Terrible customer service! Tammy was SO RUDE to my mother, who is the nicest person in the world! There's no excuse to treat a customer the way she treated my mom! It was so bad, her husband, Henry, was repeatedly telling her to stop, but she kept on with her rude behavior. None of my family will be returning as customers. read more

The owner of Tammy Nail was NASTY and RUDE yesterday when I came in for a pedicure with my cousin. She had thrown the tools I paid for away because as she said repeatedly " I don't come back so I throw away". when she pulled my numbered box it had my name on it but it was empty. It could have been explained in a kind pleasant way, but instead she RANTED about it. My cousin has been going to her for years and had a gift certificate she needed to use or we would have left. We both were in shock at her attitude and how she talked to me as a customer. I actually had been back many times accompanying my cousin for special occasions. My cousin was a regular of Tammy's and I would get her husband, Henry. Neither of us ever plan to go back again after this nightmare experience. I have ben going to Tammy's Nails for over 15 years. Tammy is such a sweet lady and so is her staff. I love their pedicures. Tamy does my gel nails and does a great job. She is very patient and always appreciative of everyone who comes in to the salon. This is the only place I go for my manicures and pedicures. read more

We went there that for my husbands birthday. The lady who did his feet was absolutely wonderful. She did such an amazing job for him. He felt very pampered. But the man, Jack, who did my feet was terrible!! I was constantly having to ask him to be more gentle. He hurt my toes, It felt like he was bruising my feet and legs. Then he almost scalded my feet with the wax. If you go there do not let Jack touch your feet. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars was because the lady who did my husbands pedicure was amazing! read more

My first visit to Tammy Nails after trying and using all other local salons was very disappointing. I treated myself to a gel French manicure. i was surprised Henry only painted on coat of a base pink and one white tip with a topcoat. I assumed it was better polish and went on my way as they looked nice. However, only TWO days later, two nails were peeling. Since they are closed on Monday, I waited another day to call and noticed lifting on my thumb. I was told to come in to have them fixed. He redid the first two and added another layer of topcoat to all my nails and that was it. I didn't feel as though they were happy to do this but got over it. Today, I have more peeling today- only 6 days after my original and I'm sick thinking I paid $48 for a two day gel manicure. I will surely go somewhere else next time. read more

One of a few nail salons open on Sunday in Sykesville. They were able to fit me in on a busy Sunday afternoon. A little bit of a wait with a last minute appt - no big deal. The short, older guy (who sits at station 6) did a great job on my gel manicure. He has the softest hands I've ever felt on a male, and his attention to detail was fantastic. The hand massage could have been better but I'm not complaining. Bottom line, I would DEFINITELY come back again. Also, they have a frequent flier card that you get $20 off after 10 visits! I tried this place because people on a FB board gave it good reviews. My first visit: I had a great experience with Linh who was very sweet but the owner was very curt and unfriendly. My second visit: My 12 y/o daughter wanted her nails done so I thought I'd take her to see Linh and have her do our nails. Upon arrival the owner barked at us about being 15 mins early, although I told her we knew we'd have to wait. Then when Linh was ready, the owner asked me to go back. I explained that I wanted my daughter to go first. She said that she didn't book my daughter with Linh but with someone else. I told her that I would take the next available person and that I wanted my daughter to see Linh. The owner then proceeded to argue with me about this in front of my kid. Linh is sweet but I'll never go back and I won't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have been a long time customer at Tammy Nail, probably roughly ten years. It used to be a really impressive place when I was a teenager, but it is beginning to show it's age and I can't say I've been happy with it. I come here every six months or so when I come hang out with my mom (it's her choice because her experiences are VASTLY different than mine, even when we're right next to each other) for a pedicure. Yesterday we came in and my experience started like every other time: salon is almost empty, we ask for two pedicures, we are asked to go to the back and have a seat. Everyone is very nice. One woman pulls up a station and fills up the foot baths. She begins working on my moms pedicure. No word about mine. I wait fifteen minutes with tepid, slowly chilling water. Tammy eventually comes to do my pedicure, apologetic but seeming....rushed. The majority of the actual pedicure experience was decent, aside from the cold water my feet were pruning in. BUT i was kind of appalled at the paint job my toes got, from the OWNER at that. It was messy, with paint all over the cuticles and bare spots on some of my nails. This has happened another time with another technician. Because I'd rather ask than leave disappointed, I asked her to touch it up. She did, but it was STILL messy. When my clear coat dried, the surface of some of my nails was really rough. Sure, the staff is sweet. I'm just disappointed because I keep coming back and I haven't been happy in a long time. Maybe it's time to convince my mom to just drive into the city and go to a better salon there for our girls days. read more

I called in very last-minute to see if they had any openings as soon as possible and they were able to fit me right in! The overall appearance of the place is very simple and it definitely shows age, but i found nothing about it that was unclean or messy. I asked for a dip powder manicure with tip extensions and the man who did my nails was very friendly! He checked up on me every so often and asked frequently if I liked the shape of all my nails. He paid very close attention to detail and continuously checked my nails to make sure that the oval shape i asked for was even on all of the nails. He even treated a small cut i had right next to my nail which i greatly appreciated! There was no hassle, no miscommunication, everything about the experience was great! Prices were also very appropriate for what they offered, so I have no complaints and will definitely be coming back soon. read more

