It's disgusting to look at poop! Mary Ellen spends money on 3 security guards at one time in her Library, but won't take care of the beautiful library overlooking Sippo. She won't give anyone a guest pass. It's OUR library Mary Ellen! I have had my computer go down and I have my library card info in the computer that went down so I can't move to another one. I see residents come in and have the internet, they just need a print out, or a fax or they don't live here and don't need a card, just a copy of something. What is the problem with letting Stark County residents NOT use their computers they paid for Also, i have asked and asked and asked for coupons. The Sunday paper has coupons to use at the store.( It's great that Mary Ellen and the Stark Board of Trustees Steven Pittman don't need coupons.) But alot of us do. I have left numerous messages for Steven Pittman to call me regarding above info, but he never calls! Mary Ellen never has any coupons at the Market st. library or at the Sippo library. Who pays for the Sunday paper? Can I get the coupons? The last time i went into Sippo, the employee was eating and talking with her mouth full. Can we eat in there now? I had just eaten a pizza in the car before I came in. Or is that just for the Sippo employees?

The artist featured was Nancy? The paintings were colorful and bright. Our 1 yr old grandson especially liked an aquatic theme painting. Many of the paintings have a price tag and are for sale. The Children's play area was a little cramped but offered many choices. Felt a little enclosed by massive stacks but still a nice area. book selection for toddlers was very good.

They also have a notary service, which was very convenient for me when I needed something notarized in a pinch. The only slight issue is the parking.....the lot is small and fills up fast, so chances are you may have to park across the street. But that is such a minor detail. Everything else about this library is top notch!

Since the library was housed in the school, the library was only open during school hours and closed during the Former Middle School summer months. In 1937 the Library Board voted to keep the library open all summer. Library hours were extended into the evening hours in the 1940's, and in the 1950's to include Saturday's. The first children's hour was held in 1937, and is still a tradition we continue to this day. In 1964 a bond issue funded the building of the current library, located at 700 Lincoln Avenue. The library housed 54,000 volumes in 1969 when the building was dedicated.

My four year old and I enjoyed the little train and touring the historic home. The docents were very friendly and knowledgeable. I had no idea Hoover had a plant in the UK- the volunteer told us that people in England still call their vacuums "Hoovers". Oddly enough, I was listening to an audiobook after we left, and the British author referenced the Hoover in the next chapter that very day. Weird, right? The grounds and gardens here are quite lovely. We walked back to the event space where a lecturer was speaking about the history of North Canton. It was quite warm inside that space, so we quickly left, but my son found the playground and all was good in the world.

As far as the inside of the library it's not large but is big enough for the area. They have around 12 to 15 computers to do research on and plenty of movies and music to browse through. The staff is really nice and they are open until 8 which is nice.

I can always find books and movies, and I've heard great feedback on the tools provided in the Maker Space. I love the magazine archives, and I've attended events in the auditorium there. Parking is easy in the garage on High St with one hour free if you pick up a validation slip at the security desk.
