History

Established in 1993.

Tammy White has been in the art and framing industry for 26 years. Started Creative Frame Studio in 1986, Pompano Beach, FL. Became a certified Picture Framer, certified by the Professional Picture Framers Assoc. in 1998. Moved to New Port Richey, FL in 1991 on opened Tammy White Galleries on US 19 in February 1993. We were located in the Davis Center for 10 years. Move the business to our current location April 2003 in a cottage, park like setting on a lake. We specialize in personal custom service.

Meet the Business Owner: Tammy W.

I start working in this industry when I was about 22 years old. By the time I was 26 I start my first art and framing business in Pompano Beach, FL. Took the certification test given by the ProfessioalPicture Framers Assoc. in 1998. My husband and I moved in 1991 to New Port Richey to be near his family. We opened Tammy White Galleries in February 1993. I attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and have an A.A. degree from Pasco-Hernando Community College and a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Business Management from Hodges University . I love the creativity of my work. I take great care in framing and preserving the work my clients entrust to my care. Some of our commercial clients include Morton Plant/Mease Hospital, New Port Richey, Synovus Bank of Florida, Dattoli Cancer Center, Sarasota and Pasco-Hernando Hospice.

Nice art gallery in the downtown New Port Richey. It is free. The display has variable art in theme…read morefrom time to time. Today the theme is landscape. It display New Port Richey downtown watercolor. It shows the historic district of the downtown. The gallery is free to public. Today they are opened at 10 am. At 9:40 am we were picking through the window and the art gallery lady was kind enough to open the door for us and let us in. There are several artists display their master piece in this gallery. Every 1st Friday of the month, the gallery has the art show and reception start at 6 pm to 8 pm. Please check their calendar for their upcoming special program. The art gallery is also doing rental that you rent out for special function. You can cater the food from outside and bring to the gallery during the event. They have guest speaker, poetry, book reading sometime. The parking is easy on the street. The access is simple and you can walk to all downtown venue from there.

The gallery is next to the Port Richey Suncoast Theater in Downtown New Port Richey, a cute and walkable area with some nice restaurants and several bars. Many places have patios and there is a nice park along the Pithlascotchee River. The art exhibits have themes and it's neat to see the diverse styles. There are also some sculptures and jewelry. They also host student exhibits. If you are an artist you can have your work displayed for a small fee. This is a community gem. Enjoy. The employees and volunteers are always super friendly.

Jess was great to work with and set me up with a gorgeous collage with 9 total pieces. Fast forward a few months, one of the couples in the photos break-up, my son and his long time girlfriend. So, I reached out to order a new pic in the collage. To my surprise Jess mentioned that they may be able to edit this person out of the photos. We opted to replace one of the shots with my son's Golden Retriever. The work that Jess and her team did was nothing short of a miracle! I had no idea that this was even possible. If it is green and you plug it from the tree it won't turn sweet like papaya. The local have several recipes for Jam, Pie, and Pastry. Today we have tried the limited edition pastry. Luckily we are early and we have the chance to buy one from the vender for $2.50. The people behind us do not have the chance like the early bird like me and Nick. There are improvement can be made to bridge more crowd and attention. Such as contact some food truck, artist tent, pie competition that makes the venue more fun. This is my new favorite cinema. The cinema that used to be in Citrus Park Mall closed down, was…read morebought by NCG, who remodeled all the theaters and reopened. The best thing they did when they remodeled was to install big comfortable reclining chairs. Ahhhh. Unusual thing to keep in mind when you go: you have to pay for your drinks and any food you might want (popcorn, pizza, nachos, chicken fingers or pretzel bites) at the front register, the same place you buy tickets. They give you your cup and popcorn bowl, or a receipt to pick up your cooked food inside. The one thing I did not like at this cinema was the cooked food pick-up area. They had only one person working here, and she only had one oven warmed up, so the wait for pretzel bites was 5+ minutes. I felt bad for the group behind me - it was going to take 15-20 minutes for them all to get their food at the rate the worker was going. Big plusses for this cinema: Unlimited popcorn for $8.50! And they had big popcorn machines that you helped yourself to, so no waiting in line. They also had my favorite soda machine with over 100 soda options, which was self-serve too. I'm a sucker for zero sugar peach Fanta. Clean, small theaters, reasonable prices (for a movie theater), ability to pre-purchase seats online, and unlimited popcorn: I know where I'll be all summer.
