I'm very disappointed and very disgusted that Tamiami Dental took advantage of my mother's situation and charged her over $1100 and didn't resolve a damn thing. That's bad business and a lot of money to pay anyone to not get the proper care or professional advice or direction towards solving her dental problem. I walked in there was no one sitting at reception to attend me, just three empty chairs and good ol Saint Nick. After waiting for a good 10 minutes with no ring bell or anything to alert the employees that a customer/patient has arrived the receptionist appeared following me whistling to get someone's ear. I politely introduced myself and asked for the managers name..... the receptionist demeanor changed and she asked me for what did I need the managers name. That through me off because at no establishment where good professional business is conducted should anyone feel like they need to withhold any managers name. She eventually said Jennifer, and coincidentally Jennifer walks in now. I explained to her the experience and my disappointment and asked if she recalled a client by the name of Maria Aponte. She claimed that no she did not recall that person and that that type of stuff does not happen in that dental office. Well Jennifer, sorry to tell you that yes you guys took advantage of my mother and took her money........ there an old saying that goes like " don't take anything personal, it's just business " I take this very personal because this is bad business. read more

I started going to this office about 3 months ago and Dr. Lopez is amazing, he is really nice and personable. At my initial consult he explained everything, made sure i understood what needed to be done and that all my questions were answered before I left. I also liked that he took his time with me when talking about this because i didn't feel rushed like you feel at other places. My hygienist is Lily and she is also amazing, very friendly, i did a deep cleaning with her and she was sure to always make sure i was comfortable and not in pain. Before leaving she gave me information on how to keep my teeth healthy and answered an questions i had, also didn't feel rushed. My overall rate for this office is 10 stars if i could give that, from the moment you walk in you're greeted with a smile and asked how you are, ALL the staff from the front desk to management is welcoming and they make you feel comfortable which to me is very important. My teeth are doing great and i would recommend them to anyone that needs a dentist. (they also do orthodontics and offer other services) read more

Worst experience of my life, not only did I get a throat and gum infection after my visit but I also got mouth herpes. Im not saying that my infections and herpes were caused by the dental office but they happened after my visit with them. I am currently re-doing all of my dental work because my fillings were not done right, and wait for it, they charged me for procedures I did not get done, I am over $1,000 in debt for treatment I never received. It has truly been the most miserable experience of my life, I have medical bills to account for due to the seriousness of my throat and gum infections. I would not recommend this place to a single person. OH and they made me wait an hour in their lobby before seeing me. UPDATE: The dental office has threatened to take legal action against me if I do not delete this review, but I refuse to comply because I would hate for anyone else to undergo the same experience I have. They have also refunded me for the procedures that were not done after I was able to get a hold of them and told them I had received a credit card statement with those charges. read more

DANGER-UNSAFE.It is extremely troubling that this dentist office does not enforce COVID safety measures among its clients. When I came into the office for an appointment, a customer was seated out front with no mask, talking on the phone for several minutes. When the customer was called to the back, he entered the back with no mask. This is not the first time I have seen something like this happen at this office. There is also no distancing in the waiting room. The imbecile office manager did not seem to care when I confronted her with this issue. Her way of apologizing was " I'm sorry you feel that way." I have underlying health issues and trusted this practice to do the right thing, but my trust was misplaced. If you are like me and value your safety during these dangerous times , you might think twice before trusting this dental practice. The people who work out front don't seem to even care. Their office manager certainly doesn't. Their website claims that they check your temperature before allowing you in the facility and ask that all clients wear a mask, but then they don't enforce it. What kind of medical facility can afford to be so lax in safety these days? Current CDC guidelines for dental offices state the following :" Ensure that everyone has donned their own cloth face covering, or provide a facemask if supplies are adequate." Another thing: this is after I spent nearly $10,000 at this office in the last few months. Tell your neighbors to avoid going to this business unless you don't care about COVID safety. read more

