Be careful what you buy at Walmart! During Christmas, I bought a 500 string white and it didn't even have a plug! Also, I was having a Christmas party so I bought the three pack balloons that they have at the register and they had them attached to a weight to keep them from flying away. Yeah. $12.49 and my balloons were gone in two hours! It didn't even make the party! And don't get me started how you can't find anyone working there that speaks English! I think some cards should be checked! I don't understand how so many non English speaking employees are working at this Walmart. Most of the personal shoppers with the blue carts are so rude and they consistantly block the isle with their carts. Today I encounterd a male worker on a ladder stocking the shelves. He would not willingly move out of my way so I could reach an item. He saw me right there, waiting for him to move, but he completely ignored me. I had to ask him to move, so that I could reach the product. He didn't even apologize. What an attitude!! I couldn't believe it when I heard loud Latin music playing on the Walmart speakers. I've lived in Lutz most of my life, and I cannot believe the change. I felt like I was at a Latin market. I will say, there are several wonderful cashiers that I do appreciate. Employees are always leaving carts and trolleys in the walk ways of the aisles. When asking for help almost none of them speak English or act extremely rude to you for trying to get any sort of help. Last time I moved a cart out of the way one of the Employees threatened me and screamed at me the whole time I was there, literally searching the store for me just to point at me and call me rude names. I'm to the point of telling everyone in my area to avoid this place with a burning passion less they want to be treated like garbage by the Employees the entire time. read more

Angry Santa at the self checkout needs to be moved. So we went to buy 4 outdoor chairs, had to put them in a grocery cart, since they have no flat ones. Went to the garden center check-out which was closed, said lady at the nearby exit. Had to go through the store isles that were packed with walmart curb side shoppers, stockers & customers. With our cart overloaded with outdoor chairs. Get to self checkout near the pharmacy all lanes closed. The attended lanes were very backed up so we get to self checkout near grocery. We are admittedly a bit grumpy by now, and we tell the fat guy that looks like Santa our dissatisfaction, he basically says it's our fault because they can't get enough staff, and drones on be laboring the point. It was not a pleasant shopping experience, more like a battle. He could have and should have just apologized, but this windbag had to have the last word. It makes me wonder why to return? read more

Why are you hiring people that don't speak English? I have asked for help from several employees and they can't help because no English. Wow! This Walmart (Lutz location) has undergone a full renovation. Even the bushes have been trimmed, new mulch, floors have been cleaned, and everything has been rearranged. The new layout feels much more spacious and clean. Everything seems so clean and tidy! Very organized. All new signage that appropriately lines up with what's in that aisle or section. I'm still figuring out this new layout and it took me forever to find toothpaste, lol, but it's so much cleaner and roomier than it was before. Tons of parking available outside. Many more Grocery Pick-Up parking spaces available. Separate liquor store available. They even have a "dollar section" which reminds me of a local competitor down the road. They have a quick grab and go section of drinks and snacks, candy, chips. Pretty cool! Still super busy but also still cheaper than other stores. read more

I don't go to Walmar often. But when I do, they tend to have the stuff that I need. This particular location has a large grocery store and I needed to make a small grocery run. Walmart tends to be a bit messyand this one wasn't an exception though ti was a bit cleaner than others I've been to, Not sure if its because they are busy or don't have enough people on the floor; also, they always have pallets of stuff in the aisles. Oftentimes, I don't see associates around other than at the few manned registers or the counter (like at the bakery area). It's good I don't need to ask for help in most cases. This one has a LOT of self checkout registers. The one thing I despise about this Walmart is the parking lot. The designer put in bushes that are taller than most car windshield and block your view (both left and right) abd definitely create a hazard for drivers and pedestrians. Conversely, I do like that they have a Subway onsite at this location. Overall, it's a standard shopping experience that is netierh good, nor bad. It's probably more fun walking around to window shop and people watch than anything else. read more

