The end of January my husbands mother passed away and we had to go to Boston for about 10 days. We boarded Sully with Dawg House and opted for their open boarding and he had a good time with the other dogs that were boarding there when he was there. Jess and Stan and their staff are great with the dogs. We are so glad we found Dawg House when we moved to this area and Sully is very happy about it too.

They still have Covid precautions in place, so we had to sit in the car and wait and were unable to be there during her examination which was not great. I did get to speak to the vet on the phone afterwards, but I didn't like not being able to meet them in person and be there for the exam. We could have worn masks- even though my son and I are both fully vaccinated. They were thorough though and gave us lots of materials to reference. It turned out to be a calcium deficiency. They wanted to do bloodwork, but it was very expensive, so we opted to address the problem via diet and see how she does. They weren't pushy about it like a lot of vets are. So that was refreshing. All in all a good first experience with them. I would go back. Hopefully they get rid of the Covid precautions now that most people are vaccinated. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because of the rigid Covid precautions that didn't seem necessary in June 2021.

The space smells horrible -- like urine and bleach -- and dogs in the facility always sound horribly sad. (We've been to numerous doggie daycares in a great many years of being owned by three successive dogs. They don't always sound or smell this unpleasant.) You receive no information about your dog's day unless you sign up for that "perk" for an additional surcharge. (This really rubs us the wrong way!!) They pep your dog up at pickup by giving them a biscuit right before they open that last door, but I have my doubts about whether or not our little girl has actually had an enjoyable day. She always needs to relieve herself as soon as we pick her up, which means that the daycare is not giving her enough opportunities to go during her time there. She is exhausted, not as a result of good physical activity, but because she hasn't been able to sleep or rest during the day. Prices keep increasing and are now higher than many doggie daycares in NYC (where rent is, I'm quite sure, much more expensive). We've met some pleasant employees (including our favorite, a woman who claims she doesn't like people, but is actually quite kind). But I have to concur with Elana that some are just unhappy, rude, and strangely power trippy. Luckily, we've found great sitters and walkers through Rover and some wonderful neighbors. Fingers crossed that we never have to use Unleashed again.

She literally told me that she can train her staff till she's blue in the face and it doesn't matter because there gonna do what they want and then followed up with saying she can walk a horse to a river but can't make it drink it. I said WoW I'm done! if you can't control your staff then what kind of business are you running. I feel really bad because the male part owner David actually called me to apologize and offered to help out and also talk to his staff on manners but unfortunately it was too late for me, I will never bring my dog there. The place always smells like dog urine, looks dirty and the staff is constantly on there phones no interactions with the dogs and would stop the dogs from playing by spraying them with water bottles, which is odd, since most people are paying for there dogs to interact with other dogs, I know thats why I take my dog there. All this was witness by me from the cameras. I ended up doing my research and found WAGS in Danbury, OMG upon arriving, the place was so CLEAN AND FRESH and I was greeted with manners and such amazing hospitality. They have over 15 rooms for the dogs to play in both inside and out. There price was cheaper then unleashed and they even offer snacks for FREE! the place and people were amazing. If I can give them 10 Stars I would! nothing compare to Unleashed, which between the untrained staff and cleanliness, they get 0 Stars. My dog doesn't know if a place or staff is good, all she knows is having fun with other dogs, so in that aspect she would love to go to unleashed. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH! Dr. Dani Szajer went far above and beyond for us. She truly understands how hard it is to lose a pet. Every medication I asked to try, she prescribed (within reason). I am sure I was an emotional handful, but Dr. Dani and Selena were so patient and understanding. When I knew my dog had reached the end, I called at about 3:00 p.m., and they let us come in that same afternoon rather than making her spend her last moments at a strange emergency vet. When we arrived, three women were there to help take her in on a gurney. She was 115 lbs so that was no small task. They lit a candle in the main waiting room and in the exam room, and they put down a soft blanket for our dog and for us to lie on with her. Dr. Dani explained everything and gave us ample, unrushed time to say goodbye even though by then it was nearing closing time. It was all so peaceful and respectful of our beloved dog. And throughout the 10 years she was their patient, they were always professional and always very kind to us. I am so grateful for the way they helped us when my dog passed away. It was so incredibly painful, and their help meant so much to our healing to know that she died with us, in a peaceful place, surrounded by respect and care, with her wonderful life honored.

The neighbor suggested Brewster Vet. It was nearly 4PM and I called their office in a panic. The receptionist walked me through how to pick up my cat without causing further injury and in the fifteen minutes it took to get to the office, they were waiting for me with the room prepped. The kitty nurse, the veterinarian, the administrative staff...everyone was instrumental in saving the cat's life. They took her in, didn't ask for a crazy deposit, and immediately tended her injuries. Well, her jaw was broken in a few places. I won't bore you with the details, but over the next six weeks, they let me visit her with my son while she recovered, and taught me how to care for her so she could spend more time at home. We had many hiccups, and at one point, I thought it was time to euthanize her. Dr. Wilson wanted to try one more thing, and with his encouragement, we did it, and two months after her injury her feeding tube was removed. I know the staff and vet could have charged a LOT more, and they were so patient and caring. My cat went from a totally aloof little critter to the ultimate snuggle bunny after this. The attention given to her at the vet's office while she was hurt and scared made her better than ever.