I was new to the area and all I had to go by was the reviews when choosing my dental office, unfortunately none of the reviews mentioned the dentist that I got stuck with, Dr. Lopez. I was told that I could have all my teeth pulled, get 4 implants, have an immediate denture I could use for about 4 to 6 months, then have my snap in dentures and I would love them. I went for over a year with no teeth because he couldn't get the immediate denture to fit at all, not to mention all the times I had to go back in for infections and bone fragments popping out of my gums. So the first and second sets of immediate dentures were a total waste of my money, never able to use them. Then after a whole year being toothless, not eating right, not being able to go out confidently in public, and not being able to go find work, I finally get the snap in dentures, and more disappointment. When trying to tell Dr. Lopez a couple of concerns, the top teeth were not lined up right, there was a tooth right in the middle, and the bottom teeth were too big, they stick up way too high, the top ones got sent back to get fixed, and was told I had to deal with the bottom ones, there was nothing he could do. So needless to say, now I'm stuck with very expensive snap in dentures that look terrible, I'm more embarrassed to go in public with them than I am without them. When I try to talk to people, their eyes go straight for my big, gaudy, fake looking bottom teeth, and then they look away quickly as to not embarrass me. Avoid Dr. Lopez, you will get stuck with what he wants you to have, not what you're comfortable with. I will be going elsewhere to get some dentures that wont make me look like a monkey, unfortunately I'm going to be paying for these for the next 10 years, so it will have to wait. read more

This has been the best dental center we've ever been to. Dr Urbino was really down to earth and helped my boyfriend get his wisdom tooth pulled. We walked in without an appointment and waited less than 20 minutes before being seen, they didn't even charge us for the consultation or X-rays because we were first time patients. They are SUPER affordable, getting my bfs tooth pulled was only $200. Definitely recommend this place!! read more

My husband and I went to this dental clinic today for the first time. Everyone was very nice and pleasant. They made us forget that we were at a dentist office. Their prices are also very reasonable and the doctor didn't make us feel like we were just a money sign to her, but she was actually very fair with the treatment plans that she offered us. read more

My treatment here was nightmarish. I don't even know where to begin. Basically, this place treats patients like cattle. They only do cleanings on Tuesdays, so I scheduled my cleaning for a Tuesday in early August. They rescheduled me twice, and I had enough, so I made them see me on a Friday in early September. I got to the office and I was ushered into the patient area pretty quickly. I was seated and given x-rays immediately, and the dental assistant polished my teeth. This usually happens after the cleaning, but whatever. I didn't question it. The dentist came over and didn't even look at my mouth. She looked at the x-rays, asked if I had any tooth pain, and when I said no, she walked away. I waited in the chair for thirty minutes for the cleaning. The dental assistant came, said I was done, and ushered me out. I was already late for work, so I left. I tried calling back on Friday to see if there was anything that could be done about the cleaning, but no one answered. After a long weekend, I called on Tuesday morning, explained my situation, and hoped that they would be able to help me schedule a cleaning. The receptionist called me a liar. She said that she had been present for my entire appointment, and that she saw the dentist tend to me teeth. She was lying blatantly, and rewriting history, and had the gaul to call me a liar. She screamed at me over the phone, and I screamed back. Not my proudest moment, but what can you do? I'm very wary of their reaction to my call. I suspect it may have something to do with insurance claims, but I can't say for certain. Please don't come here. read more

I am really disappointed with this place I made an appointment for my kids to have their cleaning and they gave me an appointment for a Thursday because the person doesn't do them on Fridays which is my day off, I had to make arrangements for my mother to take them, and then I decided to call and confirm the appointment and they told me I didn't have one. And then wanted to give me one 3 weeks later after they messed up. I also went to fill some cavities and I don't know what the dentist did to me because it has been 3 months and now I have a lot of sensitivity in my teeth that I never had before. Please avoid this place the receptionist that takes appointments is not responsible at her job and needs to be trained or fired. read more

I am beyond upset with the front desk in this office. I scheduled a dental cleaning appt WEEKS ago for today at 5pm. I left work early to get to this appt on time because the dental hygienist is not there on Fridays which are normally my days off. I go in at 5pm and they tell me to have a seat and they will be right with me. Two of the ladies at the front desk were whispering and seemed liked they were trying to resolve something. Several minutes later they call me up to the desk and tell me that they tried reaching me on Friday and "left me a voicemail" stating that the dental hygienist would not be in today. So I pulled out my phone and checked my call log and voicemail in front of her and confirmed that I did not receive a call or voicemail. I told her that this was very frustrating because I needed to leave work early to get to this appt on time. And as I was telling her this, the lady who had supposedly "called me" left quickly into a room and closed the door behind her, she couldn't even face me with the lie that I was being told. I mentioned that if they really had called and were not able to reach me then why wouldn't they follow up with me this morning to confirm that I had received this "call" on Friday. I value my time but apparently they don't. I will not be returning to this office again. The doctor is very sweet but the fact that I was lied to my face is just crazy to me. And then, the front desk had the AUDACITY to try and reschedule my appt for TWO weeks out. The customer service is horrific, I don't have time for this foolishness. read more
