I arrived @7:30 to find they were already cutting hair. Only 2 people ahead of me. When there was only 1 left, the barber emerged and said no more after the next guy- come back after 10. Then other people arrived, I told them what was told to me and discovered that I was BS'd he had sidebar appointments- I explained what happened when I called the shop yesterday -and rather than accommodate their mistake, compounded by dishonesty - again told to come back later. Not- come back later bc u already waited and be next. I wound up trying Danny's shop near 111 & Maple where at least 3 other people had come from this shop. They didn't have separate classes of customers and did excellent and speedy work. If Maple said or did anything differently they'd still have a customer. Never again - I don't like being lied to. All they had to say the day B4 was no appts till 10, or at 7:30 B4 I started waiting they could have said come back @ 10 and you'll be first bc u already waited once. Never again

The haircut itself was ok at best, but the way I was made to feel during the appointment completely ruined the visit. While I was sitting in the chair, one of the staff members started going on and on about how angry he was that a previous customer had only given him a ten dollar tip. He kept complaining, making comments, and clearly wanted someone to agree with him. The entire time I was sitting there knowing I only had ten dollars in my pocket for a tip myself. Instead of relaxing and getting a normal haircut, I spent the whole time feeling stressed, embarrassed, and uncomfortable. Tipping should never be pressured or guilt-tripped by the staff. It is unprofessional and completely inappropriate to talk about customers like that right in front of another customer. It turned what should have been a simple, easy appointment into an awkward situation that I could not wait to escape from. There are plenty of great barbers in the area who treat their customers with respect and don't make them feel like they're not tipping enough. Sadly this experience at Aaron's Barber Shop was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and more than enough for me not to return. One star.
