    Garlic ramen
    Audrey S.

This place is great, theres parking on the street that you have to pay for. The ramen is delicious. I would really recommend their garlic fried rice. We came in as a group of 6 and it took us about 20 min to get seated. Service was great.

Tamashii is a hip spot in Midtown. It has a cool atmosphere with plenty of seating for groups. I enjoyed the dimly lit interior with various anime playing from projectors. I came with a large group to eat, but I could see myself coming just for drinks as well. They had various types of sake, Japanese beer and cocktails. The food menu has ramen classics and other Japanese items such as bao and Takoyaki. I tried some edamame and it was seasoned perfectly and had a hint of sweetness from whatever sauce was on it. I ordered the curry ramen and was happy with how it came out. The cheese was a nice and unique touch to give it a lot more depth and creaminess. The diced chasu was also plentiful, there was a lot! I enjoyed the curry broth too as Japanese curry anything is one of my favorite comfort foods.

Cute little hipster ramen bar in OKC. For OKC I was impressed. Now, this is coming from someone that has been to Tokyo. They had an amazing selection of sake and the customer service was spot on. The food probably would have gotten 3.5 stars. I had the Tonkatsu with a spice bomb. The flavor of the ramen was good except the smell had hints of a farm raised unhappy pig. You know the smell, a little gamey, a little funky, kind of like "out of doors." It still tasted pretty good and the pork definitely didn't taste like it smelled, it was better. There definitely could have been more Chashu and it was missing a few ingredients like nori. The egg, however, was cooked to perfection. I'd go back because overall it was good, but just be prepared for the funky soup...

After a long flight, I wanted to try my favorite comfort food in the city: ramen! The wait was estimated to be an hour for my party of 3, but it turned out to be about 20-25 minutes. The staff were welcoming and answered any questions we had. The food itself was wonderful, the ramen offered a smoky/peppery taste from the broth. The noodles were springy and a bit more firm than my likely, but overall a good ramen. The sides were great too. I recommend visiting Tamashii ramen, great food at an affordable price!

My order was wrong and not very good because of it. I'm not a big ramen person to begin with , but my son and daughter in law love it. Of course their place they used to go in Las Vegas they liked better and I have to agree. I ordered the Spicy Ramen and they gave me the Miso soup , not the broth. It was too sweet and thick and took away from the jalapenos and even when I put the Choo Choo Kara in it which was Level 2 it just didn't do it. My son even order a side of Spicy Pork which I added a little too and the sweet corn soup was just too overpowering. We live in Mustang , so I wasn't going to drive all the way back to get it corrected of course. My son got the Spicy Miso Ramen and it was essentially the same as mine except for no jalapenos. My daughter in law got the Ninniku Tonkotsu , which I didn't get to try since she didn't get off of work till late. I had thought about getting that one instead of the Spicy Ramen. We also got an order of Karaage Chicken with Lemon and Golden Sauce. It was pretty good. I wanted 2 of the Chicken Thigh Skewers that was on the menu , but they said they no longer sell those. I would have rather had those than the Karaage Chicken. The cashier seemed to be new and maybe that's why my order got messed up. I did get a 10% Military Discount that she had to call a Manager over to give me. It was still $60.00 and my son and daughter in law both said it's not as good as our place in Las Vegas , but they haven't found a better ramen place to go to yet. They also said they haven't found a really good Chinese place yet , but found a good Thai place.

Swung by to pick up rammen to go. Packaging that kind of entree is challenging so we had low expectations. We couldn't have been more wrong. First of all, the packaging. The rammen travels beautifully. It was a fantastic surprise. We had some karaage, gyoza, spicy miso ramen and the curry rammen. Everything is delicious and flavorful.

The food was really good! We got the Miso Butter Corn Ramen! Added an egg to it, which was great! Our server Rene was great and in a timely manner! The ambiance was nice, the new remodel has turned up the dining experience!

This is my daughter's go to restaurant when she comes home. I've now visited 3 of their locations and each time I get the same great experience! The food is always delicious and service is great.

    NINNIKU TONKOTSU
    Mai S.

Good ingredients and presentation. It really wants to be legit and the ramen is really close. (We lived in Japan so I consider myself an expert ) The takoyaki was perfect - seasoned batter and double the normal amount of Octopus. Total winner. We got Niniku Tonkotsu as our ramen with kikurage and an extra egg. The soup and all the ingredients, except the noodles and chashu, were excellent. The noodles weren't al dente (too hard) and the chashu was a weird texture because of how thick the cut was, almost jammy inside. The eggs were STELLAR. In the US you normally get cold eggs that just get thrown in your soup. Not here. Sooo good. Our waitress was great and very kind. We sat on the patio which was blessedly cooled. I'd eat here again if I were in the area

We stopped by here after visiting the University of Oklahoma. It was delicious! Our waitress Brittany was very sweet and it was great to chat with her about her experience attending OU. Turns out we were in the same sorority (obviously different years). The restaurant was clean and quiet. It had a nice bar and the decor was well done. The serving sizes were good! We didn't finish all of our food. We had the left overs and it was still delicious!

    MISO BUTTER CORN RAMEN

I was passing through the area and my friend recommended this ramen spot. The place was a little dark so it was hard to see and talk to my friend sometimes even though we came early afternoon. However we really enjoyed the ramen, I had the butter corn miso ramen and it was really good. I love how much corn they had in there and the pork was really good. Overall, a really good ramen spot to come with your friends, there are many options other than ramen!

