Terrible & Unprofessional. My 20 yr old son went to get oil changed in his younger sister's car. He wasn't told til AFTER they drained all the oil that they didn't have the filter in stock. They told him he could wait an hr while they ordered it. Obviously in that situation he could not sit in the car & wait 1 hr. So then they proceeded to tell him it was fine to keep the OLD filter til next oil changed- INSTEAD of saying we will change the oil but come back tmrw for the new filter. -NO discount for using the OLD DIRTY FILTER. -Receipt states filter REPLACED under svc checklist -I called location when my son got home as I was expectedly unhappy with this Svc -3 calls reached no one, national line I was transferred to said they would send a msg to the manager to call me -24 hrs later nothing -I called again reaching no one, again transferred to national line who placed me on a "20 MIN HOLD" while they reached out, again NOTHING I'll now be driving over there today to attempt to get the $100+ service we paid for and will NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE FOR AN OIL CHANGE AGAIN. read more

He took some time and looked in his system to discover that he was correct - and we had another few thousand miles that we could put on before changing again! My husband came here to get his oil change almost 2 weeks ago, and the service that was provided is inaccurate and proved to be a danger. First they try to tell me I need to do a coolant flush because there is smoke from the pin hole. What? Then they do the you need a new air filter. Both of which I decline. Then I hey fumble around and say we don't have the regular oil filter you need a synthetic filter. Again What? At this point I say just close everything back to how I came in. After some condescension remarks how they are happy and it's a great Sunday I pull out and have to pull right back in because they didn't put the air filter assembly back together, which they blamed on me for wanting them to close everything up. These folks have been changing the oil in my cars for a decade and they do not miss a beat. They do it all, too; oil change, filters, radiator flush, engine flush...they even do transmission fluid service! Superb service today, even better than usual, with Anthony leading the visit and taking care of everything aboveboard, while Danny took care of the below. Guy pulls up at 7:15, "manager ain't here, he got the keys, no idea when he's gonna be here." Five Minute Oil Change is awesome. Normally I wouldn't get this excited about a oil change store, but the guys at this location go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. You pull in, tell them what service you want and wait in your car while it is done. The oil change takes longer than five minutes, but it is always quick and easy. I have been here an untold number of times for oil changes and every time there was no hard up sell on useless extras. The workers always ask if you want a drink and happily do their job. Today's experience was also great. Trent was our attendant and he was polite, helpful and friendly. My full synthetic oil change was around $70, but traditional oil is between $35 and 40. They also offer a transmission flush for around $90 and will change your air filter or wiper blades for an additional fee. One word of caution; They do recommend and write that your next change should be in 3000 miles, but check your owners manual. For the most part, every 3000 miles is no longer recommended. read more

The new Manager is a JERK with an attitude. The other guys were great and kept apologizing for him but he was so rude from the beginning. I've gone to this location for a long time, with my cars and my daughter's car. My car takes a filter and a special Oil that they always seem to never have in stock. I've had to buy my oil at auto zone and bring it to them a couple times in the past, or they call around to other locations sending me on a goose chase. They last time I went I called first and they said both oil and filter were in stock, but when I got there the filter was not, they sent me to another location who said they had it but once I got there, they didn't have my oil, which sent me to another location where I finally received an oil change (3 hours later). The manager at the Mandivelle location felt terrible and offered me a 50% off my next oil change, I didn't ask for the discount but he gave it to me. Today, I went to get my oil changed and after sitting and waiting for 25 minute, I finally got into the bay for service, the young guy that scanned my car went to his manager (the JERK) and said "hey, there is a message saying she gets 50% off", the manager replies, "no, I'll look at it but she's not getting that, don't give her anything until I look at it". I told him it was correct and that I had a copy of it as well. The manager walked to me and said, " I'll give you 25% off but I'm not giving you 50%, the manager who gave it to you has been fired and I'm the new manager". I told him the whole story and he said 25% again, so I told him he needed to call his boss because it isn't my fault. That angered him but he called someone who told him to honor the 50%, he than told the other guys, "only change the filter and oil, nothing else". After he said that I called him a few choice words and he than told the guys to make sure they check the fluids, tire pressure, and to wash my windshield. Thank you to the man on the phone for doing what was right, and thank you to the men who work under that JERK manager because they were great! This shop made a big mistake to my BMW they put the wrong TYPE OF oil in it 3000 miles ago. They used oil that is for Mercedes Benz and they did not screw the filter on correctly so my ability to sell my car was hindered recently when the hood was lifted and potential buyers reported serious oil splatter all over under the hood along with potential damage to the hot oil smothering the alternator. I then became concerned that a