Cheap and it gets the job done. No "wow" factor here. Boring old layout. No offer of water or wine like most places and the tech didn't speak at all and got up and walked around a lot in the middle of my pedicure. I'm pretty sure she was the owner too, which makes it worse. First impressions are every thing and I doubt I'll be back. That is unless I really need in and out fast for little money but have zero interest in being relaxed at all. Very unsatisfied with the service. My friend and i brought her 2 girls to get pedicures and we told them it was their first time. They left them in the pedicure chairs with no water and then sighed and acted like they were a problem being there. When i scheduled the appointment, they said, they could do us 4 at the same time. But they didnt. They left the 2 girls in the far pedicure chairs and ignored them completely. They didnt get any part of a pedicure. If we knew they were just going to paint the nails and no other part of the pedicure, they can paint their own toes by them selves at home. It was supposed to be a fun experience. Never coming back again. Also the nails look so bad and they painted my skin as part of my nails. read more

I usually get standard manicures but the nail technician convinced me to get SNS instead on my last visit and I love it! He did a wonderful job and 3 weeks later they are still in perfect condition! It's a little more expensive than I am usually willing to spend but 100% worth it. Definitely recommend it over regular manicures and they do a great job here. read more

My wife and I have been here several times. Tammy and her team are very nice every time. They ask about our kids, and how life is going. Tammy even persuaded me, as a male, to get a pedicure with the help of another male patron. Typically we get seen quickly, but every so often there is a short wait. This is a small but nice salon. The owners, Tammy and Henry, make sure that you have a good experience. It is clean and they have 2 TVs. The pedicure chairs are comfortable and have massage. There prices are very fair and lower than some of the other nail salons in town. The best part is that when you pay for a deluxe pedicure, which I believe is $40, you get the works: callous remover, all kinds of applications, hot towels, and paraffin treatment! Wonderful experience. Waxing is offered, too. Tammy does my nails and they always look nice. Tom is also a good technician. They appreciate a cash tip. Rita's Ice is right next store, so that's an added treat in the summer! read more

I arrived at Tammy's expecting a great experienced based off previous reviews. My nail technician was the man stationed in the front on the right hand side. I had my nails previously done at a different salon which should have made no difference to my services. I had long, coffin shaped nails and asked for them to be shortened. I have gotten them shorten before at a previous establishment so I knew this was a possible service to execute. I told the man the length I wanted and he completely butchered it. He did not do the service the correct way as I have seen by past technicians multiple times. He then tried to show me a different shape that I did not ask for thus ruining my nails further. After being completely disappointed by my experience thus far, he proceeds to talk to Tammy and says he can no longer do what I asked for. I then asked if he can just take off this set and do a new one. Which I believe he would still be making money and would have gotten a bigger tip since he would be providing me more services. But he refused to do anything else. Tammy then became aggressive and told me to go somewhere else because they would say the same thing. So I walked out without paying and went to Bella Lifestyle in Owings Mills. They took off my set and fixed it. I will never return to this establishment and I will continue to tell people to not come here since they treated me so badly. I 100% recommend Taylor at Bella Lifestyle and I gladly gave her a large tip for fixing what they messed up. Do. Not. Come. Here. read more

Visited Tammy Nail for the first time last week for a gel manicure. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. However, the nails chipped within three days. Also, the skin under the nails had a lot of the gel polish left on them, so I was forced to pick that off after leaving. Not the worst manicure I've ever had, but I won't be returning. read more

First time here and I had the best experience! Much better than Diana's Nails in the plaza next door to this one.... I got here around 1:15pm, had to wait maybe 5 mins. Attentive, nice staff. It got much busier after i had gotten there. And this was a Friday afternoon. Clean salon, and I was surprised about the pricing! And you get a card to get stamped every time you're there and by X amount of times visited, you get some service either discounted or it's like $20 towards a service. I can't remember. But excellent job on my nails as well.... the guy tech doing my nails was very careful. I loved my eyebrows too, the lady did a very good job. Went here for the first time and the last time. Very dissapointed. The gel was not like the gel everyone else uses. Paid a lot of money for junk! They started popping of within the first week. By the end of the second week I had a couple finger nails left. I took them all back with me, she says you popped them off, meaning, me. ... if you would have come in when it was one or two we would have fixed them for you. She said I not helping you. Almost $50.00 for nothing. I was in there complaining and another lady came in complaining of the same thing. She tells me, I can't compare. Lol read more

I just moved to the area a year ago and tried a few salons and they just don't compare to Tammy's. The care and friendliness they bring to you is great. Absolutely terrible. Just went in today to get my gel removed and a new gel manicure. My technician was unfriendly and did a terrible job filing my nails. After asking to have them refiled, they just looked worse and she said it was because my nails were too short. I will NEVER make the mistake of not going to my regular salon again. I ended up telling them I don't want the gel manicure and just left with nothing except terrible looking nails and a bill to pay. Save your time and money! read more
