They were slow to provide the preliminary title report to my lender, so the appraisal order was delayed. They included the incorrect legal description in the title report they asked me to sign (even after the mistake had been caught by my excellent real estate agent in the preliminary report.) They acted as if we were making it up that it was wrong, and as if we were imposing upon them when we questioned it. Then, when they finally did correct the legal description, their "corrected" transcription of the surveyor's report was full of typographical errors, such as "Wast", "othe" and "Sourtherly". In addition, they asked us to sign the wrong version of a different form. I mean, this is an expensive purchase, people! You want to get it right! I don't want to have to deal with a claim that I don't have clear title to the driveway and garage! Isn't that what a title company is supposed to be good for?

If want to continue writing a review about the time I stayed there and the horrible management, I had to write a book. The first day I rented the house I saw a big lizard in the bathroom. Roaches, lizards, mold, a very old heater, a very old oven, a super old water heater with a very loud noise that you can't sleep at night. The heater wasn't working 7 times because they didn't want to spend money purchasing a new heater. I had to use the kitchen oven to warm the house. By the time they fixed the heater, winter was over. By the way, I ended up paying the high gas bill because turning on the oven to warm the house. They didn't give my $1400 deposit back.

In my 40 years of running an agency, I have never had a vendor charge my customer directly. At this point I am not sure I will continue working with them since their attitude on this major break in client-vendor relationship was: We tried to bill your card and since it didn't go through we billed your customer.
