I really love to go to that place because the deep tissue massage that they gave you is phenomenal but the only thing I don't like is that they are very greedy when it comes to tipping I mean $20 is not enough for them for tipping. this is ridiculous. You shouldn't make any person feel uncomfortable how much they want to tip last time we were there we gave 100 to tip them and they never wanted to give us any change back so they wanted to keep the whole hundred for a tip. read more

This massage place is at Oakland Mall on the 1st floor right by JC Penny's. I like it because you can walk in and be serviced within 20 minutes or less. Tai Ji is my go to for a foot massage because I'm always on my feet. I've also gotten a chair massage and it was a good compliment to the foot massage. read more

I've had both INCREDIBLE Massages from here and horrible massages. The last time the lady was literally laughing and talking in another language while barely scraping my back with her fingernails. Came here with my husband for a massage based off Yelp reviews. I appreciate a no frills mall massage. Pros- you don't have to get naked because it's a shared large room with no privacy. Just took off my shoes and kept everything else on. Tables are sanitary with new towels. Music was calming. Lighting was dim but not too dim. No appointment needed; we walked in and got service right away. There were two other clients getting massages so I felt like this place is doing well. Massage pressure was just right. Hit all the right parts. For me my upper back was killing me from terrible posture. Used light non-scented lotion only on upper back massage. I didn't feel greasy at all. I left feeling loose and relaxed. Very reasonable prices listed out very clearly at the entrance. Approximately $1 per minute. 80 minutes was $85. Staff was very polite. They do the handing credit card to you with two hands thing which I liked. Cons-they don't speak English well, so I had to repeat what I wanted couple times because they didn't seem to understand. But this didn't bother me much. Just point to your body parts! It's located in a quieter section of the mall but you do hear some white noise from the mall. I tipped 20% I wish I had cash on me, so I felt bad I had to tip on the credit card. Such a great find if you want a quick, no frills, no need to take your clothes off massage on a weekend. I like the comforts of luxury spas, but sometimes you just want a good massage without the amenities. Tai Ji Wellness is the place to go for that kind of no-frills Asian massage experience. It is located in Oakland Mall and the massage I received here was much better than the one I received recently at a fancy upscale spa at the fraction of the cost. Tai Ji Wellness is a small shop and massages are conducted in the same space without private rooms. For that reason, massages that require taking one's clothes off, like an oil massage, are not offered here. Only foot reflexology and body acupressure where you remain fully clothed. I kept my mask on because it was a shared space with other customers, but I saw other people with their masks off during their massage. I don't remember my masseuse's name but he was excellent. I think he was surprised that I wanted a very firm massage. I lived in Asia where I had massages that gave me bruises, so Western-style massages are too light for my taste. My masseuse was firm but did not cause any pain. I felt the effects of this massage for many days. It released so much tension and relaxed my muscles, especially in my shoulders. It is easy to get a massage here without making an appointment. I was a walk-in and was able to get a masseuse immediately. read more

Had the best and most thorough deep tissue massage ever!!!!!! I was skeptical but my masseuse did a wonderful job. LISA has now given me three massages. She has great technique. She is able to find all the knots in my neck, shoulders, back and right leg. I have been a little sore the day after which comes with this type of massage. I really use to like going here. But not anymore. I don't mind giving a $5 or $10 tip but they will slip you a note at the check out demanding $15 and one time even $20 dollars. This place is a hidden gem inside of Oakland Mall, I've never made an appointment, I've always just walked in, sometimes I wait a few minutes, I love that there is no contract. This place blew me away, I walked in with quite a bit of pain and they gave me a clothed massage followed by reflexology. I walked out of there feeling wonderful. I have gone back so many times I've lost count. It's different from any traditional massage I've had prior, they really dig in and work out the knots. Hidden Gem! Who knew that there was anything else worth going to Oakland Mall for then H&M?! Worked a half day, caught a matinee and then desperately searched to book a massage in the area, no dice. Hit Macys (bust) and just did a lap around the mall to stretch my legs and was able to walk right in. Typically I'm a full body, deep tissue, in the nude, girl. This.was.incredible. This place is over at re Oakland mall by jcpennys on the lower level. The people there are really nice and do a great job at massaging. I got the reflexology done and my mom had the acupressure done. I have been going there at least once a month ever since. Oh and you don't have to make an appt. My husband and I frequent Tai Ji Wellness. It's so convenient. There normally isn't a wait. The longest we've waited was 15 mins and it's faster because you get to keep your clothes on. I've had many many many massages from many different places, but no one is like Tai Ji. If you're looking for a fluffy feel good massage, you have to tell them ahead of time. I went here on Mothers day. I got the 30 min Body acupressure. I am a Licenced Massage Therapist over 10 years and have read up on acupressure and really wanted to try it. The Man who did mine started out gently and great pressure, then he went deep I told him that hurts to deep and he would more on to another part of my body. Then whole process was done with his elbow and full body weight the 30 min is done on a table 20 min and less in a chair and you cannot apply as much pressure. When he got to my glutes and when in full body weight I thought I was going to die. And when he rocked my body he had his finger in my butt crack. SORRY we as therapists would be in so much trouble for that. By then he was done and ended the session by slapping flat handed the whole back side of the body. I had tears running do my face by now what I told him I could not take and more and all he said was "done". The man I had did not speak english so I do not think he understood he was hurting me I was so sore so I had to take a muscle relaxer.today is 4 days later and the soreness from that acupressure is going away. I have studied this and had many, many deep tissue massages and never been sore like this. read more

I love this place and I have been coming back here since they opened. They will take walk ins. This is basically a therapy session. If you're looking for a soft relaxing massage you probably shouldn't come here - go to a spa. I enjoy extremely deep tissue massage work and they know how to do it right.
