In part I wanted my tire back and they wanted to keep it, I told them no. They refused to fix my tire. Don't go here. Went in Mandeville shop for something in tire. Took me right away. came back and said that my tire is dry rotted and need a new tire. I have just got my oil changed at dealership and everything was fine with the tires. They put my tire back on the rim and said they would not fix it. Went to another tire shop after work. They told me that my tire was put back on the rim backwards. It took three technicians to make the decision not to fix my tire. They do not know what they are doing! I'm the original owner of a 2012 car. The tires that came on it when I purchased the car over 10 years ago lasted for almost 75,000 miles. The tires that the NTB salesman talked me into buying have only lasted 25,000 miles. He sold me crap! Maybe they were running some sales incentive on that particular brand tire that month, I don't know. All I know is my driving hasn't changed. Got 100,000 miles in 10 years so I don't drive that much. My wife and I were staying in Mandeville, LA., just across Lake Ponchartrain from NOLA. While we were there we found ourselves having to buy four tires and a battery for our Jetta. Not being local we were not sure where to go so we looked online for reviews of auto tire/battery businesses. National Tire and Battery had great reviews so we called them to see if we needed an appointment. Shawn, the man I was speaking with, said they could get us right in. We drove there and were pleasantly greeted by the technicians in the service bay and then headed to the office, where we were also pleasantly greeted by Shawn. He was kind, professional, and efficient. The necessary work was performed in good time and the cost was reasonable. My wife and I are travelers and live in our RV full-time. We are never in one spot for too long. We were concerned about what recourse we had if we had troubles with their work. We were pleased to find out they are affiliated with Tire Kingdom so those concerns were unfounded. They have a clean and pleasant waiting room and offer coffee to enjoy while you are waiting. We had the opportunity to also speak with Steve, the manager. It is very obvious he understands great customer service and expects all the employees to provide it.I I feel if you do business with them you will be very glad you did. I had an 11am appointment. It's almost 4pm and NTB hasn't even moved my car from its original spot. I've heard of 5 minute oil changes but I've never heard of a 5 HOUR oil change. This is unacceptable. No calls. No updates. I've been by the lobby twice hoping to pick up my car but NTB hasn't even touched my Accord yet. After waiting for NTB Corp. to answer by the 1-800# I may finally get some resolution. All this headache for a simple oil change. read more

I got a flat at 4:45 pm the Thursday before July 4 holiday (which was a Monday). I have a fist so tired are hard to come by, an unusual size. Dropped the car off after hours. They called me first thing Friday morning and told me they would try to find me tires. Even called their competitors. Couldn't find me any. Ordered them from Shreveport and since Monday was a holiday, they promised they would have car ready by Tuesday. True to their word, Tuesday early afternoon my tires were replaced and I was good to go! Great place, great service! read more

I bought a set of tires from NTB and they sold me the road hazard warranty... I get a nail in a tire and take it by NTB and they say they cannot provide service as they are booked up until Monday... Three days away to get a nail fixed when they sold me a warranty to fix my tires... If you cannot fix tires you should not sell a warranty for it... Awesome quick service! So grateful to the guys at this location today!! Towing our boat to the boat launch, a trailer tire blew out. We called and they had one in stock and told us to come on in. We arrived and they were johnnies-on-the-spot! We were in and out in less than 20 minutes with a new tire. They even helped stop traffic on Asbury so we could back out of their driveway. Got 4 new tires on my Ford Excursion. They had to order them but they came in on schedule. I went through NTB for a few reasons. 1) price competitive 2) nationwide warranty with locations across the country as I travel in this vehicle for long road trips. 3) 6month interest free financing on their company card, with rebates. I've purchased new tires here several times. I always price shop on Amazon or elsewhere online to check for deals, but the NTB prices are always competitive. I live in Mandeville, and recently bought a set of General brand tires for a minivan I use for work. After the tires were put on, in one week, I ran over two screws on two separate tires (I located the screws and the damage myself) and managed to limp the van back to the store. Steven (a tech) fixed my tires, in both cases. This guy is thorough and a pro. Super impressive. This NTB store makes you feel like a valued customer, and although they are always busy, never rush me or leave me hanging. Excellent job, and I will be back again. read more

HORRIBLE! Never, ever go there. Mandeville location broke a part on truck when changing tire and decided it was not their fault. However, they would fix for an additional $150. So convenient! This place is a joke! We took our car in to have our free rotation and balance done (it was included in the purchase of our tires). We left the car for a couple of hours so they could do the work. When we got back it didn't look like the car had been moved. We left, the car drove exactly the same as it had when we dropped it off. After closer checking we realized they hadn't done anything to our car. No rotation, no balancing...nothing, but lied and gave us paperwork saying they did. What a terrible excuse for good business practices! We've used various NTBs across the country and never had a complaint. I called Sunday to inquire how much an oil change would be, the receptionist Tarra put me on hold for a long time, so I decided to drive there. I got in the office before she picked up the phone! She asked me what I want, I tell her a synthetic been oil change and tire rotation, and I am told that the oil would need to be ordered. I say ok I'll try a different place before ordering it. I go by there again yesterday after work and there was a mechanic at the front desk assisting a lady, he takes care of her and does not even say hi to me for 20 minutes, answers 2 calls with just me in the store and not a peep!!! Rude! He never asked what oil change I want or what car i drive, I tell him I need to make an appointment, he schedules it. I get there today and another mechanic is asking me for my car key. I ask him if he know what my car needs and how long will it take, I am told the receptionist is busy and he calls another guy from the back. I just walked out when I am told yet by another mechanic that their oil change takes over an hour and that they are busy! What about the service I need and how much it costs?? I would go anywhere else but here to do business from now on!!! read more

