I had sprained my back in 2004 and had a car accident in 2006, and both caused major problems with my back. I tried going to a chiropractor but it was great only for temporary relief. After being referred, I went to Vivian a year and half ago, and after 2 treatments, I lost the pain I had had for years. I didn't even really believe in acupuncture because it didnt make sense to me, but after her treatments, I swear by it. I just had some pain recently (which isnt bad after being pain free for so long) and just went back to her. I have another treatment scheduled and I am sure that I will be back to normal after that. It was only later that I found out she is an acupuncturist, and I loved her so much, I decided to give her a try. I could immediately tell that she's different from all of the previous acupuncturists I have seen. Her new patient form was not some BS 1-2 page condensed medical history. Shin-Di really gets into it. Most importantly, she listens. I'm not obese, but I do stand to lose a few pounds. Instead of brushing me off and giving me the standard 'you don't need to lose any weight' comment, she took her time to explain realistic expectations, listened to my issues, and my ultimate goals.
