I've been going to Taiji for almost a year now and cannot say I've had a poor experience there. The massage therapist are all skilled and detailed. There has always been parking out front when I've gone, which is helpful. The space: Very clean and comfortable. The music is always calm and soothing. The service: I've had pleasant experience during all my visits. During this recent visit, Olivia was my massage and she was very good. I mentioned I had some kinks and she focused on these areas - and helped! Cindy has also been great and helpful during past visits. You can tell they all take pride in their work. It shows! No words can describe how awesome my massage was with May. I was experiencing a very tight muscle on my neck and my back was very stiff. May applied the perfect amount of pressure to loosen the muscle and really took her time to work through different tight points on my body. The massage was 60 minutes but I wish it never ended! I went to the Secaucus location. We received 60 minutes massages with 10 free minutes and cupping which was a $25 upcharge. They were very nice offered complimentary water and candy while we waited for appointment time. The massages themselves were very rough, thorough but harsh nonetheless. It hurt!! I kept saying easy easy but that did not help. I normally go to sleep when getting a massage, I could not here. Also, I would like to add thst the assages are given by females. There was a man at the front desk and because we were laughing (we were put in the same room, this was not a couples massage), he walked in on us while getting our massage and we were almost naked. I really didn't like that. The curtains, to the rooms didn't close all the way. People walking by in the halĺway could still look inside and we could see outside. There needed to be velcro or snaps or something to securely close the curtains. There was no soft relaxing music playing while we received our massages, and if there was, it was very faint. Lastly, the lighting in the room was too bright to relax. I closed my eyes but it still seemed as if the lights were on. I would go back again, but but clear about, separate rooms of it wasn't a couples massage, make sure the curtains close properly before getting undressed, make sure there is music and they are aware of the pressure level I expect from my masseuse. l will also inform the front desk guy not to enter my room while I don't have on any clothes unless it's a fire!!! Or maybe I may just try the Fairlawn location its closer. Hope this helps. read more

I like going to Sandy and another lady (wish I got her name) - they're both really good! I usually do the 1 hour of full body and 15 minutes of feet for $55, which includes hot stone. So worth it! The rooms are very clean. Only thing is they need wider curtains. There's still a gap opening no matter how much you try to close it. The noise level is different each time. I usually go to the Palisades Park one, but there was this one time when I needed it so badly after work (in an adjacent town). So instead of driving for 20-30 minutes east, I just called in for a same day appointment. It's similar overall to the Palisades Park branch.I have to say $45 for 70 minutes a good massage is a very good deal in this metro area. Very nice service as well since the masseuse really do a great job. The place is very clean&cozy with a handful massage stalls inside. Parking is totally easier than PalPark since it's a less busy area. And try to tip your masseuse directly after you settle the bill. read more

Treated my Godsister for her birthday. We both got the 30 minutes body massage/30 minutes foot reflexology. We ended up in the same room which was great! The reason why I docked off one star is because it's pretty noisy and isn't as relaxing. Our masseuses were whispering having a conversation in the beginning of the session and you can hear footsteps in the hall, the worst are the ones that are heavy footed. They should really think about getting carpet. The massage was amazing though which is why I'm keeping it to 4 stars. I just wished I was able to relax more. There's street parking and a parking lot that shares with Juicy Platters. I've gotten massages elsewhere and they're in rooms with doors. This place has "rooms" with curtains. read more

I was in desperate need for a massage on a Saturday afternoon from having the worst stiff neck.. my massage was very good but I am taking off a star for the noise level. There's a karate place next door that blasts rock music and slams the doors. I know it's no ones fault but it's not as relaxing as I would like it to be. Also the language barrier is a little rough. Went here to try for the first time and it wasn't bad. I called ahead and parked in the lot almost next door. I walked in and went into the room with no problem and was promptly met by the masseuse, Cece. She did a good job and met me with a bottle of water on my way out. She added hot stones to the massage which were nice but not located in the room so she left and I wasn't sure at the time if the massage was over. They should have the systems located in the room for that. The other small issue with the place is the rooms. There are curtains used as doors and the walls do not reach the ceiling so you hear everything, the phone ringing, the massages in the next room, talking, the traffic outside if someone beeps, everything. There is calming music playing but you still hear it. It was $45 for 70 minutes as a new customer but they charge a fee to pay with card which was stated last minute. I quickly switched to cash. I would consider coming back. Staff was friendly. They have a card where if you get 10 massages or something like that you get one free. read more

What a nightmare of a massage! I came out limping on one side with pain in my lower back! The woman was not professional therapist! I don't think she is licensed! I told her that I needed to work on my hams, calfs, and quads...she spent most of the time on my back...At one point I told her that to do my legs...but time was almost over...got about 5 minutes for my hams & calfs...she asked me to turn over, so I asked her how much time was left...4 minutes! I still gave her a tip...the owner just collected the money & sat down....didn't ask How was the massage, maybe he knows more than I do about the quality of the massage! I hadn't had a massage since the beginning of the pandemic and was well over due. I found Taiji online and called they took me the day of for a 1 hour massage. I was a little nervous because of COVID but this place is EXTREMELY CLEAN. Temperature taken upon arrival and they spray your hands with sanitizer before your massage in the lobby. Well! My boyfriend and I had been talking about getting massages done since two weeks ago. On Thursday i started looking and sent a message through YELP! They called me back Friday and we agreed on a time. Sunday at 2 they called to confirm it for 3. When we went in we were offered water and told to wait while they cleaned the room. Then we came in and took off our clothes and relaxed for the best massage in the world! We got the Swedish massage for 45 mins and foot reflexology for 15 mins. Today was my second visit to Taiji. At my first visit, The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I had a TERRIFIC massage, and COULD NOT WAIT TO RETURN. This is the only reason I am giving three stars today instead of one or two. On my first visit, they gave me the loyalty card but forgot to stamp it (after 10 visits, you get one free ). I had not realized until I was already on my way home, so I called and they told me it was not a problem that when I returned, I could have it stamped. I returned today, but the woman at the desk refused to stamp it. She gave me a terribly dirty look and said I don't know that you were here. I said, how would I have the card? That was disappointing. I am in no way a liar, or looking to get something for nothing and don't like being treated that way. The massage I received today was pretty good, although unfortunately, the woman that performed my service did not really understand my needs or what I was asking for. She also stopped the massage five minutes early and when they asked me about it when I was leaving, I mentioned that she stopped early. Again, the woman at the front desk was telling me I was wrong. She was making all types of excuses about the clock in the room, being different, blah blah blah. I told her I had looked at my cell phone. She said you started at 4:10, It's 5:25 now. I said, yes, exactly. I am here and dressed and just waited a couple minutes for you to take care of the customer in front of me. I said, listen, it's no big deal. I wasn't looking for an argument, but an apology, or some courtesy would've been nice. I think the woman at the front desk during my second visit was the reason my experience wasn't exactly optimal.
