My parents made an appointment for their dog .. however my mom was ill & asked if she could reschedule.. the rude woman talked so very rudely to my 75 yr old mother it irked me.. I took the phone & told her to never speak to my mom that way.. I would never take a dog to this rude woman. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!! This is the worst place my wife and I have taken our puppies to! This angry, mean lady has no patience at all, and mistreated our puppies. She has no business handling people's pets! She should be reported. We took both our Maltese in to get there hair cuts. When we picked them up, they had bruises on them and l could tell that some hair was pulled out from combing due to the excessive red skin. They are raw on their bottoms from getting their hair cut to close to the skin. I can't imagine how they felt going through this ordeal. STAY AWAY IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET! read more

I recently took my male Pom to tailwaggers in Lakeport. Worst experience of my life. I have been able to groom him for 3 years, but decided to seek a professional for a "summer cut". In the photos you can see what my beautiful boy looked like before, and now. The owner was rude, criticizing me for not taking him to a groomer and telling me I taught him how to bite when I stopped brushing him when he nipped at me. I am devistated and I don't know how someone could EVER hand someone's dog back and tell them, 'I did my best'. I tried to be understanding feeling it may have been a difficult task, but if that was the case I would have rather been turned away or rescheduled my appointment if she needed someone to assist her. read more

I took my seven month old to tail Wagar's recently. He got into some tree sap and was definitely very sensitive to it , I think it was constantly pulling his hair. I called two other groomers locally and they were either sick or booked three weeks out. I called and explained the problem to Kimberly, and she agreed to take us that day. She is very professional and very reasonable. Clearly she loves animals. I recommend this place. read more

I was referred to Kim at Tailwaggers, the owner. Upon our initial phone consulation I explained that I have a Lhasa Apso baby and was concerned about him being tormented by a groomer at a young age. She agreed and said she is very patient with the animals. I took Scooter in along with his older brother, my sons dog. My son asked for his to be cut short all over and I requested that scooter has his eye area, private areas to be cleaned up and a boot cut on his feet. I was called back 3 hours later and was told they were ready. Upon arrival I noticed right away that Scooter was ALL HACKED UP ! I asked her what happened and she told me he was full of mats. She had to cut him down for his best interest. (Such a LIE ! ) I bath Scooter once a week and he uses Aussie shampoo & Aussie 3 minute mircle durning bathing and after he uses Bio-Silk oil and It`s a 10 leave in conditioner, along with a blow dry on my lap as I brush and comb his beautiful hair. I believe she tried to use a clipper and Scooter had never seen or heard one and he fought it and he got gouged and she then had to hack it off and it is so gouged up. Different lengths EVERYWHERE. I told her this is unexceptable and in the future she needs to call the client and tell them what you think you need to do, I guarentee they would be back to pick up their baby immediately before the damage is done. She took that in her hands, to make a very important choice that was NOT hers to make. If I had read the reviews and photos ( OMG ) I sure would have avoided putting Scooter & myself through this terrible experiance that will last for months. Kim is a caring, knowledgeable, and careful groomer. I've used her for years and will continue to use her services. My dogs love going to their spa day at Tailwaggers. As a bonus, Kim is involved with a local rescue group and donates hundreds of hours of her time, energy and skill to help dogs that are most in need. If you are looking for someone to stroke your ego or pat your head, don't go to Kim. She is all about keeping her focus on what is important. She doesn't mince words. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Is being on time and having good communication important? Absolutely!! But you don't have to be super rude about it, it's just not necessary! Yes I was late and my attempted calls were after my appointment time, I also said the words "I apologize" to her at least six times. No excuse but have you ever had one of those mornings? Yes it was one of those! My review is strictly based on her (Kimberly - the owner) attitude when I arrived. Her body language told me "F-U", she was short, condescending, rude, belittling and patronizing. She told me that I lost my appointment time (ok, valid), that I was rude and she wouldn't do business with me and I could not reschedule if at my first appointment I couldn't be on time or have the decency to call and then a few choice words about "people like me". It didn't matter that there was no cell service available to call (I was coming from Soda Bay), I could tell by the way she interrupted me every time I started to speak. Her attitude was just completely unnecessary and very, very bad business. So if you're human and appreciate doing business with someone who is calm, professional, dignified, helpful, etc., don't do business with Tailwaggers. Lady was rude, Cut a sweet loving dog on both ears and trimmed a nail too short to where it bled. Then tried to say that the dog was abused and mistreated and that it tried to attack her, so she could try to charge us more money than she originally quoted. I would never use her again. Sorry I wouldn't give this business one star I was looking for a groomer in lake county and came across this business so I called on a Friday afternoon and she was very kind and scheduled a appointment for Monday morning at 9:30 I told her in advance I work with a 93 year old client and sometimes emergency's come up and she sounded very ok with it well Monday morning came and I got a call into work at 8:57 because he had a accident so I rushed to work I was getting ready to call to reschedule at 10:10am when my phone started ringing I answered she ask if this was me I said yes I had a emergency this morning but am available or would like to reschedule and so sorry I didn't call before to let her know, she started yelling at me saying a call would have been nice and said a lot more which I understand a call would have been the right thing but when you have to rush to someone you work for itsnot the first this on your mind but Anyways I had already apologized so when she went into yelling at me I told her if I made her loose her $35 I would make it right but I would never want her around my 5 pound miniature Yorkie she don't seem like someone with patience enough to be grooming people's animals .. read more
