    Art for sale!

Tacos were good. The service could've been better but we (party of 3) went kind of late and the bartender/server could've been tired. All in all a very beautiful establishment with plenty of photo opportunistic areas.

Came here on my last day in San Juan and wow, the food, the service, everything was incredible. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area, it's about a 10 minute walk from Condado beach and you won't regret it, i will be back!!

First time in PR and wanted Mexican. This place was amazing. The got the Chicken chimichangas and it was bigger than I expected. The salsa and chips I couldn't stop eating. The walls were hand painted and amazing. The bartender/waitress gave excellent advice on food and drinks.

    Tinga de Pollo Chimichanga

The service was slow considering how empty the restaurant was. The food good was. I had ordered the Tinga de Pollo Chimichanga. But the servings and the price are horrible, 1 tiny churro with 2 scoops of ice cream for $7.50 looks like it can only fill a shot glass. Also from where I was sat there was water leaking and dripping on my party and it didn't rain that day or anything like that.

I got takeout here while visiting San Juan. I got the Carne asada chimichanga and the carnitas keka, and I quite enjoyed the taste of both. I feel like in California with more of the texmex restaurants here, it's quite uncommon to see Chimichangas and Kekas on the menu, though I'm not sure if Keka is just another name for quesadilla, as that's what it tastes like. As you can tell from my lack of knowledge, I may not be the best source for recommending authentic Mexican food, but as someone who missed the California-style Mexican restaurants, this was very good. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because it was actually quite pricy, especially for San Juan, while not including all that much food. Pictured here is actually two separate entrees, each about $12-$15, and the chimichanga is smaller than what that amount would typically get me for a normal burrito. Also, if you are in PR, you should probably try the other more authentic selections of Dominican or PR food. Overall though, it was good for someone who missed those tastes and the service and ambiance was nice.

A beautiful painting inside of the restaurant.

Takeria was walking distance from my hotel. The service was fast and friendly. They have many vegan and vegetarian options. The atmosphere is cool.

In the heart of condado, this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant was something we checked out after the beach because we were craving some tacos. We found the restaurant on apple maps, and it seemed to be rated generally well, so we stopped by. The four of us were immediately sat, and the restaurant was not too crowded. The food took a little longer than expected, but was well worth the wait. I got the carne asada and fish taco, which were both amazing. But the fish taco. I'd do some questionable things to be in puerto rico eating the fish tacos from here again. It was one of the best fish tacos i've had, and the sauces that were provided complimented the flavors really well. My friend got a chicken chimichanga which was also amazing. Slightly pricier than some tacos i've had, but still really good. Fun atmosphere as well, as the staff began to sing karaoke with the words being projected onto a screen and encouraged customers to participate. We told our friends who went the next day and had the same good experience as us. I wanted to go again, but we chose to try out some new places instead of hitting the same ones.

Takeria is a definite must visit while in Puerto Rico! The atmosphere is amazing. Great music and cute swing seats that you have to visit in person to appreciate! The decor is also super cute, neon lights everywhere. We ordered: Guacamole & Chips Margarita Carnitas, al pastor, pollo tacos Churros I'd skip the churros and go for another order of tacos. They are covered in cinnamon sugar, but the inside dough itself didn't have flavor and tasted watery. Another thing you'll want to know is there is no tap water, just bottles of water should you want water to drink.

Stumbled across this gem on my walk back from Condado Beach. The tacos were AMAZING! They have a great selection for vegans. It is a hit!!!! I also got their jicama with tajin (yummmm) in addition to the nopales(cactus) tacos & impossible asada(vegan meat). Everything was flavorful and they had a special sauce. Love love loooove.

Service was very personable and attentive. Bartender (Alejandra) was wonderful and made the experience. The food was able to keep up with stellar service, Fish tacos were awesome, Chicken Tinga tacos were flavorful but tasted very dried out. Cocktails were super fresh! 'La Verde' was my personal favorite :) Chips & Salsa was disappointing, Chips were definitely stale and the salsa had little to no flavor whatsoever. Cute, gastropub interior, overall very positive experience!

From the outside, you'd think to just pass by it but on the inside it's super trendy and cool. I ordered one drink and 2 tacos. The tacos were extremely small--I'd say a normal person would need 3. The order of chips and guac was also pretty minimal. I enjoyed both of their house hot sauces! Too small servings but decent taste. Pretty fast service too!

