Arrived at Strickland's late one morning for breakfast. The Yelp ratings set high expectations, which were thoroughly met. We were promptly greeted and seated. The restaurant is plainly decorated with about a dozen tables. We timed our visit perfectly since it seemed that soon after we arrived the lunch crowd began arriving, which quickly created a wait. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, which cooked perfectly and were topped with a well-executed béarnaise sauce. We also ordered a Meat-Lover's Omelette that was generously stuffed with various meats. We also ordered a stack of blueberry pancakes that were light and fluffy in the middle with slightly-crisp edges. Delicious all around. Service was attentive and efficient. The staff seemed to have multiple roles as you would expect in a small/family-run restaurant. I highly recommend you stop here for breakfast or lunch and enjoy delicious food in a simple atmosphere. read more

So here's the thing, I was really excited to try this place. My husband and I showed up and there was maybe a 20-minute wait. Not terrible considering it was Saturday morning breakfast rush. We wait, the place is rather small, so you can see the tables and the progress they've made with food. We get seated about the same time as another table. The other table promptly gets menus and drinks. Another two groups come in and have a five(ish) minute wait and get seated and are immediately given menus, and we are still sitting with nothing, no one is even making eye contact with us, again small place and we were right by the counter. So, after drinks were taken at the two newer tables and we still had no menus my husband and I got up and left. Best french toast ever!! Yes, I said it... we keep trying to find better and sure we find more exotic (had bananas foster french toast one time.. amazing but had a sugar high for much of the day) but when it comes to the best regular french toast, this is it! Out waitress was AMAZING and her grand mother came up with the recipe for the french toast. The service was quick and friendly, the food delicious, and the price makes me think of driving back just to eat here again. Well worth it. Also, a quick note on their breakfast tacos. I'm a native Texan, breakfast tacos are my fav. So I've had them lots and lots of places. Never have I been given the option to include two meats at the base price and seen the tacos so stuffed with goodness. They do not skimp on the cheese, veggies, anything. Well done! OMG. I'm sure there are plenty of great places to get breakfast in Seneca, but why look further when there's Stricklands. My family was in town for vacation and ate here twice! Portions were large, service was friendly, food was good. The kids had pancakes and they were light and fluffy. I'm a corn beef hash lover and couldn't resist the Hash Royal on English muffin with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on top. These were soooooo good! They serve breakfast and lunch. I cannot explain how good their food was! The service was great and very friendly with us and my children. A friend told me to go to Strickland's and be sure to ask for the hash browns "extra crispy." I didn't ask questions and did what I was told. And now I'm passing this info to you. Stopped in following a medical appointment in the area after finding this spot on Google. The picture of the breakfast tacos lured me in, and they did not disappoint! We were warmly greeted and chose our seat. Within minutes, our drinks were served and orders were taken. I couldn't help but notice the framed pictures of some of my favorite music artists.