Very nice. Will return. ........... Great service too. .............. I loved the Ramen and atmosphere there. Can't wait for the new one to open up on north side okc . Very reasonable pricing too...............................

Traveled to OKC for our 1 year wedding anniversary to enjoy some Tamashii. As always, the staff are polite and helpful, the food is tasty, the fried rice is still a must. The ambiance at this location and Norman are different vibes, check out both! Different vibes but not in a bad way, you just definitely want to see both. 10/10 as always-- delish!

The Espresso Natini was perfect 5/5: velvety, smooth, and an excellent mocktail. The Tuna Crispy Rice was another 5/5, with crispy yet soft rice and glazed tuna that added just the right touch of sweetness. The Foie Gras was rich, buttery, crispy, and topped with a sweet sauce. Absolutely delicious. 5/5 The biggest surprise was the salmon nigiri. It was the first time I tasted the buttery fat content. I'm new to sashimi! 5/5 The Tamago was a solid 4.5/5 with great texture and sweetness, though it could have used more rice and been served hotter. The Shogun was my lowest-rated dish at 3.5/5. Creative and refreshing, but too wet from the cucumber. The Smokin' Salmon Aburi was good, but had too many competing flavors. The most interesting item was the Baked King of Crab. I wasn't impressed at first, but after deconstructing it and eating the components separately, I discovered multiple types of crab, including a crab leg. That turned it into a 5/5.

To share we got the crunchy rice tuna and the blossom roll with a mix of the fish options (like a rainbow roll). The crunchy rice tuna has such a nice combination of textures with a little crunch from the rice and creaminess from the avocado and fish. The roll was delicious. Fresh fish, the rice in the roll was just as it should be-not too mushy (a problem I find with a lot of sushi places I've tried in Oklahoma) or too firm. For myself I got the sashimi tasting which was an absolutely delicious assortment of seafood. All of the pieces were well seasoned and tasted fresh. My husband got the fried chicken and sukiyaki. He was very pleased with both. As a bonus I got a cheesecake because we were celebrating my birthday and they gave us each a shot. I appreciate that they gave me a non-alcoholic shot since I don't drink alcohol. Overall the food was fantastic and the service was great but it comes with a corresponding price tag. Was it worth it? In my opinion, yes, most definitely. I will say though that if you don't care for seafood there are options for you, but you likely won't appreciate this place nearly as much as someone who does.

One of our friends ordered the sushi set as his entree, which comes with 5 pieces of nigiri and a sushi roll. He only got the nigiri (salmon, regular tuna, mackerel, and 2 tamago nigiri). When we brought it to one of the servers attention, she told us it was an either/or option. After talking with other friends, they told us they received both, and the nigiri was higher quality, like toro. Three of our friends ordered the pork katsu. One of the katsus was brought out early and the other two took some time. After the other two katsus came out, it was noticeable that the first one was probably refried, which made us think it was old and they didn't want to waste it. We also learned that our other friends said that when they went, the server told them that if there was anything they liked, they could ask for more to be brought to the table. Our server did not tell us this. And the sad part is that they actually took some dishes away from the buffet and didn't refill it, which was the salmon sashimi. Overall, I feel like the experience was disappointing and the advertising was misleading. There wasn't much fresh fish available, as one might think. Sounds like service isn't equal and great across the board. Some friends enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet, some other friends had the same experience we did.

We've had a few ups and downs with service, but nothing dramatic--just the usual bumps that come with today's restaurant world. Honestly, the whole industry feels like it's running on caffeine and good intentions, and we're here for it. No stars deducted. Best date night menu option that won't break the bank is the sushi for two since it's one of the more budget friendly sushi menu options. When the sushi craving hits, this spot is definitely on our shortlist. The hanging wish cards, the wood accents, the little booth seating areas, even the lighting all work together. It is one of those places where you catch yourself looking around instead of just staring at your phone while you wait for food. Now the important part. The ramen. This was not some sad, watered down airport food court attempt at ramen. The broth was rich without being overwhelming, the noodles had the right bite, and everything in the bowl actually tasted like it belonged there. The pork was tender, the egg was perfect, and yes, I am now the kind of person who notices if an egg is done right. Even the little details were on point. The ramen was not good or tasty to us, so we didn't order it again this time. My notes for last time was that the ramen was flavorless, and watery. My favorite is the shrimp. My girlfriends favorite is also the shrimp. Smashed Cucumber 7/10 - was not smashed like in photo. That's OK. Sliced cucumber with a chili vinaigrette. Fresh but a bit spicy. Takoyaki 5/10 - not the best we've had but we are picky. Good for people who are trying Takoyaki for the first time. Nice filling but lame flavor. Chicken Wings (KBBQ) 5/10 - 6 wings, half flats half drum. Tasty, but wing quality is just OK. Tangy KBBQ flavor. Medium crispness. Pan-Fried Gyoza 8/10 - yummy ! Not crispy on bottom but it was still pretty good. Pork inside is juicy and tender. Very cool presentation. We liked the variety of things we ordered this time, but could've done without the wings and extra Takoyaki, as the honeycomb platter comes with 2 balls. We sat upstairs in the honeycomb booths this time. Felt private enough but the acoustics made me feel like everyone could hear everything. Bright and quiet enough for a midday lunch today.
