The shelter had a neutering/spaying promotion after the holidays for only $20. I also bought a microchip and six months worth of heart-worm prevention for only $43. All this would usually cost me around $200-$300 at my old vet. The staff kept asking me if I needed any additional help and email/call if I needed anything else. Going back soon to remove my pet's sutures for free.

Terrible experience…read more They do not answer the phones, their animals have been know to be ill after adopting, but they promise the animals are healthy. Dirty areas for animals, poop not cleaned, rotting food in some kennels at the locations they have the animals at. Their processing is absolutely terrible, I was going to adopt a cat they posted online about (it being popular) and they said they'd look for the right home for him. This was supposed to be fair but they decide to give it to a woman who works for them. Talk about loyalist/cliquey. Absolutely humiliating to send emails and follow ups for a cat they already knew someone on their team was going to adopt. At that point just say you're not letting him be adopted or "send your interest!" To an email they have automated replies to, not even an email disclosing to many families that won't be able to adopt him. The bigger issue when you go to their events is that they post the wrong information on the pet profiles of where an animal is, clearly nobody knew where it was and I wasted so much time going back and forth to locations the day the events were held at only to be told (after being told it was the other location the animal was at) that the animal was ADOPTED, but yeah you can "adopt another animal", you can't even meet the animals and see if they're compatible for you because adoptions are quick at these events and or are unorganized. There's too many animals from this organization at PetCo and Petsmart that don't get adopted because they're "not good" enough like "Elmer" - they don't get the adequate exposure or popularity. No wonder they refuse to take in lost pets and tell you to dump them back where you found them - "they don't have enough kennel space!" They would if they pushed these animals more like they did for a singular cat. They don't hand pick anyone for the rest of the animals and anyone could adopt them. But for a popular animal they do! Talk about morals. How do you know that the animal you let to a family isn't going to be abused or if it's the adequate household for them? There have been cases where fosters and random people at these events who adopt these animals and end up abusing them or killing them because there was no processing or background checks, just look it up if you don't believe me. But sure, give unnecessary privilege to a woman that already is in your inner circle and that cat that's going to be farmed for clout. Absolute greed and stupidity.

Very unprofessional and her attitude stank her aura was off .. I laughed it off but I will be complaining.. When my husband arrived we approached the desk the Caucasian woman never left her desk to attend to us as a customer.. this place is a nice facility with employees with attitudes.. they need training in knowing how to treat customers.. to me white customers where treated with priority . I'm a dog mom's now!! Thanks to the city of Fort Worth Animal Shelter!…read more My friend found and reported a stray husky to the animal control. She posted about the dog on her social media, so me and my husband were interested in. The animal control people said the dog will be at this shelter, we went immediately to check it out. It was very cleaned and a huge shelter. There were so many animals that are needing a home there. I walked through the shelter looking for the one my friend reported and were crying looking at these babies crying for help. If I could, I would take them all home with me. The dog we were there for unfortunately had not yet arrived at the shelter. Then, we came across my baby girl, Arroz, was jumping and crying. We just knew we had to take her home with us. She is only 2 and was disowned by her old owner when they moved to a different state so she was a stray on the street for who knows how long. She developed heart-worm because of that reason. But we're completely fine with it. I wanted to give this little girl a home matter what. I didn't know it was free to adopt animal from 1-6 years old from this shelter and if your adopted animals have health conditions, they will help cover them all! They have absolutely great service, they made it super quick and easy for us to take her home and after 3 days that she's home, they reached out and checked up on her! If you're considering adopting/getting a pet, please check them out! There are so many pets awaiting for adoption!

Being that we all have animals of our own, and the morbid nature of our job, we set to the task of trapping them on our own. we were able to capture three of the four kittens, but the mom and one kitten quickly saw the area was unsafe and moved on with the one kitten in tow. It's been about two weeks having them quarantined in our breakroom bathroom (uncertain of what they have, and what they could catch from deceased animals brought into our facility), stress and anxiety for these kittens is running high to the point that my wife and i decide to take one in and bare the costs, but that still leaves two that desperately need homes. over the past week not just I, but several people have reached out to this "Rescue" for some sort of assistance. I reached out to her every day since the weekend and each time was met with the same excuse, till at one point she hung up on my wife in the middle of a sentence. the problem is, if you're full or can't provide a service you're selling yourself as, you need to let the person know so as to not creat false hope. i do not believe she is trustworthy, and I do not believe she has any capacity to take care of any animal she claims to take in. We have offered to bring them by but are met with silence; I'm not even confident they are getting the medical attention or care they need when picked up either. far as I can tell, she could be just dropping pets off at a shelter. Do not waste your time with this one. seek out other volunteers with better representation and Reputation.