The vibe was great, the food was fresh and well made, and the service was friendly overall. A fun bonus: we actually got to see the famous rock band Maná dining there, which was such a cool surprise! We ordered quite a bit--the chips and queso, chips and guac, hot sauce, tamale, rice and beans, kids cheese quesadilla, and veggie fajitas. The kids' quesadilla was a huge hit with our 5-year-old (who is a picky eater and devoured it). The veggie fajitas were decent and tasty, though for the price I would have liked a bit more on the plate in terms of sides. There was a small hiccup where cilantro was accidentally added to one of my dishes, and it did take quite a while for the corrected dish to come out, but they were very kind about it. That said, everything else was enjoyable and the overall experience was still very good. Overall, a great spot for solid Mexican food in Old San Juan with a fun atmosphere and fresh flavors.

Walk, run, drive, float, fly, cancel that trip to Hawaii; do what you need to do; Eat dinner here immediately! I mean like, right now. It's 4am and you're in Wisconsin? Don't care. You should be here. I went out looking for a healthy salad after days of eating very rich foods. Planned to go to Opa! Opa was packed, but the doors were locked and the sign was off, despite not closing for another hour according to maps. Oh well. What's this up here? Paulina's. Ok let me check Yelp. Great ratings let's see if they have salads. Right on Ashford, indoor and outdoor seating. It was packed and there was 45 minutes til close. So I went straight to the bar. The server/bartender gave me the best service on this trip. She was prompt, checked in me at the right time, spoke to me in Spanish when I tried but English when I needed to. She was warm and smiled to everyone. While she made drinks i asked random things about the island, the language, and she seemed happy to tell me about it. Vibe was elegant, slightly high scale. I didn't know until I saw the menu... oh this is a Mexican restaurant! I drank an old fashion. It was delicious but tasted a little weak. Not sure how that can be when it's all liquor basically. Maybe I was just in a mode. But it was good. In retrospect, wtf am I drinking an old fashion for? Should have had something more Caribbean! They had a great looking salad called El Orgánico iirc. But then I saw this interesting dish that came with a side salad. It is called "Torta elote de escanes" I think. Something like that. In Arizona a torta is a sandwich on a bun de Frances or Bolio. So I was struck when I read the description. Something about a corn soufflé, with green chiles. Sounded good but not crazy good. But then it went on "this is the one thing you should order at Paulina." Ok, who am I to argue? I ordered the torta elote; and two taquitos de pollo al pastor. (Chicken pastor tacos). She explained that the torts also had mushrooms and sour cream and is that ok. Yes, sounds great! Tacos came out first. Fantastic! I live in Arizona and am no stranger to pastor. This was top tier; probably the best I've had. Insanely tender chicken on a pan-toasted tortilla with pineapple and some sauce. Out of this world. But honestly, compared to what's coming next, I almost forgot all about those perfect tacos. Out comes the "torta". It looks like a rectangle piece of cornbread with crème and tomatoes on top. Served simply on a white flat plate, soufflé (torta) on the left, and the salad on the right. Ate the salad first. It was the low light. Fresh and tasty, but the dressing needs a bit more pop imo: maybe vinegar. I cut off a piece of the corn bread thing, being sure to include a bit of every ingredient. I'm lost for words. I don't know what to say. This is the perfect creation. This is a godly creation. I will never forget this. Now, as I mentioned, I'm from Arizona. So I love corn. I live green chiles. These are southwest flavors so maybe I'm biased. But this thing was perfect in every way as far as I'm concerned. What she said was sour cream I think was actually crème fraiche. But I don't care what you call it. Torta, sour cream, whatever! One of the best dishes I've eaten in my life. 6 stars.

The service was a little confusing at first. We were seated and expected to access the menu through a QR code, which wasn't immediately explained to us. We were also seated near one of the air conditioning units, which made some members of our party feel a bit cold during the meal. However, once the food arrived, all of those concerns quickly disappeared. The food was incredible. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, every dish at the table was delicious. The arroz con pollo was honestly the best I have ever had in my life. It was perfectly seasoned, comforting, and packed with flavor. Every bite felt like authentic Puerto Rican cooking at its best.
