I've never owned a pair of Birkenstocks before and I came here looking for the right size that would fit me so I could order them online. Judy was helping me and she was just absolutely amazing. She was very attentive and knowledgeable and helped me decide which size was the best for me for my feet. They even had the sandals in the Oiled Leather faded khaki color way which was sold out online!!! She was just an all-around sweetheart and while I had a coupon for 10% off for the Birkenstock website. She was so helpful with such great customer service and just so sweet. I decided to buy my Birkenstocks here instead and spent a little more just for the quality of service I received. Since then I fell in love with the sandals I bought I went back to see Judy again and bought some Bostons in the taupe color way! Thanks so much Judy! Went in for a pair and the man there thought he was subtle about it but he was rude and entirely unhelpful. It was resoundingly clear with his attitude and approach that he did not want us in his store. I felt it was because my husband and I are MEXICAN! So if you're latino do not shop here, they clearly do not think you have $150 for some shoes that everybody has btw. It's disgusting that a local vendor would act like this. read more

I called to see if they had a certain Birkenstock in stock. The lady said they had 1 in stock with the size and style I needed. I said "I will be there in 20 mins" can you put them on hold. She said "I would love to, but I'm not going to pass up a sale to put them on hold for you" 1. That is not very great customer service. 2. I'm going to Dillards to buy them. P.S. I used to wear Birkenstock shoes for over a decade and owned three pairs. Around ten years ago, I stopped wearing them for some reason, maybe because my feet no longer hurt! I originally started wearing them because I had plantar fasciitis. In the last year, my plantar fasciitis began to return and my physical therapist recommended I go to DSW or the local running store to get Birkenstock shoes. I chose to go to Take 5 Birkenstock in Fort Worth because I thought I would get better service and a proper fitting since they were an official Birkenstock store. Well, I was greatly mistaken. I trusted that Judy would size me correctly. With the sandal she chose for me, I was surprised that she had to make the buckles as tight as they could be on my feet. And, I was even more surprised when she offered to put more holes in the straps for me "in case they stretch". I am 60 years old and have never had shoes or my previous Birkenstock shoes stretch so much that I had to tighten buckles or add holes in the straps! Furthermore, I was wondering in the store why this shoe did not feel as comfortable to me as I remembered them feeling and thought maybe I need to just break them in. I declined for Judy to drill more holes in the straps, however, when I walked out to my car with them on, I was having such trouble walking in them that I went back into the store and said "maybe you should drill those holes because they are slipping on me." I was well aware of their return policy of "no wear" and had to look like new in order to return. I purchased my shoes late afternoon on Monday and wore them mostly only in my home for a few hours. I knew something was not right with how these fit me and proceeded to look on Birkenstock's website. I following their directions on how to determine your shoe size and width and sure enough I am definitely a narrow width footbed, not wide -- which is what Judy sold me. I returned to the store on Wednesday and asked Judy if these shoes come in different widths and she proceeded to tell me no and that other styles do and she pointed out which shoe on display came in narrow. The shoe she pointed out was my length -- 38 -- and so I proceeded to try it on. I told July that the narrow felt amazing and so much better than what she sold me. She told me I could not return the shoes she sold me because they had been worn. I left the store very disappointed. As I was driving home, I became very angry because she clearly sold me the wrong width shoe so I called her back and asked to speak with the manager or store owner for an exchange since I was fitted incorrectly. She told me she was the manager for that day and she then agreed to exchange them for me. She confirmed she did not have my width in the store for that shoe (which surprised me because she implied earlier that the particular sandal I purchased only came in one width) but could order my width from their other store in Colleyville and would have it by Friday at which time I told her I could not be there on Friday but would come by on Saturday. I told her I would no longer wear the sandals I purchased since we were going to do an exchange and she insisted that I still wear them and to not worry about it. When I returned to the store on Saturday for the exchange, I had an awful experience with Judy, the owner, and his daughter. The owner and his daughter proceeded to tell me that I could not exchange them because they were worn at which time I told them Judy told me to continue wearing them and that she would exchange them! They proceeded to want to see them on my foot and look at the width of the sneakers I was wearing and measure my feet again ... it was unbelievable how much they were arguing with me. The owner and his daughter were trying to convince me that I was fitted properly for the wide shoe and then the owner yelled at me and told me to calm down and lower my voice or he would not talk with me. Of course I was upset with the improper sizing and not following through with an exchange that was promised to me by Judy. Judy was in the store as well and just remained silent! The owner offered for me to keep the improperly sized shoes and to pay half price for the properly sized shoes. I declined his offer for me to pay more money for properly sized shoes when 1) they sold me the wrong width and 2) Judy told me to continue wearing them and that she would exchange them. I will never step foot in this store again. From now on I will buy my Birkenstocks either directly from Birkenstock online or other vendors but I will not step foot in the Forth Worth or Colleyville Take 5 Birkenstock stores (both have same owner) again. Also, I called Birkenstock USA today and they were shocked that Judy drilled additional holes in the straps. This should not be necessary if they are sized properly. They will be escalating my feedback up to the President of Birkenstock USA. read more

