I stopped in last night, took about 45 minutes to be let into the garage. A young man was taken care of me, asked all the questions prepared my car for an oil change, we discussed pricing which was either $103 or $120 depending on the grade, I did say I have a coupon for $25 so I'd be more likely to get the higher end oil and use the coupon to keep it at around $100. Out of nowhere, some other guy chimes in, and brutally starts to bark that I wasn't going to get that price, I'm not a criminal, I'm not someone who disrespects others, and I definitely did not expect this guy to just fly off the handle and act like a complete asshole. He said the minimum for me without the coupon would be $200, the coupon would knock it down to $170. I've taken my car to Take five oil change numerous times and I have never paid over $125 with the coupons. Every single time I go, I do have to admit the prices vary, except for the one that I frequent in my neighborhood which they already know me, but the common denominator is they always try to upsell you or charge you extra for apparently zero reason. My car didn't grow, and my car didn't shrink. I should always have the same price because it's the same amount of oil that I put in, and the same grade. I did not appreciate this guy chiming in and acting like a jerk, and then he quickly let me out of the garage as to say get the fuck out of here. How about management or owner start paying these guys a livable wage so that they don't have to act like used car salesman and try to make some kind of ridiculous quota, these are all assumptions, but I do feel like if they were to get paid a good amount, their attitude and the way they do business would change. read more

Totally incompetent staff. Came for an oil change, then a day later, I was driving on the freeway when my oil light started flashing and I noticed smoke coming out from under my hood. Turns out -- THEY DIDN'T PUT MY OIL CAP BACK ON. I had also asked them to check my tire pressure since that light was on too; they told me I was good and the light would turn off after driving a bit more. A week later, light's still on and I find out 2 of my tires were 10 PSI under. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS AND DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Don't go to this location. I walked up to ask if they had a specific air filter so I'd know before I wasted my time in the line of cars. Initially I was ignored. Then the guy was incredibly condescending and rude. Refused to check until he'd gotten thru all the other customers which "is gonna be a while". He suggested without even knowing what kind I needed that "maybe they just don't carry it" despite my having gotten my last 4 oil changes for this car at various take 5s without issue until yesterday when one location was out. This fact didn't prompt a change in approach, although, by that time they'd lost my trust so it wouldn't have mattered if they'd had it. I left. Thankful I didn't use any expletives on the way. For the record. Drove about a two miles up to Holcomb and they had no trouble pausing to quickly look for me. Took less than 2 minutes. I have to give this guys a low score, I came here during the summer, I had my son with me, once you get in of course you have to turn your car off, but since it is a drive through, it is not convenient at all, come here when it is cold you may suffer shortage of oxygen leaving your window up. Regardless of those negatives, the guys try to be friendly, unfortunately they almost cause damage to my car when they forgot to put this part back on, it was right on top of my engine. The most important thing is, I paid for premium oil, full synthetic like I've always done at Firestone, they were $15 cheaper, but when my engine started to throw a strong emission smell, I had to take it to my mechanic, he recommended I change the oil again, so we did back at Firestone, I haven't had any problems since, they take long, and they don't take 15 to 25 minutes like TAKE 5, but I am not sure, and have no proof that I may have got cheap and bad oil on purpose, or if that is the way they run their business. read more

Showed up at 10am said they got their tools stolen the night before so they couldn't do the oil change. Said they'd give me $20 off for my trouble if I came back later. They said come back after 12:30pm. I came back at 3pm and they still didn't have the right tools. I asked for a coupon or something for coming twice in one day with no oil change and they said they didn't have any. I have gone to this place quite a few times and they hadn't had many issues prior to today. Pretty disappointed in the service today read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here if you need an inspection. I've driven over to this location 3 times in the past week. Each time I was told the inspector would be there. You can't call to double check, the answering service they have is TRASH! All it does is send you to voicemail. Each time I arrived at this location, the time I was told the inspector would be there I was told either a) he left early or b) he called out. I had to drive to a complete different location just to get a 15 minute service down. I even left this location to buy new windshield wipers and guess what ?! The inspector was still there. I came here today to get my oil changed and they told me my oil cap was stripped and they had to refund me, I then told Them that this is the only place I get my oil changed so that means one of they own workers did this and all they had to say was the person is fired, never coming back read more

I'm not sure why it received 1-2 stars because every time I go there, their service has been top-notch. I was there today and Andrew and his crew were so friendly and helpful from the time I drove up, to the time I drove away. They offered me cold water on a 100-degree day, and his boss made sure that I received one. The whole crew was excellent and very professional. I'm not sure if I picked a "good" day or if everyone was in a good mood, but I'm glad I went there. I left with a smile on my face. read more

I come here all the time great service and the guys are sissy's friendly. Last week I was unable to bring my wife's car in and they took full advantage. I usually pay around $50 they give me a bottle of water and call me by name. It's quick and way. My wife comes and they charge her $90 . I'm honestly extremely disappointed and upset at this Take 5 visit. For years I have been a loyal customer I get all my cars services here and while I'm here waiting at 5:55pm at 6:20 one of the workers come and tell me " you can wait around if you want but by the time we get to you we will be closed, and we will not serve you" I was thinking about switching where I change my oil since the prices have shot up but this is the icing on the cake. Don't waste any of your money here, the people that work here are absolutely incompetent. If I could give 0 stars I would. I came in to get my oil changed about a month ago, and it seemed like everything was fine. However, yesterday I heard a strange noise coming from under my car and when I looked under I found half the undercarriage coming off! It couldn't have been anything else because I haven't gotten any other work done since getting my oil changed. I brought it back to Take 5 and turns out the person who screwed it back in put the screws in wrong and they completely fell out of the car, resulting in half of the undercarriage hanging off. When I informed them of THEIR mistake, their solution was not to order new screws or screw it back in but to use ZIPTIES on my car to secure it. The guy working there said it would "hold for a long time," yeah right. I immediately questioned the guy working there as to why they had improperly screwed it in in the first place and he tried to claim the "vibrations" from the car cause the screws to come loose. Not only that, they didn't even offer me a refund or a voucher for the problem that they caused. So, my best advice? Never come here and don't bother wasting your money. You could risk severe damage to your car, I was lucky enough to catch it in time. Absolutely ridiculous and pure incompetence. read more

They changed my oil at this location and then failed to replace my under carriage. The part fell off while visiting my mother's home in the driveway. My car isn't old. It's a 2019 Honda HRV. The next day, I took the car to the dealership and was told the screws and clips were left off and that why it came off. Take 5 costs me $136.38 out of pocket because they left off my under carriage which was totally incompetent. Then, when I spoke to their corporate office and the Scott St. location Mgr., "Herbert". He tried to get around the fact that the caused it. I provided receipt from them and the dealership providing my point. I'm a Realtor who drives for a living. They could have caused me a major accident. This stupid manager including, "Asked me, "what do you want us to do about?" which made me more angry....what about a refund or credit for the amount I spent on your incompetence.
