So the shits been scraping the ground. This past Friday I take my car to Firestone in Huntersville to get it fixed along with a few other things. Unbeknownst to me until I hit a bump on the way to Asheville for my birthday weekend , the shit is still hanging and scraping the road as I drive. Fast forward to today. I call Coxe this morning. They're crazy busy so I don't have any expectations. I call my husband to see if his friend who owns a shop about 45 min away can get it done. He can. I dont wanna have to drive out there just yet so I bring my car to Coxe like they advised. As Cat mentioned before it may take a minute to get to my car. It's all good. I'm waiting for only 2 min or less and Cat at the front desk told me they'll get to my car real soon once a lift opens. In literally less than 6 min my car is in the back. Wow! Also waiting in the lobby and the other lady is vacuuming asking me if she's disturbing me. Just friendliness and kindness all around. Then Aaron comes out and tells me that the front piece was being held up by zip ties. Thanks Firestone! Rather than telling me they need to order the parts from Honda like Aaron said, they pieced my shit together for it to just come down. Firestone in Huntersville did me dirty. I'm leaving a review there too. Aaron gave me the piece that was hanging down. Gave me the ONE screw that was there out of like 8 or so that I needed. AND THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME!!! Thank you thank you thank you so much Kat and Aaron!!! If I ever need work done and have a visit coming up for Asheville, I'll just take my car here. I mean I love Asheville cause most everyone I encounter here are polite and kind, but this is some next level shit for me as a Black Woman. I'm typically on guard to ensure I'm not taken advantage of. Literally Aaron and Kat put me at ease.

Always went here for my oil change for decades, no problems other than always messing up my tire…read morepressure, however, the last time the guy obviously overtightened the oil drain plug because the next day I had oil spots on my driveway, so I looked under my car to discover a leak coming from the oil pan area. Zero spots on my driveway before and the next day spots where I was parked. My car is new straight, from a dealership and I had only been driving it for less than six months, so I took it back to the dealership to have them inspect it and they said it was from over torquing the drain plug, and replacement was the only option to stop the leak because the plug was stripped. Apparently, you have to replace more than just a simple plug when that happens, so I had to pay $1000 out of pocket with the labor! Zero issues before, as my car is new, and $1000 plus the price of the oil change for trusting this Valvoline for my oil change. I called Valvoline corporate and they said that they have tools that are designed to stop over torquing, but obviously that's not true in every situation because my car was certainly an exception. My friend who used to manage the Valvoline said it did still happen occasionally and it's not fool proof. Corporate basically told me I had no proof it was them. Why would I have no oil dripping in the previous 6 months and the next day oil in my driveway?! The dealership even wrote on my print out receipt that it was obvious what happened, but corporate said yeah, but you don't have proof. How else can I? So, basically, I paid $1100 for an oil change at this Valvoline. Obviously NEVER AGAIN!

I get my vehicle inspections done here and had the transmission fluid changed in my Tahoe also. I like the work structure and open communication between the workers topside and in the pit.The workers are always friendly and professional. I'm sure the other locations are equal but when I start trusting a place and its crew I don't vary. There are other establishments that may be a bit cheaper but there is usually a reason for that. Recently there are new stores closer to me but i have no reason to switch. I am the same way with car part stores.