Over the years, I have purchased quite a few shoes at Take Five. I have not been in for two years and expect it to be my last Visit. Your no return policy is not good! I purchased, wore 20 minutes until my feet were killing me, back in the box and came in for a return.but nope, no returns! and associate was rude. i need some more shoes, but I am headed to The Good Feet Store! The staff here was great - very patient as I tried multiple styles of Birkenstock. They have a huge selection - including many new styles I hadn't seen. They also carry NAOT, Chaco, and other similar brands. They have a Colleyville location as well so when they didn't have my size in something, they were willing to have it delivered to the store from the other location. I'll definitely come back if I have a Birkenstock need. read more

My experience was great and I'd definitely come back. I was helping a relative find a pair of sandals that were adjustable and comfortable since he was having some medical issues with his feet. We were greeted at the door and helped immediately. She was so kind and listened to what he needed, and we were able to find a shoe that worked on the first try. I tried to purchase some sandals locally this morning. I walk into the store, tell him what I'm looking for and the guy tells me they don't make the shoe I want anymore. I said, I just got a Facebook ad and it's in their spring line. He says, show me, so I did. Then he says, well, sometimes they sell things that we can't get. (That's a lot different than telling me, they don't make that shoe anymore!) Then I asked if he minded letting me try the size I was sure I needed. He said, I'm not in hat business! (I told him I called last season and tried again to purchase this shoe locally from him.) It was 10am, I was the only person in the store and there were two employees. UPDATE: I called Birkenstock Customer Service to ask about sizing since i didn't try on the pair i ordered online. The woman told me to go into a store to be fitted. I will be a lifetime customer at the Take 5 Bireknstock Colleyville location! The sales staff are very well educated on how to size their clients feet and they are not pushy. I found Take 5 Birkenstocks online. I am so glad I drove there. I exhausted my local retailer options. I went to Dillards, Whole Earth Provision, Nordstrom, the Walking Company and E.G. Geller. Non of the floor sales staff measured my feet and non of them could tell me which size of Birkenstock I needed. Thank God for the competent, educated, friendly staff at Take 5 Birkenstock. They actually measured my foot. Then observed me walking in the shoe and correctly sized my foot! I can't praise this company enough! I will be recommending them to my friends. read more

I visited the store on Colleyville Blvd. yesterday. Met RICK/Richard. Soooo nice, knowledgable, helpful. Not at all a pushy salesman. 20 years expire ce... He knew exactly what my daughter and I needed. Berkinstock arch support inserts are fantastic. Many other brands of top quality shoes and some high end sneakers. Definitely will be back... Very displeased! I bought a pair of shoes there, one of which was the floor sample. I get home and try to wear them and notice that one felt very different from the other one. So I returned them within 3-5 days. I asked for a refund, I had my reciept, I was told that he could not give a refund, he could only order me another pair, he saw nothing wrong with the shoes. So they ordered me new pair. When I returned to the store, I showed them that the receipt plainly said they give refunds. Then he said the shoes were not in "new" condition. The shoes were in new condition. The first time he said he saw nothing wrong with the shoes therefore could not refund, then he said the shoes were not in new condtion. The soles of these shoes showed no wear nor mark. Worst Customer Service ever. read more
