Solid place for a meal especially when you are a little pressed for time. A fun, casual atmosphere that looks like it would be louder than it actually is. Lots of options to add to your bowl and all very tasty. Service was prompt and food came out not long after ordered.

Surprisingly, we grabbed a table for 3 right away after OU's first home game. The restaurant was packed by the time we left. We started with the chicken wings - unfortunately, they were undercooked. Skin was soft and the meat was undercooked - our server had them removed from the bill. However I hope they can improve the cooking as they could be really good. Our orders included the chasu-don fried rice, garlic ramen, and tonkatsu ramen... plus an order of takoyaki. The rice is insanely delicious! Comes in a cast iron skillet, so you get some crispy bits - just a total flavor bomb. My garlic ramen was very good - the broth is a treat on its own. Add the perfectly cooked egg and other goodies, and it's a party in a bowl, too. My wife loves her tonkatsu ramen, which she adds extra spice. Service was good, and I would give it 5 stars, but the chicken wings were a huge disappointment. We will be back for sure - and maybe the wings will be crispy and cooked!

They emailed us about the event, and we purchased the tickets online.

Last year we did the event with Sakura Ramen at the Edmond location and we loved it. So this year when we got the email about this event, we signed up for it immediately. Once you sign up you get the event ticket through email and we then save it to your phone. On the day of the event, we arrived and there was a line outside the door. Once we got online, this guy manning the door comes over to check on your ticket and then gave us another event ticket to get in the door. We didn't wait that long, it was maybe 10 mins, which wasn't too bad. Inside was packed and busy. Once seated they show us the menu for the event. Our tickets already paid for 2 ramen so we told our servers we wanted the Itadaki Tonkatsu and the Itadaki Miso ramens, and then added the DX Topping on one. In just 2-3 minutes, they set the bowl of Miso ramen at our table. My husband tried it and said it was not hot. I tried it and indeed it was lukewarm. We told our server and they took it away. We waited for a little over 5 mins and they brought the Tonkatsu, which was hot and very good. The extra toppings is worth the extra money. The soft-boiled egg was perfection. My husband and I were sharing the one ramen we had so far. Another 5 mins and the server came by and asked if this one was hotter, and we were like we never got the Miso one yet. So she went to check. Maybe 2 mins later, they finally came with the Miso ramen. This time it was piping hot and delicious. My husband loved and thoroughly enjoyed it. When we checked out we asked why the first Miso ramen was lukewarm, wondering what happened. It can't be a coincidence that it was "ready" so in advance in comparison to the other bowl? The server shrugged and didn't know, said it came straight from the pot. Really? Could've used some honesty here. Overall, we enjoyed the food. Will probably still sign up for the next event if there is another one. I liked the Sakura Ramen event better, but my husband liked this one as their soup base was thicker. It's a personal preference I guess.

Stopped by here to meet our son near OU for lunch. Enjoyed the potstickers, the matcha mojito, and the ninniku tonkotsu ramen with a chili bomb. Nice flavors, Coll ambience, and friendly staff.

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 5/5 Got Takoyaki for an appetizer. It came with 5 balls. One of better ones I've tried. It came nice and hot. Be careful to not just eat the whole thing in one bite or you may burn yourself. Breading was light and there was enough octopus instead. Maybe could use a bit more seasoning, but was pleasantly surprised. Coming from the DC area, I really wasn't expecting much. Tonkotsu ramen was rich. Wished it has more meat and toppings. But noodles were cooked perfectly and the egg was soft boiled and light in seasoning. Came away with a full belly. Had the green tea mochi ice cream too. It's a bit expensive $2.50 for one mochi but you can tell it's homemade and it tasted great. Thought the pricing was mostly appropriate, ramen was priced well. Would have liked the server to check on us a little more. But otherwise a pleasant experience.

Nice Norman location of Tamashii that had a few new menu items. The egg fried ice is always great. The ramen I got had a tad bit more cabbage but was overall flavorful. The green melon soda drink was excellent. Great service and large wooden ancient Japanese interior with many seats/tables, anime playing on TVs all around and cool Japanese decorations. This Norman location also has an area that sells snacks and drinks and toys. Some cool plastic models from popular anime also are viewable. Overall recommended!

Our second visit was even better than the first! We were greeted kindly and seated quickly. Currently my son's most favorite and requested spot for dinner. SO GOOD.

