I can't say enough great things about Melissa! She is a phenomenal provider, with an amazing talent…read moreto assess the entire situation holistically. She has provided care for my family for well over a decade, treating everything from bumps and bruises to more serious infections. She counseled and guided me through a chronic pain condition with skill and exceptional kindness. She also has a keen passion for working with families through end of life care. A few years ago, my grandmother suffered a stroke and was unable to sustain life without constant intervention. Melissa helped my family make one of the hardest decisions of our lives to withdraw life support. While this was a tragic experience, her care ensured that my grandmother's last days were peaceful and she was able to pass gracefully.

Well started out promising but I don't think they know how to handle concerns and issues. I asked…read moreto switch providers for my next visit to Joy because with the other provider I have felt dismissed about the reactions I am getting every time (we are talking severe bruising and pain for weeks after insertion) well I called today (this morning) because I am 5 weeks out from insertion and have swelling, some pain and you can feel the pellet at the site (hard as a rock). I was told a provider would call me today to discuss what I should do. Yep no one called me. I was very firm this morning about how bad it felt and that it wasn't normal. So I guess I try again in the morning but most likely will not continue at this practice.

I have driven by this place quite a few times. I have been suffering with lack of hormones for far…read moretoo long and decided to take a leap and invest in my health. Hormone therapy can be expensive. You are constantly getting lab work done, every 2-3 months to verify your hormone levels. Melissa Salgado is their receptionist and she does a great job; and so much more. Amelia was my practitioner and has an amazing warmth and I really felt comfortable with her and Paula as well. I don't mind being farmed out to other practitioners but they should have the same follow-through is the original one. They just dropped the ball so many times. I left them feeling really disappointed. The lack of follow up and follow through was really lacking. When my labs would come back I would have to chase them down to get somebody to call me back. For the amount of money I'm paying I shouldn't have to chase them and continuously call and leave messages to get some type of response. I do not feel they were aggressive enough with my treatment and because I wasn't buying all the add-ons. I feel like I was a waste of their time and they didn't treat me or care the way they should have. I know there is a range of where they want your numbers to be... But some people don't fit that range and sometimes they need more. Everybody's body chemistry is different... hence the customization of the pellets.

I've Been a Patient Here for Years, and the Care Has Always Been Exceptional…read more I have been coming to this doctor's office for the past few years, and every visit has been a positive experience. The entire staff is consistently warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring, which makes such a difference. The office is always clean and has nice decor. Katrina, NP, is simply the BEST! She is friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly competent. She always takes the time to listen carefully, never makes me feel rushed, and addresses every concern with kindness and respect. I truly appreciate the exceptional care she provides. She provides the same great service on Telehealth appointments. I know some people mention that some providers occasionally run behind schedule, but if they're running late, it's because they're giving the patient before you the same exceptional care they'll give you! The company may only allow appointment slots that are 10-15 minutes, but many patients have complex medical concerns that simply can't be addressed that quickly. I'd much rather wait a little longer than feel rushed through my appointment. As a medically retired registered nurse, I recognize quality healthcare when I see it. Katrina, NP exemplifies the kind of provider every patient hopes to find. I am grateful to have her as part of my healthcare team and highly recommend her and the wonderful staff at this office.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other patients should be aware of our experience…read more My father is 82 years old, diabetic, and on dialysis three times a week. On June 24, his pharmacy notified us that his medication required a prior authorization from this office. Because the authorization was not completed and the medication was medically necessary, we had to pay out of pocket to ensure he did not go without treatment. Since then, we have called the office numerous times, spoken with multiple staff members, and repeatedly explained the urgency of the situation. Despite multiple follow-ups and escalations, the prior authorization was still not completed in a timely manner. We were even hung up on during some of our calls, making an already stressful situation even more frustrating. At no point did we feel that the seriousness of my father's medical condition was being taken seriously. What is most disappointing is that my father, an elderly patient with significant medical needs, has had to endure the stress and uncertainty of this situation. He is fortunate to have family members who can advocate for him, make repeated phone calls, and navigate the healthcare system on his behalf. I cannot help but think about patients who do not have that support. No elderly or medically vulnerable person should have to fight this hard to receive a medication they have already been prescribed. It is deeply concerning that clinical issues like medication prior authorizations appear to be handled through a call center that is unable or unwilling to appropriately address urgent patient needs. Patients deserve timely communication, compassion, and a process that prioritizes their health--not repeated transfers, unanswered requests, or disconnected calls. The way this office has handled this situation has been unacceptable. I am sharing our experience because I genuinely do not want another patient or family to go through what we have experienced. I sincerely hope this practice improves its prior authorization process, communication, and overall care for medically vulnerable patients.