Beware! They improperly fixed my axel which resulted in it failing on the causeway! Had my kids with me. We are lucky we didn't end up in the lake!!! Had to get towed to the south shore to have it fixed properly! We were informed that it had been installed incorrectly! This is totally unacceptable! This location refunded our money. read more

My husband and I stopped in to get service done on a rental car from Enterprise after we found out that there was a vibration when traveling over 60 MPh on the interstate and also the steering wheel was turned to the left even when the car was traveling straight down the road along with it pulling to the left. We chose this shop because it was the closest at the time to get the work done. When we entered we were greeted and told that it would be about an hour to get the work done. We sat in the shop for and hour and a half and the car never moved from out parking spot. We went up to get the keys and the guy just tossed them across the counter and said here you go. No apology and no remorse for the service ineptitude. I attribute this to HOMOPHOBIA because of us being a male couple try nag to get things done. I wouldn't use this shop even if it was the last shop on Earth! On the way home we called the Slidell East store and Kim worked us in and made sure the safety issues were taken care of!!!!! Do NOT go here! WARNING! STAY AWAY! After being assured that their best tire installer was on the job, and after over 2 hours of watching him, and 2 additional techs struggle to get a 315/35/17 on a 9x17 aluminum wheel, they gave up (their last roll of the dice was spraying ether starting fluid in my tire which only set it on fire-that tech has been terminated). So when I washed my car a few days later I noticed significant light scuffs in the clearcoat on the wheel that these incapable troglodites tried to put a tire on. Stephen, the "manager" said that I would have to show him the damage in person, so I went there and showed him. His lame, pathetic response was that the company that installed the tires after I left NTB could have caused the damage. (Yeah, right. I'm sure that the shop whose PROFESSIONAL techs mounted ALL 4 tires on all 4 wheels in a matter of minutes vs struggled unsuccessfully for 2 hours and 15 minutes until they finally gave up...yeah they are to blame...lol.) Funny how none of the other 3 wheels that NTB didn't touch are perfect, and only the wheel that NTB wrestled with is scuffed. What a waste of time going to see Stephen. He knew the whole story, saw the security camera video, and I'm sure had no intention of accepting responsibility, but told me to come in anyway. I have left a message for Derrick, the District Manager, but I haven't heard back yet. I will see them in small claims court if they don't make this right. I brought the same wheels and tires to Goodyear on Northshore Blvd by Northshore Square mall and they did a great job of installing and balancing my wheels and tires. Too bad NTB. FAIL!! read more

Follow up to my previous review. After work in the front end of my vehicle was done I now have more issues than I started with. Went to get new inner and outer tie rod ends installed, so of course to do the replacement on the owners they took my rack and pinion out and doing this of course had to disconnect the lines. Well the that afternoon steering got hard do checked and was out of power steering fluid. When I refilled the reservoir fluid started leaking everywhere. Further inspection they did not install the seals where they removed the lines. Contacted the store and they said it was not their fault and would not offer any assistance. I HIGHLY ADVISE EVERYONE TO STAY CLEAR OF THIS SHOP.!!! All they want is your money and seem to cause problems to get you back so they can get more of your money!!! read more

WARNING!! I spent close to 3k at this shop in one month. The tire service was fine and they seem to have fixed a serious frontend problem. I was impressed with Steven. I then took my Dodge in for a diagnostic because there was a warning light coming on that indicated a problem with the Electronic Throttle Control. They got one and installed it while I sat in the waiting area for 4.5 hours. The mechanic, Mike assured me that the problem was fixed. Cost: $475.00. My wife started the car the next morning and the warning light came back on. Ricky assured me that they would take care of the problem. Ricky called me while I was at work and stated that the real problem was an Intake Manifold Casket. Cost $258.00. I asked about the ETC they had installed that did not fix the problem. Ricky's response: "We had to start somewhere and even though it did not fix the problem, you needed it anyway" ???????. I will never set foot in that store again. I am not mentally challenged. I purchased tires for four cars at the Mandeville, LA NTB. They did the rotation and balancing as part of the price and I kept it up to make sure the tires were properly maintained. The Aspen tires wore out (bald) within 25k miles (60k tires). They would not warranty because there was no tread left. Duh, they were crap tires - 3 sets, 12 tires, none with more than 25,000 miles on them. Their help for me was more than new ones at Costco. One of the last set separated, had full tread left, they gave me $30 on a $200 tire as warranty because it had too many miles. Miles didn't matter before! By the way, on a warranty replacement you pay for mounting, road hazard, tax, tire disposal, ... Didn't I do that on the defective tire in the first place? Why do I have to do again and pay to dispose of the crap tire? Cost me full price for the tire before it was over. They are crooks! Read the fine print because they will not stand behind their products or their service. Buyer beware! read more
