I love the organic fruit and veggies from Tampa Bay Organics! I have been ordering from the company for about a month now. Every Tuesday I receive a medium sized box of assorted fruit and veggies delivered to my apartment. It's such a nice treat to receive fresh produce every week! I was in a bit of a food rut at my house. Every week I was buying the same fruit and vegetables at the grocery store so I was cooking the same meals over and over again. Now I get fruit and vegetables that I never would imagine buying: beets, kale, rainbow carrots, and artichokes... it's amazing! The best part has been finding new recipes for our produce. Part of our new "date night" ritual is finding recipes for our produce and cooking a meal together. Some of my favorite dishes I have made so far have been a rainbow chard, onion and sweet potato tart, an arugula salad with roasted beets, and baked kale chips. My husband and I are eating more vegetables than we ever have and we feel great! Of course you can customize a list of produce that you do not want to receive. I hate mushrooms and cilantro so I had to put those items on our "do not mail" list. You can also trade items you are tired of. We have been receiving carrots every week now so I swapped the carrots on this week's shipment for two avacados instead. The customer service is amazing. We received a bruised tomato one week and we emailed Tampa Bay Organics. The next morning we received an email stating that we would have a credit for the tomato on our next order. Tip: Buy the green bags!!! The green bags will keep your lettuce and veggies fresher longer. read more

For the most part, I'm really liking the quality and convenience of having Tampa Bay Organics deliver to my door every-other Wednesday. It's been fun to try to cook with veggies that I typically wouldn't think to pickup otherwise. Sticking with just fruits and veggies, the quality has generally been good. We've seen a few items mold quicker that what you typically see from big-box-grocery chains, but I think that's kind of to be expected with certain organic items. The one real fail was getting seafood. I tried adding tuna to my order, and by the time I got it, it was completely thawed and warm. The package said 'keep frozen' as well. That's dangerous, and went straight in the trash, and isn't really acceptable. Avoid getting any kind of keep-cold meats from these guys, and you should be happy. read more

Rude. We received someone's order by accident (they sent it to wrong address 7 minutes away?) We already touched most of the things in the box because we were very confused. I called to let them know they made a mistake and they wanted to come get the box after we touched it and then deliver it to the persons house. Because of COVID, this should not be allowed also it's kinda gross ? It was in our house. They made us feel guilty ("it was really expensive"- the guy said. Like I didn't make you drop it off at the wrong place? ) when we tried to do the nice thing and call to report this. That's what you get for being nice. Lol. read more

The concept is great and the convenience of having new, seasonal organic veggies delivered to your home is wonderful. But my experience was just OK. We tried the biweekly medium box for two people and the amount was just right. You can substitute items you may not want in the delivery which is nice, mind you this is after you complete the questionnaire to include or exclude produce you do not like. All in all - great value for the amount of food you get. My only problem was consistency. Of three deliveries, two had problems. Then I was offered a comp box after my last box was missing half the items, great, but within a day some of my items were moldy. Actually reaching someone at TBO was tricky, I was answered via text and email. I ended up canceling, too much of a hassle for something to make life easier. read more

Great service! I order a small box bi-weekly, and the produce lasts that long, as it is just me eating it all also. I love that they allow you to make substitutes so easily and their ordering system online in general is just very user-friendly. I have rarely had anything that was too ripe or that was sub-par. I think I can maybe remember one time in the past 50 boxes, if not more that I have received. I highly recommend this company over the others I have tried in the area! read more

I wish that every company in the world had customer service like this one. They must supply the people that answer their emails with endless coffee and lollipops. I got their largest offered box with a 50 percent off coupon, and I now have no reason to not pay full price for the same size. It's great. Three weeks later I still have two squashes and an apple that are fantastic. As others have said, the food isn't delivered to you mushy and about to expire. Also, they give you a free green bag to keep it fresh longer. USE IT. I am using it for my delicious lettuce and it works GREAT. I will buy more. About that lettuce - wow. Lettuce is a pet peeve of mine and theirs is super green and yummy. Five stars for great quality, customer service, taste, and options (you can alter your boxes contents). Absolute perfection would be if ALL the food was locally grown, but they explain that they cannot do this yet because they need to make sure everything is organically certified. read more

