About a year later we wanted to refinish our master bathroom. Got a bid from Banell Custom and asked them to present some ideas on some of the bathroom challenges. There are some larger windows that we didn't want to lose but wanted the shower in that space. Banell found a "Smart Window" that used a gas to fog when we wanted privacy. With a flip of a switch, we enjoy them clear and benefit from the wonderful natural light. They did outstanding work. So grateful to find a good and creative contractor!! Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Reither Construction. We hired them to finish our basement last…read morefall, paid 98% of our contracted price, and 9+ months later we still can't use our basement. We've dealt with multiple failed county inspections, including previously cited items that hadn't been corrected, ongoing electrical issues, active water intrusion around a window Reither removed and reinstalled, and major flooring problems. We even hired an independent flooring inspector who concluded that 100% of our LVP needs to be replaced because of inadequate floor prep and installation that didn't meet manufacturer requirements. Communication and project oversight were also extremely frustrating. Ryan was often difficult to connect with and frequently wasn't there overseeing the work. Subs would come to us with questions about what they were supposed to be doing, and we often felt like we were managing issues ourselves -- which defeated the purpose of hiring a GC and project manager. The project was never completed and we never even had a final walkthrough. We were also hit with unexpected additional charges of roughly 10% of our original contract with no change orders. When we disputed them, Ryan told us he would place a lien on our home. No lien was ever filed. At this point, we've had to hire lawyers just to try to get any of this resolved. We've also had multiple contractors decline to even take on the repairs because of the liability and unknowns, and we're now being quoted to essentially start the basement over. This has been an incredibly stressful and costly experience for our family and very far from the "luxury basement finishing" Reither advertises. We would never hire Reither again and would never recommend them to anyone.

The experience started out well but then the application and execution turned downward. We spent…read morean enormous amount of money (more than 100k) on the cabinets for our custom home. Not only were the cabinets not glazed anywhere near to the samples we picked from but there were so many measuring and fitment mistakes that cabinets had to be remade and re-glazed and measurement done incorrectly and doors swinging the wrong way, etc. I fully understand that the factory did not glaze the cabinets correctly but I didn't buy my cabinets from the factory. I bought them from CabinetsByCales and that's who I had to turn to. Now, the company did send all doors and drawer fronts to another company for re-glazing and the work was acceptable to us we still sit without several cabinet doors, crown molding missing etc months later. The 'near' end product is beautiful and our cabinets are stunning but the process could certainly have been smoother. It could be that our completely custom job was simply too much for them and I can't in good conscience recommend them.

Anyway, me and The Hubs visited their Kitchen and Bath Showroom just a little over a month ago since we needed to replace some kitchen and bathroom faucets. There are many faucets on display and many more in their catalogs to choose from. Peggy Johnson was very helpful and great to work with. In a nutshell, we found some great looking faucets and replaced the main kitchen sink faucet, beverage dispenser next to the sink, and a bar sink faucet (all from the same collection so they match). We also found a nice replacement faucet for our powder room sink. It's nice to be able to see and feel these items ahead of time to know what you're getting. If you're looking for fixtures a step (or two) nicer than what you might find at the big box stores, this place is a great option. The items we chose took less than three weeks to come in. Since the other side of their business is plumbing and heating supply/distribution, they work with many local (and independent) plumbers. Peggy was able to give me a few names and phone numbers for potential installment. All went well. Kudos!