I had a great pharmacy experience this morning. I needed my medication this morning because of pain, but when I called the automated system said it wouldn't be ready until 1 PM even though it was called in last night. I waited until 9 AM and called the pharmacy. After 20 or so rings a very nice gentleman picked up. He explained it wouldn't be available until after noon, but when I told him I was in pain and I would love to pick it up this morning, he said he would cancel the order at the fulfillment center and fill it at the store for me. He said it be ready in 35 minutes. It was ready a little early and when I met with him for the pharmacist consultation, he was very empathetic, funny, and professional. He is great at his job. I wasn't going to review a Walmart (I prefer to shop local), but this location has impressed me on all three visits & it offers an excellent & separate Beer, Wine & Spirits building w/ great prices. There's been too much hating on this wonderful Walmart; for the working poor, Walmart may be a necessity. This is a large store filled w/ the friendliest Walmart employees I've ever encountered. Every staffer I've spoken to-- from floor staff To courtesy counter employees To management (i.e. Elizabeth) has been WONDERFUL! Each individual has been incredibly polite & helpful. It's been surreal. I find the organization of this particular location's interior a little odd (ex. vertical rows, horizontal rows, & diagonal rows) & its grocery section could be larger, but upon each visit the store has been clean & shelves have been fully stocked. The separate Beer, Wine, & Spirits building to the right of the massive main building (as you're facing it) is EXCELLENT-- lots of product variety (brands, flavors, sizes, & cost), the lowest prices I've found on booze, & a clean & organized interior. There are also MANY individual, fun-sized bottles of booze from $.98 to about $1.48 that would make great stocking stuffers-- see pic. However, if it's beer or wine you want, those beverages are available for purchase in the main building (right rear). NOTE: Unopened liquor purchased @ any Walmart liquor store may be returned, but only if it is accompanied by a receipt & returned to the original liquor store. A manager will be phoned to walk over & sign off on the transaction. (Oddly, the liquor store has no direct entrance to/from the main building.) The courtesy counter ladies have been SUPER! Definitely a small town feel to the staff here! Haven't found this level of service in any other Pasco County Walmart (or Hillsborough County location). I love that the computers (registers) are now able to look up a customer's purchase w/o a receipt-- w/ my last return, the neighborly clerk tried looking up my two possible cards to see on which the refund needed to go. (Lowes & The Home Depot have had the technology for many years.) Lots of parking available here. The store sits back beside busy Land O Lakes Blvd. I'll definitely return whenever I need liquor for a gathering or party. The offerings & prices are too good to pass up! read more

This store is usually a mess. I feel sorry for the stock people who, at all times of the day, have to navigate aisles and stock shelves while there are customers trying to find what they want. Many of them seem overworked because they have no energy or no interest in responding to a simple "Good morning" or "Good afternoon" from a well-meaning customer. I seem to always be making way for a blue stock truck, especially at the end of the aisle. The checkout people are very helpful, but need to make sure that the customer has collected all their purchases. NOW FOR THE WORST: no telephone customer service. I recently left $30 (not $3) at a checkout counter, partially because the checkout person was distracted by some supervisor and people were lined up waiting. As soon as I got home and noticed that the two items were missing, I tried to alert the store to hold on to the items for my return to pick them up. I tried calling all kinds of extensions, including one for "Customer Service." But all of them were not answering, and one recorded message said that the line was "No longer in service." So if you have a problem, you will not be able to talk to anyone by phone to ask for assistance. PLUS, I still have not received a hard copy confirmation of a service warranty contract I paid for in late January (today is April 16)!!!! Good luck, Walmart, especially when tariffs are imposed on all the "Made in China" merchandise. Why is it when you ask someone where something is they always say, I don't know! This is your typical Walmart,only difference is it's in LOL. The towns abbreviation is enough to make you laugh. I love coming here and people watching It is top notch. The store is huge and wandering around is easy if you don't know the lay out. Try finding the automotive section,haha. It has everything you need, eye doctor, subway,hair place ,taxes, drug dealer, garden etc. what a huge statement about America's capitalism. I don't prefer Walmart but if the need arises, I come. I heard they had Lysol so we made our way here....well, of course they were out by the time we arrived. BUT we did end up getting other items that we needed. This store is the cleanest of the Walmarts around Tampa so when I come I do prefer this one. Like other Walmart stores, they only have 1 entrance/exit opened at this time....so don't try to enter the garden area as that door is closed. Masks are required and all staff are wearing as well. I don't see them sanitizing the registers for self check out as their competitors have been doing; so a bit grossed out but we did minimal touching and sanitized after. read more

