At the lake you can sit and enjoy the view, go fishing or even kayaking. Lots of nature to hear and greenery to enjoy. You'll find everyone and anyone here. Enjoying a picnic, walking their dog, leisurely strolling, running and exercising or simply just hanging out. You'll even find firefighters here doing practice work. This park is often the place for many city and community events.

The playground was well-suited for a range of ages, with swings, a see-saw, and even a small climbing wall to keep them entertained. There was plenty of open grass for families to lay out picnic blankets, and a covered area that was bustling with what looked like a birthday party or community event. The park also has solid amenities like tennis courts, a volleyball area, and a basketball court for older kids and adults. I especially enjoyed the shaded walking paths, which offered a nice break from the sun. The one downside was the bathroom. It was in poor condition and definitely could use some upkeep. Parking was available but packed due to the nice weather, so we had to park a short walk away. JY review.

Decided to go Trout Fishing on Friday (5/16/25) afternoon around 2:00 PM. When we got to the Lake,…read morethere were 4 people at the fishing spot. We set up our gear and poles. It was kind of a gloomy day, so fish weren't biting as often. About 2 hours later, we had caught 3 Trouts each. Getting the next 2 took a while longer, as I caught mine an hour and a half later to get my limit of 5. Dunno what factors caused the fish not to bite that regularly, but it was definitely a very slow day/evening fishing on the shore. Caught a couple of big ones, though. Nice sized fish...

The space here is huge and there's lots to see and do. There's an area with a playground for kids which is camp themed, and there's also different types of sport courts. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained as well. There's also covered areas that you can rent which have basic grills that you can use for stuff like hotdogs and burgers. The water always seems pretty clean. I haven't swam in it but my siblings and kids have and it always seems fine. They also have boat rentals here which are really cool, and there's a few different types that you can rent. It's a little over $20 an hour but I think it's worth it for sure. It's a great lake and I'm sure we'll be back quite a few times this summer!

Terrific park in Renton, was looking for a quick morning walk on a chilly weekend in November and…read morefound this conveniently located next to Lake Washington, with beautiful views of the water and a walking/running trail along the edge of the lake. Parking is plentiful and free (though coming from NYC parking looks plentiful almost everywhere in the suburbs), in parking lots along the park driving route curving around the water. There are multiple facilities on the water and off. On and along the water--a boat docking marina, multiple docks, fishing pier, a sandy beach with roped-in swimming area, nature area with info placards describing the surroundings and recent history of the park, and a pier extension with gazebo over the water. On the park grounds--a small water recreational boat storage with canoes, playground, picnic areas with running water and BBQ pits, and aforementioned walking trails. As others have mentioned a fair number of Canada geese and ducks reside in the area so best to follow the advisements posted and NOT feed them unless you want more goose/duck poop than there already is on the park premises. Otherwise lovely park and I would come back for a stroll in warmer months!
