Perhaps the best way to illustrate this is to describe some of things Katie provided (unprompted) as we looked to buy a house in a crazy market while simultaneously selling our previous house (across the country). In addition to excelling in all the areas that you'd expect on the buying side, e.g. detailed knowledge of the Boise market, immediate responsiveness, a great "gut" sense of the kind of house we would be into (with little more than a few phone conversations to go off of) and strong negotiating chops, Katie provided us a wealth of helpful tips and information to help sell our house in Maryland, even though she wouldn't see a penny from the transaction. It turns out that agents often refer their clients to agents in other in locales they're not active in exchange for part of the commission. Katie, again, unprompted, offered to interview the agent we were considering using and credit any referral back to us.