This is such a fantastic service! I truly love being a Tampa Bay Organics customer. They food is always fresh and amazing and they make it so easy for me to make sure I never get something I am not fond of ( I am looking at you bell peppers and eggplant). PROS: -Fresh fruits and veggies in the perfect size for your household delivered straight to your door even if you live in an apartment -You will be forced to eat more produce and make you body mad happy -Everyone will be jealous of your super awesome service and ask how you got to be so lucky (this is when you hand them one of the awesome promo cards you sometimes get in your box of produce therefore spreading love and earth goodness throughout the world) -You can see what you are getting the week before and sub out anything you are not really keen on (Sorry, lettuce, I like you but I dont like like you I am going with avocado this week) CONS: -If you are a lion this service would do you no good as it is not meat. After using them for a while, I closed my account. Their quality is not good. I got an email from them asking me to give them another shot with 10% off the next 4 deliveries. I gave them a shot. Awful idea. Why would they deliver rotten corn on the cob that they had chopped the top quarter of the ears off ? It was disgusting! Black and pink and rotten. Lemon that was as hard as a rock and the color of a Lime when it's past it's prime. Organic gingeroot? I was so excited about that! What showed up? A nasty, shriveled up piece that had also been chopped off to cover for it being FAR past it's prime. read more

Tampa bay Organics Would NOT recommend. AWFUL!!!! First of all... It's not ALL organic. Only a few items. Second.... You must eat within 2 days or it is rotten. I ordered from this company. (I live in Lutz. The same town where they are) my order was scheduled to arrive in the morning. I waited until noon and had to Leave for an appt. the package was left by my front door in the heat!!! for hours before I returned home. We live in Florida, hello humidity. Not left under the shaded area. It was put in direct sunlight. WTF? When I arrived home, I threw half of it away as it was no longer edible. These people need a lesson in quality control. If you are selling "organic" produce every single item should have an organic sticker. Such a shame this company is charging organic prices for non organic food. I will be looking elsewhere for home actual organic products for home delivery services. P.S. they NEVER answer the phone!!! 813-949-1112 try for yourself! And once you are setup on credit card billing....good luck being able to cancel. I received 2 additional unauthorized charges AFTER I canceled from the 1st shipment. I've been ordering from TBO for probably 2.5 years. I've always had great service from them... They have responded to emails when I've had questions and have even called me at times too to make sure all was good! I started ordering when I had really young children at home and didn't have time to drive all over town to find the best deals on organic produce. Now I love being able to swap out produce if there's something I'm not keen on, and their website just keeps getting easier and easier to use! My kids look forward to seeing what's in our box every two weeks. They pack a small ice pack in the boxes and try to place mine out of the sun if I'm not home. There have only been 2 occasions in the last 2 years where a fruit or veggie was not up to par and they immediately credited my account. I have never had anything but a positive experience! I have to say that communication with your customers is one of the most important aspects of retaining happy repeat customers. If I were grading this this organization on communication it would receive a grade of "F". They say to send and email to contact them and have their phone number listed on their website but do not answer either. I would have joined last year except for the fact I had questions and they never responded. They make substitutions to your order (I assume they run out of weekly produce) and substitute things I don't want for the week. I usually have a specific need for the week for certain produce and when I tried to contact them I got no response. They tell you exactly what they have for the week and I base my choices and plan my menu, but the things they run out of are main ingredients. The food seems to be o.k .its under ripe if anything. I am only on my second box but the communication problem is turning out to be more trouble than its worth. I can drive to one of 4 health food store in the area with less hassle. Very little of the produce they offer is local so its all from the same source and countries anyway. read more

Did not have a good experience with this service. Didn't like the website with limited times to order. Also made a custom purchase of Ezekiel bread and never received it. They do not respond to emails do not return phone calls and do not refund money for items not delivered. No thanks sorry I tried it. I recommend going a local organic building club instead although you have to pick those up they have way more food and great options read more

This service was not for me. I was looking for more of a co-op. For the money, I did not feel I got a great value. Most of the produce went bad really fast and even with all of the extras we were supposed to get it wasn't much food. The corn was rotten. The apples went bad within 2-3 days. It was convenient to have it delivered to my house. I personally feel that I could get just as much if not more organic produce from a grocery store while doing my shopping. I had high hopes for this and was excited to try it. It just didn't work out for me. I have since found an organic co-op where I get way more for my money even though I have to pick it up. read more