First time trying out this location in Norman. It didn't disappoint! We had a great server (Sebastian) and he gave some wonderful recommendations. We arrived much later (8PM) for dinner than I normally would and the place was crowded & loud. We waited ~10 minutes before we were seated. But our daughter decided this is where we were going to eat so who am I to argue! The Edamame will be a pass, less than impressed! Maybe if I get the spicy version but the one my wife chose, not so much! I think the Garlic Fried Rice w/Karaage Chicken was the hit of the night! Great flavors - my wife's choice. I selected the Spicy Miso Ramen and it was great! My daughter chose the Tonkotsu Ramen she says it's her favorite! Overall great meal but lucky for me there's a Tamashii located in Edmond so it's on my list to visit!

The staff was originally going to seat me in a table in the center of the room but they readily accommodated my request to sit at a booth instead. Wait staff was friendly. The food itself wasn't bad but it was just a tad bit too rich and too fatty in taste (not a bad thing for some it just was a bit heavy for me today)

We came here while visiting OKC and were not disappointed! Our waitress was wonderful and very helpful because we weren't sure what to order. We ended up ordering a ramen bowl and a rice bowl to share and both were delicious. We also got the octopus balls as an appetizer and it was good. It's a very nice restaurant and we ate out in the front porch area because it was such a nice day. So glad we did! Wish we lived close enough to go again.

Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Our waitress asked if it was our first visit (it was), and then talked us through the menu, how to order and what her recommendations were. We got the Ninniku Tonkotsu Ramen (heavy on the garlic). It was AMAZING!! Great for a casual lunch or date night too. We will definitely be back!

The pricing on the huge window outside is not accurate! It's about $2-3 more on the menu inside! We ordered: Potstickers: pork- was juicy and hot. Pan fried bao: a little bland. There's was nothing "wow" about it. Chicken stir fried noodle: it looked great. Great color, decent amount of toppings. Noodle had a good chew. I think we're missing all the salt though. Was bland. No flavor. Singapore noodle: NO. The noodles were overcooked and soggy/saucy. Also lacking flavor and salt. The shrimp was really tough and hard. Overcooked or very not fresh. Place was a little dark and dreary.

They're handmade, fresh, and chewy, all good things you want in a noodle. But I do think they have a little more to improve on as far as flavor goes. I got the Xian beef hot oil noodles and while the chilli oil was good, the dish was overall pretty underwhelming. It not only needed more meat on the plate, but definitely more flavor in the sauce. Also got some shaved noodle soup - and the soup was pretty good! Little salty but delicious. Their curry fried rice was a little disappointing - the rice was kinda mushy and if its anything fried rice shouldn't be, it's mushy. Also got the pork belly burger for my hubby and that was also very underwhelming. Overall, noodles itself were really good. But the dishes were underseasoned and lacked flavor. Wish we loved this place more after all the rave reviews!

I was sad to see the menu had some many delicious sounding items crossed off, but they still offered a good selection of food. We had the inkfire ramen and dragon fire ramen, both similar broths but the dragon fire packs a bit of heat! My favorite dish was the takoyaki, and they come out incredibly hot and fresh that you have to give it several minutes to cool down. Service was super friendly, and considering there was only one server that night, the service was surprisingly quick! It wasn't busy, but there were still a good number of parties. Had the karrage oyakodon, and it was a solid amount of food, with the chicken staying crispy. The taste was good enough, but it definitely needed more flavor/salt. The ramen is nice and customizable, but the seafood one was a bit salty; however, the spicy miso had the spice and flavor. The reason this place gets a 4 star, though, instead of a 3 for its mostly above-average food is because of the service. To date, one of the nicest servers I can recall, as she was very energetic, apologetic, etc. everything you'd want a server to do she did. It's more of a place to come hang out than to enjoy the food, as the interior was also nicely decorated, making it feel a bit cozy, but I'm not complaining much. Thats about it.

I ordered the Hawaii Roll, which is described on the menu as "spicy kani, mango, shrimp, avocado, in soy paper." The photos online and on Yelp also show the roll wrapped in pink soy paper. However, when I got home, my roll looked completely different and was wrapped in green lettuce instead. I honestly thought I received the wrong order. When I called the restaurant, the employee immediately knew who I was and apologized, saying they ran out of soy paper and substituted lettuce without informing me beforehand. She also claimed it was "the exact same thing," but soy paper and lettuce are clearly not the same ingredient. They have completely different texture, taste, and presentation. I understand restaurants can run out of ingredients, but customers should absolutely be told before substitutions are made -- especially when the menu specifically advertises soy paper and the dish ends up looking completely different from the photos online.