The pickup area is a joke. The people that work it are super nice but have to deal with alot of unhappy customer's. Weekday's the pickup area is smooth and the orders are on time. Weekend's is a totally different story. Orders are ALWAYS behind, not enough employee's, and not enough spots due to customer's park there and go shopping inside. If I could give them less I would.. I went for interfacing in the craft department.. I waited over 45 mins, asked twice for someone to call for assistance to cut it.. After 45 mins, I cut it myself. Took the pieces I cut, along with the bolts I cut them from. Went to customer service.. They called the same person. Jowellen.. whoever that is.. Again nothing.. At this point I tried checking out at a register with my cuts and bolts.. Again she told me they had to call Jowellen.. I said no thank you.. left and will never ever go back.. I should have known better than to try Walmart.. What the heck ever happened to good old customer service.. I owned a business and if I treated my customers this way. If you can't find it at another Walmart chances are they will have it for sure. I walked into this one during Christmas time and they were still fully stocked with Christmas decorations and clothing. I was so surprised! Lucky me. This Walmart isn't as shady as the other walmarts I have been to.. I wouldn't come alone at night but if I need to come in the middle of the night this is the one to go to. This place also had LOTS of register opened unlike ANY other one I ever go to where I find what I need in 5 mins and end up waiting in a stupid line for 30 mins.. I don't know why I don't like self check out but I find myself using it more... I always make a "Walmart" run to get all my household and personal items because you just can't beat the price. Their grocery prices can be good but you have to know the prices (I usually do all my food shopping at Publix-love the Bogo's). Walmart has a lot of self-check out stations but still lacks cashier registers open. I get it...trying to save money...but when not too backed up, I prefer face-to-face contact and feel like I am protecting their job. The other people did have a mask but he did not!!!!! My family and the in-laws are on a weeklong vacation, based in Lutz. And this Walmart quickly turned into the place where we go to get reloaded with supplies. Like a typical Walmart, it's one-stop shopping at a low price. Just about everything you need except the kitchen sink can be found here, including groceries, and there's a wide selection of goods. Also, like a typical Walmart, you can get your walking workout done at this store by going from one end of the store to the other a few times. Customer Service ranges from first-job people to stereotypical Florida retirees. Some are helpful, some are too busy with their jobs to help the customers. Short lines at checkout can sometimes be deceiving; one family can have $100+ of items. Self-checkout area. And I've even run into a few of the infamous "People of Walmart" here! If your nose isn't stuck in the air, this is a Walmart to go to. And if your nose is in the air, you wouldn't go here anyway, so whatever. read more

