Maybe it's just a matter of letting them get to know that you're sane, and don't mean any harm, over time. I wish they had more options for fun classes and events! It's probably just slow because of covid.

Overall,…read moreAkron has an absolutely incredible public library system, and I've definitely been to branches that skeeve me out more than Firestone Park ever could. I also wonder what this branch has seen because the cop manning the branch always has this look of suspicion on his face. I'm glad the librarians have protection, but I've never seen a look of such disdain from someone eating an English muffin. Akron Public Libraries has a great online portal and their own app, so checking out books is such a convenience. Firestone Park might not a ton of books that pertain to my interests, but it's so easy to get one delivered to them. Also I've been out of ink toner since 2016 so printing services there are also something I'm grateful to have access to. I can't say enough good things about the library.

They patiently ask questions until they have found the closest answer to the information you have requested. They have amazing activities for the youth, even an animal show where we can touch the animals!! I even got a free T-shirt in a reading contest and so did my youth!
