The server was so great. He was nice and helpful in all ways. The food he helped me choose was delicious. The inside here is nice and clean and the seats are comfortable too.

We called in an order and came to pick it up. The sign on the door stated it is operating under 50% capacity, but that is completely false TOTALLY FALSE. Every booth and table had customers. . Only a couple seats at the bar were empty The girl behind the counter had no mask. None There is hand sanitizer at the register, but no division between used pens aNd sanitized or clean pens to sign a receipt I only left a 10% tip, when I usually leave 20-25% I will not come back as long as COVID 19 is still spreading Shame on you.

My wife and I have tried this restaurant over and over again. We absolutely love their sushi! But their entrees, for the money, don't add up at all! And that's my biggest problem with Takoyaki! This last time we visited was my my last straw! My wife ordered Thai Pan Curry. (I hope that's right) I ordered Tokyo Beef. The portion size on my "dinner" plate was very small! The dinner my wife ordered wound up being a soup based meal with rice! There was no mention of that on the menu! My dish had a ton of sauce on the plate. (More sauce than meat) It's not that their food doesn't taste good. It's the portion size for the money spent! So I decided to finally make a post regarding this restaurant. If you love sushi. This is the place to come. If you want your monies worth for the food you'll receive. This may not be your spot. That's why I only gave them three stars.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! We had been in the area enjoying the beautiful day and decided to stop in. Upon entering we were told we could sit anywhere and we're the only people dining in. The menu is quite extensive and they offer so many different styles of Asian dishes. We all decided we would share but each order something different. I finally settled on the Beef Rendang and wow was it mouthwatering. It seems like most of the sauces they make are in house and were all absolutely delicious. I highly suggest stopping in for a bite.

I've ordered the "make your own poke bowl" numerous times at the restaurant & they give you enough for 2 meals. Ordered it to go for the first time & the size of the meal was an appetizer size. $12 for a meal that didn't fill me up & I had to find something else to eat to fill me up. Really upsetting, especially with how expensive everything is now days. I guess I'll only be eating AT the restaurant to get an actual serving size; no more to-go dinner nights if I'm in the mood for good poke bowls.

Awesome lunch spot to hit w/ my bestie! Great prices! Prefer it over "Ninja" at the Promenade, hands down!!

This restaurant was a cute find for date night. It was small and cozy and packed for a Weekday night. Lots of takeout orders too which told us it would be good. I ordered the calamari, the Hawaiian roll and the Mexican roll. The food was delicious and the service was good.

My job was in a big UAB office building that did not have an active cafeteria, so they would have food trucks come serve us multiple times a month. Satay n Roll was definitely my favorite. I would usually get the Bagel Roll, and then pair it with either fried rice, fried dumplings, or crab angels, depending on my mood. Satay n Roll stays moving around, so I had not eaten from the truck since I left the Birmingham area. Luckily, I came into town this week and was able to track them down; they post a schedule on Facebook. I got the Bagel Roll, of course, and crab angels with a Diet Coke. It's a heavy meal, but yummy. The staff is also super nice. I would go on another adventure to track them down again!

After eating at the hospital all week it was a nice change. When I arrived outside there was a small line and the smell from the truck was delicious. I only ordered a couple of sides but their menu is very nice and the prices are very reasonable. The lady that took my order was friendly and the service was fast. I ordered the crab angels and fried dumplings. They were so good! The dumplings were crispy and delicious with the sweet chili sauce they were served with. The crab angels were crispy, creamy, and perfectly sweet with duck sauce. They were so good I forgot to take a picture. Thank you, Satay n Roll for making food that got my mom to eat. This meal is the only thing she's taken more than two bites of since she was admitted.

I think the waiter forgot about it because I had to so if it was still coming. When it did come, the soup looked like mostly water (see photos) and the salad was over drenched in dressing. I've never seen that much dressing in a salad my entire life. The meat wasn't hot but the fried rice really saved the day. It was salty, but I prefer mine that way. What we ordered: -Pork Tonkatsu Omurice: I was a bit nervous to try this but I'm so glad I did! The runny omelet is served atop a bed of fried rice and your choice of a sauce. I also ordered the pork tonkatsu but could've done without since the fried rice had chicken in it. I tried both of the sauces but my favorite was the curry. Quite a large serving. -Brown Sugar Bubble Milk/Milk Tea: incredible! When we got there, it definitely lived up to the aesthetic. The whole setup is really nice, very much so photo-worthy, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into the design! I was visiting from out of town and brought my mom and sister with me, so I was pretty excited for us. We were really hoping to sit in the honeycomb booths since that's what you always see on social media, but unfortunately they were blocked off when we arrived, which was a little disappointing. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it did take away from the experience we were expecting. The servic is where things started to fall short. Our waiter wasn't very attentive, and there were pretty long gaps between him checking on us. We found ourselves waiting a while for simple things, which made the experience feel a bit off. On a positive note, the food did come out pretty quickly, so I'll give them that. That said, the food itself just didn't really hit for me personally . It looked good, but flavor-wise it was kind of underwhelming. We also didn't receive the Cherry Blossom jelly that we asked for with my combo, our server just kind of forgot, and when we requested soy sauce, it took quite a while to get it. Those little things add up, especially when you're already not getting much attention from your server.

Where do I begin? I…read morehave lived in the Birmingham Metro area the majority of my life and love trying new places, so when my son spotted this place on a shopping trip to Publix and asked if we could go try it out I said yes (if he was a well-behaved boy at school lol). Luckily for us, he was today. It's location being over the parking deck is probably why I didn't notice it and I was nervous about how accessible it would be however there were two solid ways to get there either from the street or parking deck so that proved to be no issue at all. It has both indoor and outdoor seating with cute decor all over the inside. I've never been to Japan but one could imagine this gave its all to emulate the feel of a cool Japanese city restaurant. There's a cocktail bar on the right, sushi bar to the left, and good seating in the middle. Maybe large parties would be hard to seat upon reflection but I'm sure it's doable. The menus we received were EXTENSIVE. So many sushi and nigiri options were available it was almost overwhelming but they also gave us a paper selection for sushi that went into detail of the chef specials. But don't worry, they had other options including various soups, salads, appetizers (we got the spring rolls, YUM. My son devoured them), and hibachi style dishes. We decided to get the Udon with shrimp and veggies, Osaka roll, and Vestavia roll. Genuinely, you can taste the love and care. My son actually closed his eyes and sighed when he dived into the noodles dish and was enamored with the Vestavia roll (did I mention he's six?? Seriously, that reaction from a six year old means they're doing something right!). I also was beyond impressed with the flavors of it all. I wish I was more hungry so I could get more. Lastly, I want to touch on service. I, myself, am a bartender so service is a big thing for me. I have high expectations because I know how the job should be done. When I tell you these lovely people know how to make you feel at home, goodness. Every customer that came in was warmly greeted and if they were a regular it was like they were coming home. The lovely lady at the front (I want to say was maybe the manager?) was all smiles and running around helping and talking with staff and guests alike. She stopped by our table and chatted with my son and told us she was happy they had "new family members" (LOVE). Our server was phenomenal, even seeing my son was struggling with his chopsticks so he rigged up a pair to be more kid friendly which was great. We were sat facing the sushi bar so we were watching how much care and effort they were putting into each plate. It was a sight to see. This place clearly cares about its patrons from the moment they come in til the moment they leave. The love they put into every dish and interaction should be something you get everywhere. They've set a high bar and I'm happy we got to experience it. I cannot wait to go back. I'm already plotting what I'll try next!