Wal-Mart solves a problem and is there when you need it. I truly appreciate the more economical prices and the excellent wide range of food products, beauty and hygiene products, and other merchandise they have to offer. I don't particularly enjoy having to go shopping in store, especially on busy weekend days. But I have found Wal-Mart to always be busy, even during non peak hour week days, so there's no escaping the crowds. They do offer walmart.com which is a nice option if you can pre-plan ordering what you need in time for when you need it. However, since most of the time I need things immediately, I definitely have had to train my mindset to come patient and ready to spend at least an hour to cover the whole shopping list and navigate inside the huge supercenter while weaving through people traffic. Nonetheless, I give walmart credit for maintaining organized shelves and for the most part being able to find anything relatively easy there. However, I'm also surprised at how fast the seasonings and spices isle tends to clear out their supply super fast. On more than one occasion I've had to ask for a seasoning or spice I was looking for, like cinnamon or iodized salt, which are pretty basic in my book. Not saying it's Wal-Mart's fault an influx of shoppers are buying these products, but just that maybe there should be more shelf space for them or more attention to the spices and seasonings isle for a faster re-stock. I am impressed with Wal-Mart's diligence to maintain cleanliness of their bathrooms. In comparison to other supermarkets, Wal-Mart is very on top of that maintenance and cleanliness of the store. Walmart never amazes me. Today, I was walking to the garden center entrance from the parking lot. I approached the "enter" door and it was locked. I noticed a couple trying to leave thru the same "enter" door (locked). I started making my way to the other door and I stopped because a guy was checking receipts and I heard the Walmart employee ask for the couples receipt. The woman barrels thru in a hurry and disregarded the Walmart employee who's asking for a receipt and her last words, "he has it" a guy whom she's with. The guys kind of stopped and told the Walmart employee that he didn't have a receipt and walked off too. The cart had zero Walmart bags of any kind. The employee made a comment, that they probably stole the stuff. I asked him why he doesn't chase them and confirm the receipt. he said he couldn't do that. I ask him to call security or the police, said they wouldn't do anything...I'm sure he doesn't get paid enough to deal with customers BS. I left immediately. I will not spend a dime in Walmart if I can avoided. They lack security, lack employee work ethic, many of the employees are rude and just collecting a pay check. Walmart is a monopoly so I know this review doesn't mean anything. Just venting. I rarely have any friendly encounters with staff. Nobody goes out of their way to say hi unless you say it first. Don't ever buy any items over $50 there. They won't take things back even with receipts. They change out items and skus all the time so they are no longer in the system. The line was 10 people deep... there were Management is horrible and doesn't care. They don't even act like they care or show any empathy. The parking lot always has a crap ton of carts everywhere. Half the lights are out in the parking lot which is pretty dangerous at night. The produce area has sharp/splintered edges for the produce boxes to sit on top. I stubbed my toe on once and thought it was broke and it was bleeding. Manager did not give a crap. I wasn't trying to get anything. I just didn't want a poor old lady to be down for the count. Ok that's it. Thanks. Prices are decent. Could get same stuff on amazon but without bad customer service.only 2 people working behind the counter. Management should've jumped in to help. read more

At least this Walmart is clean and stocked well. The fruit and veggies are sometimes good and sometimes bad. A couple weeks ago we got some amazing peaches that lasted for days, then the next week, we got more peaches, because they looked and smelled great and they lasted only 2 days. We usually get our non perishable there and get the heck out! Its always crazy, no cart etiquette (which is not Walmarts fault) but people are crazy there! More cashiers would be awesome too, there are 20ish registers and only like 7 have someone working them. I did order a HP Laptop for one of their Cyber Monday Sale, and it was really nice to have the option to either have it sent to my place, or in store pickup. I was able to pick it up the next day and not have to wait or pay for shipping. The pick up was a breeze, they sent me a text saying it was ready to pick up and I went to customer service and they scanned my paper I printed out and the lady went to the back, and before I knew, she had the computer. It was so fast and easy. This location, they have a really good Garden Area, great selection, we have gotten a few plants and they are still growing strong. I do not have a green thumb and pretty much kill any plant/ flower I get. read more

This review is for the older woman in glasses at the Walmart gas station. You're a bitch. I was getting my car serviced at Tires plus next door. I walked over to Walmart to grab some things in store, then walked over to the gas station for a drink and snacks. My hands were full so instead of putting a beef jerky in my pocket I put it in my bag until I got to the register. I was looking at the sandwiches and she comes over and stands behind me. I felt her looking at me but I didn't respond. I managed to grab a sandwich with my fingers and made my way to the register and boom- she came back over and stood next to the cashier looking at me. I grabbed the jerky from my bag along with everything else in my hands Paid and left. She just kept staring me down. I know this woman thought I was stealing. Not to be full of myself but I dress nice, have an Apple Watch on my wrist, AirPod pros in my ears, and iPhone in my pocket and an American Express card in my wallet. I'm a nurse at a urology office. I have no want or need to steel a stick of jerky. She could have come up to me and asked about the jerky. I would have explained myself. But instead she wanted to be slick and just stand by me all creepy like trying to be some Walmart super hero like she was gonna bust me or something. I didn't appreciate the treatment. read more