serious problem was nearing leading me to miss work getting estimates at mechanic shops for an array of possible issues but when I took it to a Take 5 on airline in metarie they were discussing the issue under my hood and with a little questioning and receipt look up the truth was told. So, they changed the oil filter and oil within 20 minutes for $139 they cleaned up all the oil splatter from that day and suggested that I take my receipt to the take 5 location and request to speak to a manager. I've called the Hwy 22 location and nobody answers so I called the customer service number requesting a call back and no body called me back. I emailed customer service and they are not responding either. I'm very disappointed that this mistake was made because the computer tells us what to use and overall this mistake cost me 1) a few hundred dollars for oil changes and mechanic estimates; 13 hours of work without pay and unneeded worry and stress. I pray it doesn't cost more in the long run by having damaged any parts in my bmw 535i Gt engine and components. I'm grateful for the customer service and honesty shared by the crew at take 5 on airline drive in Metarie. If someone from hwy 22 in mandeville take 5 takes responsibility for this accident and reaches out to me I will consider removing this post upon resolution. MAN!! The customer service at this location is extraordinary. I have been in the service industry for 35 years and I have never had better customer service than at this Take 5 location. I pulled up and was greeted with a big smile and an offer of a bevarage. I never left the comfort of my truck, and it is actually cold today. Jordan, Leonard, Jesse and Steven were very polite, professional and respectful. I chose the Castrol Edge High Mileage, Ecoguard air filter and new Logic wipers because these guys were so amazing with customer service. BUYER BEWARE WITH SO MANY OPTIONS FOR OIL CHANGES IN ST. TAMMANY PARISH, I WOULD NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!! Below was my experience and correspondence with them: I wanted to report a bad experience that I had at your location in Mandeville. (3849 Hwy. 22) I live not far from your location and normally bring my wife's car there for oil changes. My F150 has never had the oil changed since new, by anyone but myself. I recently had surgery, so I decided to have you guys change my oil. (Big mistake and the exact reason that I change my own oil) When I returned home to clean and oil my K&N Filter, I popped the hood and immediately smelled burning oil. First thing that I did was look at the front of the motor where the oil filter was located. Upon inspection, I noticed that there was a rag wrapped around the filter. When I went to remove the rag, it would not come all the way free, the filter was actually tightened and the rag was jammed between the filter and the motor. Upon further inspection underneath my truck, I noticed that there was oil splattered everywhere underneath the vehicle. I also noticed that there was a trail of oil in my driveway and down my street. Not only did the guy incorrectly install the oil filter with the rag wedged in it, causing it to leak, but he did not even make an attempt to wipe the drip tray or anything down underneath. Had I not noticed this, the oil would have continued to leak on my trip the next day and eventually would have blown my engine and I would have sued your company and I would be the proud owner of a Take 5 Oil Change. I immediately went back to the location and asked to speak to the manager. Fred Tolbert was his name and he addressed everything in a timely manner and resolved all of my issues. I explained to him that I wanted his name, the owners contact information and the name of the tech that was in the pit (Dylan was the person responsible) I would not have this negligent person working in my establishment, as he has no clue what he is doing and can really cause damage to your reputation and business. (If he will do this to my car he will do it to 100 cars) By the way, Fred was really a pleasure. Of course, Fred told me that since Take 5 is a franchise, he did not know who the owner was and gave me a corporate email address. Sounded like he just did not want to give me the owners information , so I told him not to worry that I would be able to retrieve the contact information via our database at my office and here we are. Anyway, you lost a customer today with two vehicles or one vehicle and an occasional F150. As you may or may not know St. Tammany Parish is a small community and word of mouth travels pretty far. Additionally, there are numerous options when it comes to getting your oil changed. In todays day and age, people take online reviews very serious in the buying process. The internet (Google Reviews, Nextdoor app, Yelp, Trip Advisor, to name a few) are extremely powerful tools and I will posting the details of my experience at Take 5 in order to make sure that Dylan does not have the opportunity to screw up anyone else's vehicle. I sure hope that this long winded email helps you make the necessary changes before someone's vehicle is seriously damaged. I received a call from Chris Cuccia on 5.3.21. During our call Mr. Cuccia said that he would be sending me something by email that I could use to redeem a complimentary oil change due to my troubles. Over one week later and I still have never received anything from him, I verified that it did not get caught up in spam and I reached out to them once again. I am quite surprised at the lack of follow-up, since he sounded sincere over the phone. I should not have had to reach back out to them considering the circumstance. Do not use this place under any curcumstances. They overfilled our 1 1/2 year old Nissan Murano with oil. The end result was it destroyed our engine. Take 5 is taking no responsibility even tho we have proof of the situation. It has now been 3 months with smoke billowing out of our car and having to put oil in 1x per week.
