Love this place! Always visit when I'm in town. I usually get an omelette or bacon and eggs. Great service and quick. Nice and clean.

Talk about old school. This was an interesting discovery. There are several buildings including a…read moreFarmers market so I wasn't sure where the restaurant was. I went in the Farmer's Market first. It looks like an old barn. There were lots and lots of homemade choices- "canned" soup bases, fruits, vegetables, salsas, jams, flavored oils to name a few. There were also fresh fruits, nuts, honey, vegetables, dairy products and cakes. There are four areas you can eat. The main "restaurant" is small with only a few tables. Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Plan to stay a few extra minutes and look around and support local farmers. We brought home some boiled peanuts. Fun experience and good breakfast.

Went in sat for 6 minutes when 6 seats opened up. Waited for them to call our name finally after 5…read moremore minutes they put at the short bar. The waitress said "I ll Be right with you ". After 8 minutes she said it again. She was preparing to-go orders and no one was even there to pick them up. While customers were sitting no drinks no silverware nothing. So we got up to leave and she said "have a good day". We explained we probably would not be back she responded "okay" Unbelievable. Service is absolutely ridiculous. Go somewhere else don't waste your money and time. I would love to give them a zero

upon arriving there was one car in The parking lot 3 workers outside one was talking to the guest…read morethat was in the vehicle the worker spoke as we were walking in (very friendly). when we entered there were two other workers behind the counter (they spoke as we came in), we proceeded to look for a table to sit and the floors were nasty with trash all over the floor, dirty dishes on a few tables, and many of the tables needed to be washed off. I said loud enough to be heard "As many people working there is no reason for this place to be this nasty" I noticed how the two looked at one another. We found a table that was clean enough to sit down and eat our waiter Tony (cell block c) was friendly, but to focused on his phone, made a fresh pot of coffee that we didn't get til right before our food came out (very slow). normally I'm on my second cup by the time I get my food. ONE CUP was all we had and was not asked to refill at no point. The food was not the best the grits was lumpy as he**, and the bacon was over cooked, the female waiter must be new because she wasn't sure of the items they had, wasn't familiar with the menu. shortly after we received our food Tony decided to sweep and mop at the floor. Why sweep the floor around people while they are eating, this should've been done while there was no one there. Don't know who owns this place but they need to rethink not only their staff but their management first and foremost. This would be my last option to eat at or I'll just go the extra miles and drive out of town to eat. I had to use the bathroom but if the eating area looked this bad I wasn't going to take a chance with the bathroom so I just decided to wait til I got back home to use the bathroom. -----annoying

The restaurant is plainly decorated with about a dozen tables. We timed our visit perfectly since it seemed that soon after we arrived the lunch crowd began arriving, which quickly created a wait. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, which cooked perfectly and were topped with a well-executed béarnaise sauce. We also ordered a Meat-Lover's Omelette that was generously stuffed with various meats. We also ordered a stack of blueberry pancakes that were light and fluffy in the middle with slightly-crisp edges. Delicious all around. Service was attentive and efficient. The staff seemed to have multiple roles as you would expect in a small/family-run restaurant. I highly recommend you stop here for breakfast or lunch and enjoy delicious food in a simple atmosphere.

Not terrible considering it was Saturday morning breakfast rush. We wait, the place is rather small, so you can see the tables and the progress they've made with food. We get seated about the same time as another table. The other table promptly gets menus and drinks. Another two groups come in and have a five(ish) minute wait and get seated and are immediately given menus, and we are still sitting with nothing, no one is even making eye contact with us, again small place and we were right by the counter. So, after drinks were taken at the two newer tables and we still had no menus my husband and I got up and left. The reviews made me want to try this place, but after that, we won't be back to try.
