The atmosphere was really nice, welcoming, and friendly! The staff was kind, and the service was great from start to finish. My husband and I ordered the spicy miso ramen and dumplings. Everything tasted fresh, and I personally really enjoyed my meal. The portions were generous too The only thing my husband mentioned was that the broth wasn't very flavorful for his taste. If you prefer a richer, stronger broth, you may want to ask for extra seasoning or a more flavorful broth option. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. I'd definitely come back and try it again!

Green chili Ramen

This is the best Ramen I have ever had hands down. THE broth is delicious I had the fried beef Ramen w green chilis, scallops egg, noodles I had hot tea and honey .The check in process was a little crazy people were pouring in and no room to wait .We were directed to a small space to wait but we had to keep checking about our table to make sure we were not forgotten. The bartender was so nice but was having to make all drinks for this whole restaurant and take orders for food at the bar .In my onion needed more help . But all in all I would go back for the Ramen.

This is a really nice place with 2 bar areas. The entrance is small and there didn't seem to be a sign saying Goro Ramen. You enter through the patio which was nice. However, expect a little wait as they are popular. Sat at the far bar. The bartender was very busy making drinks and trying to keep up with patrons at the bar. He did a really good job and didn't seem stressed at all. The food was fantastic. Started with Pork Belly Nikuman which was so light and delicious. Then I had the Green Chili Ramen. It had some good spice to it and you can add additional spice in the form of a Sukio green chili bomb. It was delicious with green onions, a soft boiled egg, crispy pork belly, a roasted tomato, and bean sprouts. Highly recommend for a date night or a get together with friends.

Gorō Ramen was excellent! We were able to be seated straight away on a Saturday night. Our server was Alex and she was amazing; super attentive with a great attitude. We got both the Coconut Shrimp and the Pork Belly Nikumans and they were delicious. The coconut shrimp is an absolute must order. For our main course we got the spicy miso ramen and the chilled ramen. I actually ended up loving the chilled ramen more than i had expected, the spices and finishings all blend together so well and the cold made it all the more interesting. The eggs were absolutely perfect in the spicy ramen (if i could go back i might've added on another). We got the black sesame ice cream and it was absolutely delightful, the texture was especially pleasing. Would visit again!!

YASAI

Easily the best ramen I've had in any Oklahoma metro area. Tonight I went for the yasai vegan bowl with extra tofu and a chili bomb, and the classic Tori paitan with chili bomb. Vegan ramen is hard to impress me with, but this place nails it. It doesn't hide the fact that it's fully vegan. It embraces the umami mushrooms, sweet and acidic tomatoes, and aromatic onions and shallots while also still having a great fattiness to the broth. I can always tell when my bowl is from Goro because of the craftsmanship and flavors. It feels different and refreshing from all other places that serve ramen.  Also failed to include a photo of the Japanese whiskey highball! Goro has one of the only places with a machine to make these high balls with carbonation equivalent to champagne. Every drink, every appetizer, and every dish I've had I've loved. It's always a joy to come back whenever I'm in town!

The spicy ramen is good. The noodles are harder and chewy. The corn is well done. Green onion thin. The broth tasted like pork broth with chilis and had a spice level of 5 out of 10. The mushrooms were nice. The chicken meatballs are very soft and had alot of flavor. I liked it. A

The food was absolutely amazing. I had spicy miso. My daughter had regular. My boyfriend had spicy miso with pork. We also have the brussels sprouts for an appetizer, super yummy. our weight staff was amazing. After we ate all that we could our waiter, took our Ramen to the back and put it into containers for us. And we went on a day when it was a great temperature so they had the outdoors open and the atmosphere was a very pleasant experience.

The best ramen in okc. I could eat here everyday and never get tired of it, they never disappoint!!

Food was flavorful, also tried the battleship curry, sooo good. The service was great, the dim lighting setting a moody atmosphere.

My experience at Goro was nothing short of amazing. The service was prompt and attentive, the ambiance was relaxing and pleasant, and the food was great! I tried their special Birria ramen, and I loved the flavors and taste. It was an interesting fusion dish with unique flavors that I've never tasted before. Some say the food is on the pricier side but when it comes to portions and quality I believe it's worth the price. They're also open later than most restaurants, so if you're out late and want a hearty bite, Goro is the place to go! And, be on the lookout for their monthly ramen specials that are only available on Mondays!

The food is not up to par in my opinion when comparing to Tamashi or Tatsumaki. Service was fine and the decor was nice. Just a let down since we have experienced the other two places that we like much better.

I always sit at the bar, and the service is excellent! We usually see Sam or Raul, and both are fantastic. The food is delicious; I get the battleship curry, and my husband orders spicy miso and, of course, chicken karagge with spicy mayo. The atmosphere is very lowkey, and the music isn't too loud.

Ask the Community - Gorō Ramen

Are they still serving the yakitori?

Hey Katie! We are unfortunately not offering the yakitori items at this time because we brought back our nikuman (steamed buns) due to high demand and are using that cooking station for these. We hope to bring back some yakitori items as specials in…

Are they open for dine-in?

