Torrential downpours led to a flight cancellation, which could have caused a nervous breakfdown, but April and her co-worker Michelle were rockstars! I remember used to be American Connection, US Airways Express (w/ KCI Airport which honorable mention), and Air Choice One. Meanwhile, my family hang around kirksville all the time; walmart supercenter shopping, grocery at Aldis, McDonalds, Burger King, Shoes, Doctors Appointment, Ice Cream, grocery at Hy-Vee, JCPennies, Home Depot, especially going to movies at Downtown Cinema all the time for 2 decades except Kirksville Airport which my family never been there. Too Bad i had cancelled flyhome to Kirksville from St. Louis so I have to take Shuttle Bus, it sucks. I don't care how smaller airport, I don't mind. Anyway, your airport is clean, smells like coffee (Mmmm), and something else.

It was supposed to rain the next day. I can live without Internet but they were having major problems with Internet and it was unavailable at their north building. So they said they can move me to the south building across the street. So, after re-packing all of my stuff and putting it back into my vehicle, I went to the other room across the street and discovered it was a smoking room. I am a former smoker and currently a non-smoker. This was very unpleasant. The original lady that had checked me in was off for the rest of the day by now, but she did give me her direct contact number. So, I contacted her and she said I will handle it. She came back a few minutes later stating that "they fired" her. So I drove up to the office and demanded a refund. Which they issued. It has yet to hit my bank (same day). My original room smelt like the basement of a grandmother's house. Nothing personal Grandma! I decided to go down the road a couple miles to Americas Best value Inn to get an excellent room with excellent customer service and excellent Wi-Fi. There's supposedly new owners at the travelers motel but apparently they haven't learned anything yet. I would not recommend staying there and as they can guarantee those things that you need.

I booked 2 rooms through hotels.com and was supposed to pay at the hotel. Hotel Marceline charged…read moreme 1/2 of each room up front. I had free cancellation until 9/18 and I cancelled on 8/5. I cancelled but haven't received my refund. I'm not getting anywhere to receive it as hotels.com won't back the cancellation policy, hotel marceline won't answer their phone for them either and hotel marceline keeps stating a refund was sent that day but my bank looked into it and nothing has been attempted to be refunded. Don't book here if there is even a slight chance of having to cancel as you will be out the money. It doesn't matter if it says you can cancel they won't honor it.

We had a family reunion dinner there, with an amazing fresh salad, hand squeezed lemonade, mashed potatoes, fresh garden picked green beans, chicken and homemade peach ice cream and chocolate cake. William took us out for a hayride and was kind enough to show us their home and beautiful gardens. They'll be moving to Kansas when they sell the place, but I hope they'll find someone else to keep on with the wonderful start they've made.

The Bevier Campground has a pickleball court, play area for kids, swing sets, as well as an outdoor slip & slide...how cool is that?? While we were there, a wedding and reception was taking place at the campground community center! The electric and sewage hook-ups worked as they should...which is a plus! We parked in the back of the campground, next to the lake and the woods. I would highly recommend camping at this spot at least once this year!
