They are very friendly from the moment you walk in. You never seem to wait long for your appointment. Recently I had an emergency where my dogs were in a house fire with tremendous amount of smoke. I have two dogs one was four and the other one was 10 years old. The four-year-old managed to get out of the area of the smoke but my 10-year-old Shih Tzu was blind and ended up being in the room with heavy smoke damage until the fireman went in to find him. My friend took my SHIH TZU to the animal hospital unannounced and they hooked him up to oxygen immediately and kept him for the day for observation. He ended up being fine with the care of the doctors at NewFairfield animal hospital. When it was time to put my dog to sleep the doctors couldn't be more passionate and caring during the process. I would not choose another vet Ever to care for my babies. NewFairfield is very lucky to have them here.

Soooo sooo soo awful! Don't ever bring your babies there ever!!!!!!!! The front desk is soo rude and doesn't even look at you or even say hello to the animal then the vet tech Pricilla was the worst!!! Just a miserable grumpy angry women! Not a smile if you paid her I bring my cat she grabs him so hard with these huge gloves and towel doesn't say hello or anything! The vet was just as bad! Rude unfriendly uncaring just horrific! I have had animals for my whole life! I grew up with a little farm we had horses cats dogs etc so I know animals very well and I have been to many vets in my lifetime! This was the worst experience of my life! I would never bring my baby to that awful place ever again! The vet didn't even touch my cat other than jab him with the shot she said she couldn't listen to his heart or look at anything? Meanwhile they have done things yearly for ten years no problem! Anyway do not ever go waste your animals time and stress to not be showed any love or care or kindness! I will tell everyone I know and all the people I sent there to never go again! I don't want anyone else's babies to go through that treatment ever again! You guys need to be shut down! Idk anyone who would want to bring their babies to a place so full of anger and just unhappy miserable people! Who don't seem to care about the animals or the people who are bringing their babies there! You need a whole new staff and or retraining and some happy pills or therapy for them! Seriously it was that bad! Get it together!

I walked in for the first time for my dog's appointment and all they needed to do was roll out the red carpet because the welcoming treatment here was on another level. I walked in, there weren't any people in the reception area and instantly one of the vet techs knew exactly who I had with me and was ready to show me to one of the exam rooms. I was like, is my dog secretly famous!??? Pup got a little puparazzi moment **eeeeeeeek**. Yes, here at PatterPaws they take their lil profile pic! Dr Proto was so down to earth and both him and the vet tech made my dog feel at ease. All dogs shake and get nervous when going to the vet (I feel like us humans do the same IRL with doctors we just shake inside HA!) but they totally made him be less stressed out than he should be. Also, they weren't scared to approach him (a little 7lb guy) they just confidently went in with calm and I've never seen my dog this chill at the vet before, almost zero yapping. Ok fine, maybe at the end he barked at another dog haha but he did pretty great! He got his **seamless** rabies shot and didn't even feel it or let out a little yelp like he usually does. Again, amazing Dr and vet tech. Pretty awesome tip: Dr Proto's wife, Dr Will, does a mix of western and eastern medicine and provides acupuncture to dogs, cats and horses. You can really tell the energy of this place by the workers and how they're happy to be there with the animal and to really take care of yours, no matter the size. Ok also, can we talk about the cookie bar (for doggies) with the different sizes of treats? OBSESSED. Thanks PatterPaws for your kindness, attention to detail, and wonderful staff! You've already made us feel at home :)

When I brought in my dogs for their vaccinations, they completely missed the date of one of my dogs rabies vaccination and he ended up being unvaccinated for months. When I called them about this, the person who answered the phone didn't apologize and was very flippant about it. I had to advocate for an apology, and it was only at that point that they offered to comp the cost of the appointment. Then this month, one of my dog's was sick, and I had to wait three days for an appointment b/c they had only had one vet on staff. We finally got bloodwork done and I was told we'd hear back from the doctor the next day. I called at 4pm the next day as I hadn't heard anything (mind you, my dog still is sick), and they weren't able to tell me anything. I then had to call back again at 11am the following day, and a diagnosis of diabetes was delivered over the phone by a receptionist - with no empathy, no explanation, no walking me through a care plan, or what to expect, etc. They then told me I had to go to ANOTHER vet down the road to learn how to administer insulin. It was horrendous, and to this day, no one has called to follow up to see how he's even doing or what the status is. All that to say, we're now happy customers down the road at Noah's Ark Animal Hospital. They are kind, professional, knowledgeable, caring, and generous. I recommend them as an alternative to this place.

The Vet mentioned that this could be his teeth, or another condition with digestion issues. She encouraged me to have his teeth cleaned and checked first, as she could not treat him until this was done. I trusted her with confidence. I was unsure if I should do this, however, I wanted my cat to get better. Unfortunately, he passed away the day after surgery. I am heartbroken as he was everything to me. She did not give me any other alternative treatments for this cat, and pushed me into getting this surgery. I am sorry I ever brought my Cat to this Vet. She said she would treat him with Prednisone after the surgery but now he is gone. My cat had to die at the expense of poor vetenarian practices. My cat never needed dental surgery, as after the surgery, she immediately said that it was Not his teeth causing vomiting. My precious Cat, may you rest in peace.

I first heard about Dr. Robb because of the extraordinary advocacy he has done for animals, advocacy unlike anything I have ever seen or heard from any other veterinarian. That alone spoke volumes about his character and dedication, but meeting him in person confirmed everything I had hoped for. From the moment I met Dr. Robb, he was a breath of fresh air. He provides compassionate, thoughtful, and genuinely accessible care. Most importantly, he respects both the animals and their owners, never forcing unnecessary treatments or making me feel pressured into decisions. Instead, he listens, guides, and empowers you to make the best choices for your pets. His staff reflects that same level of excellence. The front desk team is consistently kind, attentive, and welcoming. In a world where it's become normal to sit on hold for 30 minutes just to speak with someone, I was amazed that I could simply call and reach a real person who was eager to help. I live over an hour away, and distance means absolutely nothing when it comes to the quality of care my animals receive here. I would gladly drive five hours if it meant my pets could continue seeing Dr. Robb. Thank you, Dr. Robb, and thank you to your incredible team.