No. Takeout only - last day of service is 8/31 before they move to the Paseo.

Anyone know if it is possible to call ahead for a reservation?

It's a first come first serve restaurant! :)

Does anyone have an approximation of how long the wait would be at 6:30pm on a Saturday?

It varies, typically it is around thirty to forty-five minutes.

The Espresso Natini was perfect 5/5: velvety, smooth, and an excellent mocktail. The Tuna Crispy Rice was another 5/5, with crispy yet soft rice and glazed tuna that added just the right touch of sweetness. The Foie Gras was rich, buttery, crispy, and topped with a sweet sauce. Absolutely delicious. 5/5 The biggest surprise was the salmon nigiri. It was the first time I tasted the buttery fat content. I'm new to sashimi! 5/5 The Tamago was a solid 4.5/5 with great texture and sweetness, though it could have used more rice and been served hotter. The Shogun was my lowest-rated dish at 3.5/5. Creative and refreshing, but too wet from the cucumber. The Smokin' Salmon Aburi was good, but had too many competing flavors. The most interesting item was the Baked King of Crab. I wasn't impressed at first, but after deconstructing it and eating the components separately, I discovered multiple types of crab, including a crab leg. That turned it into a 5/5.

One of our friends ordered the sushi set as his entree, which comes with 5 pieces of nigiri and a sushi roll. He only got the nigiri (salmon, regular tuna, mackerel, and 2 tamago nigiri). When we brought it to one of the servers attention, she told us it was an either/or option. After talking with other friends, they told us they received both, and the nigiri was higher quality, like toro. Three of our friends ordered the pork katsu. One of the katsus was brought out early and the other two took some time. After the other two katsus came out, it was noticeable that the first one was probably refried, which made us think it was old and they didn't want to waste it. We also learned that our other friends said that when they went, the server told them that if there was anything they liked, they could ask for more to be brought to the table. Our server did not tell us this. And the sad part is that they actually took some dishes away from the buffet and didn't refill it, which was the salmon sashimi. Overall, I feel like the experience was disappointing and the advertising was misleading. There wasn't much fresh fish available, as one might think. Sounds like service isn't equal and great across the board. Some friends enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet, some other friends had the same experience we did.

This location is the cutest of them all. It's got that cozy Japanese tea house vibe that totally nails the new standard aesthetic for Japanese dine-in. You walk in and immediately feel like you've made a good Friday or Saturday night life choice, lol. The food is classic Volcano Sushi goodness. Always fresh + tasty, and consistently satisfying. We've had a few ups and downs with service, but nothing dramatic--just the usual bumps that come with today's restaurant world. Honestly, the whole industry feels like it's running on caffeine and good intentions, and we're here for it. No stars deducted. Best date night menu option that won't break the bank is the sushi for two since it's one of the more budget friendly sushi menu options. When the sushi craving hits, this spot is definitely on our shortlist. The hanging wish cards, the wood accents, the little booth seating areas, even the lighting all work together. It is one of those places where you catch yourself looking around instead of just staring at your phone while you wait for food. Now the important part. The ramen. This was not some sad, watered down airport food court attempt at ramen. The broth was rich without being overwhelming, the noodles had the right bite, and everything in the bowl actually tasted like it belonged there. The pork was tender, the egg was perfect, and yes, I am now the kind of person who notices if an egg is done right. Even the little details were on point. Clean presentation, good portion sizes, and everything came out hot and fast without feeling rushed. The drinks were solid too, and I may or may not have been tempted to order a second round just to justify sitting there longer. Service was friendly and efficient, we had a fun time with our server. Nothing worse than great food and a weird vibe. Not the case here. If you are someone who thinks ramen is just instant noodles with better marketing, go here and let that belief die. The ramen was not good or tasty to us, so we didn't order it again this time. My notes for last time was that the ramen was flavorless, and watery. This time, today, we ordered the Honeycomb Platter, Takoyaki, Chicken Wings (KBBQ), Pan-Fried Gyoza, and the Smashed Cucumber. Honeycomb Platter 10/10 - always good. Good flavor variety. My favorite is the shrimp. My girlfriends favorite is also the shrimp. Smashed Cucumber 7/10 - was not smashed like in photo. That's OK. Sliced cucumber with a chili vinaigrette. Fresh but a bit spicy. Takoyaki 5/10 - not the best we've had but we are picky. Good for people who are trying Takoyaki for the first time. Nice filling but lame flavor. Chicken Wings (KBBQ) 5/10 - 6 wings, half flats half drum. Tasty, but wing quality is just OK. Tangy KBBQ flavor. Medium crispness. Pan-Fried Gyoza 8/10 - yummy ! Not crispy on bottom but it was still pretty good. Pork inside is juicy and tender. Very cool presentation. We liked the variety of things we ordered this time, but could've done without the wings and extra Takoyaki, as the honeycomb platter comes with 2 balls. We sat upstairs in the honeycomb booths this time. Felt private enough but the acoustics made me feel like everyone could hear everything. Bright and quiet enough for a midday lunch today. Will probs be back another time for some other apps. Thanks
