First of all, I went to several other stores and felt like a nuisance. The first step into Altard'd State was a completely different experience. The employee was the first person to smile and say good morning to me. Never underestimate the power of a kind word! I immediately felt more comfortable. Throughout my shopping experience the employees were friendly, attentive, and helpful. I was so grateful to experience warm customer service on a day that I so needed it. Aside from the smiles, I also found several cute pieces. I love the variety they had and the giant sale section in the back. Amazing experience and I will be back.

The rules of consigning changes depending on who answers the phone. 3 weeks after I dropped off my items it took them 20 minutes to even find my account. I am so confused about the payouts. I dropped my stuff off the middle of May, did not go on the floor until the middle of June. First check was at the end of July. I was told July 26th that I had $30 on my account but when I asked what my Check would be in August, I was told nothing and I would have to wait until September. I just called September 18th and I was told that I missed the 15th cut off so I would not get a check until October! WHAT! They have no clue what they are doing and will just argue! I'm done and can't wait until this nightmare is over!

We've driven all through Dallas and even all the way to San Antonio to find the rare sneakers and this amazing store was within 5 miles of my home! A definite hidden gem. A good amount of "Rare" to choose from... from kids to adult. They also have regular getting around town shoes and clothing galore! After a staff lunch one day one of my coworkers convinced us to take a detour to Keeping Up with the Joneses before we headed back to work. I am so glad I did. This little shop is the perfect size. It's small, quaint, and has just enough to browse without being overwhelming. We started with the clearance rack outside and the clothes were so cute! The sales are really good! One of my coworkers scored a gorgeous blue and white work dress and a pink and coral lace dress for a wedding reception--both on sale for $50! They had some cute white shirts with black printed sayings on them. I got two that said "Chanel and Champagne" although I was really in love with the "You had me at Merlot" shirt. They just didn't have it in my size. :-( The sizes available go up to size 14. If you look hard enough you can find some items in XXL, but the selection is small, so keep an open mind. I plan to regularly stop by to see what is on sale and maybe fall in love with more of their clothes. I spotted some gorgeous dresses and tops, but again my size wasn't available. There's a small fitting room in the shop. It's located in the back of the store, which is also where Aria Salt is (they share the space). One thing that I really love is that the material of the clothes felt thick and durable. You can tell the clothes are well made and will last. The owner was friendly and helpful, giving tips on what kind of shoes went with my coworker's dresses and ringing us up quickly. I also scored two large stemless wine glasses for 50% off each. I'm loving my new wine glasses! Can't wait to go back to Keeping up with the Joneses!
