Great spot to donate not only for extra cash but for a good cause. Staff is always welcoming, haven't had an issue.

This business has changed more in the past year than any I've ever seen. They have a brand new building, furnishings and equipment, and have added a lot of new staff members. The donor fees have increased while the average "wait time" has decreased. They still struggle from time to time, getting donors processed, but they truly do their very best. I highly recommend going here for donating plasma. Everyone is very friendly and talk with you and make you feel comfortable and welcome. There's a nice seating area, large restroom areas, a drink machine, and snack machine which are really nice. If you have deep veins and wanna get sticked right, there's a lady named nicknamed Red who knows how to do it without hurting you. I've never had an issue with this place and I prefer it over CSL plasma. It's important to have seating areas because some of us have health issues or just wanna sit because it's comfortable or we're tired or sore from walking. read more

I have been donating plasma since I was in the U.S. Army Reserves (84-92). This place aggravates me beyond total recall. On more than one occasion and recent back-to-back instances, the person sticking the needle in my arm has looked away after placement and was not paying attention by talking to another employee while the needle was not taped down. read more

I have been coming here 4 months now off and on and really don't want to go back. My aunt died due to complications with TTP and it inspired me to donate as plasma is how people with that disease are treated. Almost every time that I go, they pull the wrong folder for another woman who looks nothing like me. One time I was already on a machine when I happened to see that the folder wasn't mine and my donation was then not used. My folder was missing completely another time. I asked to be notified when called and fonally after 2 weeks of no call and not being able to talk to the manager I had to go in myself. That was 2 weeks I could have donated. My last trip really angered me and was the last nail. Mistakes happened, but how it was handled.. I was stuck and my vein either rolled or was put in too far. My arm hurt and itched and was turning blue. The machine kept beeping.. during a blood return I noticed blood was running down my arm cuz it wasnt going into my vein. No one would come help me. I didnt want to get my other arm stuck as I only wanted one scar on one arm but they told me I had to have my blood returned or I could faint. The woman who did it Toni was a completely unprofessional. I asked her if she was going to restick me as I wanted to consent who stuck me. It usually takes me 43 mins to fonate and it took over 2 hours that day die to being neglected when the machine kept stopping until the guy next to me yelled when he saw the blood coming from my arm. Then she asked if I was always that dramatic. They let me bleed and blood run down my arm.. one worker cleaned me up. Then she made fun of me with another worker and I could hear then. I had a car show to do the next day and kinda didnt want to be bruised up. They should have figured out the stock wasnt good when the machine kept beeping before I bled all over and the vein was swollen. I'm lucky Omie cleaned me up and took care of me. Im the most kind and well mannered client with a universl blood type. They cater to drugies, most who show up high as a kite and those who want to make a difference and need a little extra cash, are treated like dirt. Machines are not wiped between use (kiosk). I have been coming here for about 10 months. Sometimes you wait a while to get the process completed, and sometimes it goes relatively quickly. I've been in and out within an hour, and other times it's taken almost two hours. Sometimes they're really busy and understaffed, and sometimes they're not busy at all with plenty of staff. But one thing that has always been a constant is the staff. While you have the rare occasion when you encounter someone having a bad day, for the most part everyone is friendly and caring and make you feel like they value your presence. Charisse is awesome. She's friendly, efficient, and SO good at her job. Her "sticks" are perfection. And Delissa is always so friendly and funny and interacts with everyone, making them feel welcome. I travel two hours there and back to donate plasma. And, as crazy as it seems, I enjoy going to the center and interacting with the employees. I have been paid over $4,000 so far, and my daughter uses plasma products, so it's a win/win for me. I highly recommend donating plasma at this center. read more

Very very slow it takes 1 hour 30min before get seen for tha 1st part of it.

I definitely liked this place at first, but by the time I left I was truly aggravated. Talecris is generally a clean place with safe procedures and nice workers. Being as it was my first time there, I was a new donor, so the procedure and everything else took longer than it normally would, approximately 2 or so hours. They only use equipment that comes out of new packages, nothing is reused. My visit started off fine but ended on a bad note. By the time all the testing was done with, I was actually excited to donate plasma. Except one problem: I failed at being able to donate plasma. My sister came as well and neither of us ended up donating. The new donor procedure was all responsibly handled and we both were going through registration fine and the physical stuff. But then her protein was too low so they sent her out, and me? Apparently I don't have veins! It took two hours for me at least to get everything done and then I went to the room to actually go donate plasma... that's where it got hairy. The "phlebotomists" in the room all seemed so unprofessional and oblivious to their jobs, at least that is the idea they put off for me to pick up. Three people who are supposedly certified to do this job couldn't find my veins. The first guy was nice, took forever, but literally while putting a pressure cuff on me, says, "I'm not good at this". First off, then why do you work here, and secondly, how does that make me feel better about you sticking me with a needle, or anything else that you're supposed to be able to do at this job if you can't correctly put on a pressure cuff. He seemed new, so many that was it, but he attempted to find my vein for a minute, couldn't, and then said he would grab someone else. That lady tried, couldn't find my vein, called another lady over who also couldn't find my vein, and then the first one says to the second lady, literally TWO feet away from me, "should we stick her with the needle so she gets paid" mumbled things about them not doing vein checks, had no idea what to say to me... then turned around and then just told me to go home basically. Didn't grab anyone else, didn't try more than 5 minutes. Just said go home. She told me to go to the front desk and tell them they couldn't find my vein... I did, and the only person up there was the second lady that also couldn't find my vein, to which she responded: "Uhhh... no, you don't need to tell me. You can just leave. Sorry." Like... okay so should I even attempt to come back or if I do will I just get a fast one pulled on me? I had an appointment scheduled but I don't even think I want to go. After all, if they aren't going to try harder or more than a few minutes after I spent my whole morning there, I don't see the point. Yes it is for a good cause, I have a friend who regularly needs plasma for medical reasons, so I felt I could help out and it would feel nice and I'd get compensated while doing something good, but how do I donate when the employees try only to the bare minimum? I'm still annoyed with the whole situation and my entire morning was wasted. read more

I was done with plenty of time to catch the bus, but thanks to the bumbling techs at this location not knowing if I was in their section or not, I had to wait a half hour to get released. This was unacceptable service from a location that already pushes it with me for techs who pause for minutes at a time to gossip and discuss their weekends, football games, and whatever else they can do to avoid performing the tasks that get people out the door quicker. read more
