A hidden treasure. Maybe the best hamburger on lake Hartwell. Friendly waitstaff that makes sure things are good. Food is cooked when you order so yeah you may have to wait a few minutes, this ain't McDonalds and you know it when you bite into the hand made burgers.

This place is one-of-a-kind southern cooking at pre-Biden prices in the middle of nowhere. We wish the country was more like this!

We had such a great time and the food was great! Our server (I believe her name was Sidney?) was…read moresuch a delight! For appetizers we got the clam chowder, not shy on the clam, was very tasty and a side salad with maple bacon vinaigrette, nice and refreshing. Something called to me to get the crab cake and since it's an appetizers I ordered that with a side of street corn. Upon first sight, I felt maybe they went a bit light on the remoulade but the flavor from the crab cake itself was incredible, and the remoulade was a nice enhancement. Any more would've overpowered the flavor of the crab cake itself. They did it right and the street corn was also delicious. Pimento Cheese Rockefeller Shucks pimento cheese and jalapeño pepper jelly. I didn't know what to expect from this but we are adventurous and I'm glad. This may be my favorite of the evening! We also got the Butter Parmesan Rockefeller which was heavenly. Next onto the raw oysters. We opted for gulf, Virginia, and NC and ended up ordering more VA & NC. Normally I use lot of horseradish and coctail sauce but the mignonette was so delicious that about half way through I only used that. Finally, and I wish I had gotten a picture, we talked ourselves into getting the crème brûlée cheesecake, diets be damned. I love crème brûlée and the hubby loves cheesecake. This became apparent when after a few bites we made a deal that I eat the top and he can have the bottom this was a win win for us! All the food was a hit, we loved our server, and the location and ambiance! Not only will we be back, I could see us becoming regulars. The hubby loves raw oysters/seafood and I'm coming around. Everything I ate was fabulous and I would order any of it again though there are other menu items I want to try as well. Thanks Shucks for a great night out. We will be back!

Upon walking in there was no one present and you're instructed to place your order on the kiosk. Maybe 5-10 mins later someone came out and acknowledged us to confirm that we placed an order. The ambiance was very open and things seemed to be in disarray or in strange places. On my way to the bathroom there was just a lot of dry goods and supplies they had strewn along the back wall and it was very disorganized. Some spots towards the back look unfinished and some random things in their dining room like coffee cups for sale, personal items out on the high counter and so on. The girl who assisted us was friendly when she did come out once we sat down. Our order for 2 potato boats and chicken wings took about 30ish minutes. I asked for bbq sauce and she said they were out and they make it in house. It was around noonish so I was a bit surprised they already ran out. The young lady told us that our food would be done soon and their "server robot" would bring it out for us. Mind you we are the ONLY table in the restaurant so we found it a bit strange for her to present it that way and then not just bring out the food herself. I feel like having a server robot bring food out to one table doesn't make much sense but perhaps they saw it as a wow factor. The robot is was playing "Move B^tch get out the way" by Ludacris and we were totally caught off guard. I'm not sure if that song is a great choice for the demographic or crowd for Anderson but because we knew the song well so it didn't bother us. Something to reconsider that might be more friendly or appropriate. Onto the food, the potato boats were cooked very well and had great flavor. She seasoned the potato part nicely aside from the other condiments on top. We got a 10 piece wing combo with sweet potato fries. Chicken wings were the smaller ones so they were crispy on the outside and the fries were tasty. Overall, enjoyed the food concept but the execution of service and hospitality can really use some refining. It didn't feel like a personalized experience and had moments of just wondering how everything ties in together. I find it important to acknowledge that guest perception is important and what they are surrounded by. Although the food was solid, the ambiance was unusual and lacked organization or a vision.

I have had numerous meals here... blackened salmon, was just fine, the hangar steak on my last visit was some of the best food I ever put in my mouth! I suggest that you come here for the fun of visiting by boat. Don't come expecting a great meal, but be ready to be surprised with something delicious. This place was next door to Nami where you could eat a really good Japanese meal. I used to suggest that Nami was the better choice by far. HOWEVER, Nami has now moved its chef and menu over to the Galley. If you enjoy Sushi , Sashimi and Nigiri I highly recommend it. If your boat lift was built by Earnest Rodgers, who is an excellent human being, (he is retired now). Earnest used to frequent Nami and had a dish named after him, "The Earnest Turbo Bowl". It's not on the menu, but it is worth inquiring about.
