chinese sit down restaurant in the area since Szechuan Star closed years ago. We came on a Wednesday night and were surprised to see how many people were dining in. The owner, Freddy, is very chatty and told us on weekends, they have a line for tables. His service is amazing, he connects with all his patrons, and is super generous. He brought us hot and sour soup, additional dumplings, and gave us a taste of his chicken and eggplant dish. We ordered the standard Chinese take out items--general Tsos chicken, vegetable lo mein and string beans stir fried with garlic. Everything came out quickly. The general tsos chicken could have been more crispy, but I appreciated that they weren't just half breading. The vegetable lo mein was good, but the string beans were covered with pork. The menu doesn't state anything about pork, and I don't eat red meat. I didn't want to make it inconvenient, especially after Freddy had been so friendly and generous, so I just scraped off the pork. The hot and sour soup also had bits of pork in it, though it is normally vegetarian. Wonderful service and food, just wished the menu was more clear.

Terrible!! Don't be deceived! First time here and it was Saturday July 19, 2025 at about 5:45pm. We were looking for a new sit down Chinese place to try. The place was packed so we thought wow this should be amazing!! Well this was the worst Chinese meal ever!!!! And we eat Chinese often! To start, you write your own name on a wall and the lady at the front doesn't really pay attention to who's next. She's too busy with to go orders. We finally sit after an hour and the two staff are over whelmed. We both ordered the beef and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and egg roll. We also got pork fried dumplings. The dumpling dough was weird textured and they did not look like traditional dumplings, not impressed at all. Then our meals were horrible! Lack of any flavor, watery and the texture of the meat was like boiled and had a coating of cornstarch. Gross. The fried rice was bland but looked great and dark. I was so deceived looking at this yelp page pictures. Also the meals are like $21.00 plus. Over priced! Either the people of freehold have bland taste buds, never ventured out elsewhere to have real Chinese or like wasting their money consistently! I have no idea why this place is so busy. I would never recommend this place and will never be back! Waste of a dinner and $70.00!!! Left so disappointed and disgusted. The guy asked do we want a to go box and what's the matter? UM NO THANKS!!! We felt like saying your food is disgusting and thanks for a crappy meal! Save yourself the disgust!!!

I did not like the pork fried rice, it didn't have good flavor. The boneless pork taste good.

I was here on a Tuesday, so it was very slow, there was only one woman running the front of the house. But, they had some takeout orders going out every so often. That being said, the food is really yummy! I was here with my mom and we each had a hot and sour soup. It was fine, but when you add some of the side of black vinegar and picketed ginger... it was very tasty! We shared the dan dan noodles which were delicious! We also had the crab and pork soup dumplings which were hot and tasty. Finally, we split the stir fries beef filet with scallions and miso which was great! The beef was really tender and the s asinine was spot on. This is a great place to come when you want good food with no frills.

The restaurant is big, with one wall donning a mural of white flowers and the opposite wall holding decorative windows and decorations. The special drinks station can be seen near the front, a little bok choy statue propped up on the counter. A flat screen TV can also be seen mounted to one of the restaurant's dividers as well, with two others mounted on the back walls too. We ordered the following: S11- Wontons in Chili Oil- we didn't order this but it was a happy accident order. It turned out the server misheard us and ordered this instead of the dumplings. So, we said no problem and ordered the steamed dumplings, as well. We ended up liking the wontons. S12- Steamed dumplings 6 pieces- this was a slight disappointment in that the dumpling skin was the same as the wonton skin. I was expecting it to be a bit doughier and thick. Instead, it was thin. The dumpling was pretty good and spicy but I was expecting the wrap to be different. We got swayed when we saw it on their tv screen and was expecting it to be thicker. H17- spicy pot with lotus root, mushrooms, tripe, shrimp, ham, potatoes with sesame. There weren't any lotus roots in there. This was very spicy. Hubs liked it a lot and was happy that there were plenty of tripe for him to have. V1- mapo tofu with minced pork- this was pretty tasty and spicy F8- Typhoon Fish Fillet- I always wanted to try this style of fish, so the minute I saw it, I knew I had to get it. Hubs didn't realize that it was fried fish and we didn't know how it was prepared. It's fish fillets and heavily seasoned mixed with onions, shallots, salt and pepper, spicy pepper. According to him, it was heavenly seasoned. LOL. We let the server be aware of peanut allergy and she said that we could order anything we wanted and they won't add peanuts to it. Originally, we were going to go to another restaurant but that was closed for that day. Glad that place was closed and we came here! Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!

We took out a few dishes from the new ownership and were utterly disgusted with the quality. It's been a few more years. I am not sure if ownership changed again, but we decided to give it another chance. I didn't recognize the owner - not sure if it was because of the absence of mask. But first impression was she didn't care to be cordial or friendly, just doing the basic part as a wait staff. On the plus side, the chairs and tables have been upgraded from what I could remember. We ordered our usual dishes in order to gauge the current quality. 2 staple Sichuan dishes: Kung Pao Chicken ($14.95) and Shredded Beef with Hot Green Pepper ($17.95). We also added a noodle dish: Sauteed Noodle with Pork & Scallion ($11.95). Kung Pao Chicken was rendered differently - sweeter and not as dark but tasty none the less. The Shredded Beef was also slightly different, thicker and obviously tenderized with baking soda. It was good enough. The sauteed noodle was good but it's a generic dish so no authenticity to consider. A number of deviations from prior experience. The chicken and beef dishes each only 1 bowl of rice, instead of a big serving bowl for the table. We had to ask for one additional bowl of rice. Not sure if it was missed but we didn't get charged for it. The tea wasn't complimentary any more. $1.50 for the pot. Overall, we weren't disappointed because we came in with low expectation. We will be back again hoping to see that they can at least maintain the same consistency.
