We requested a booth and were seated toward the back of the restaurant. My lady friend and I were having a nice quiet romantic dinner when two other couples were seated in a booth right across from us which I thought was odd given the place was nearly empty Needless to say, our quiet dinner was spoiled by the loud chatter of the other booth. When I commented to the mgr on the way out about he choice of seating location, he replied that "if I wanted quiet I should have stayed home, restaurants are noisy". I thought this to be a very arrogant response, so much for customer service which was reason I gave it 3 stars and no higher. I thought prices were on the high side but the food {Dolce VitaSupreme pizza was excellent &Veal Marsala was very good] was well prepared. Will I give it another try, Nope!

There were a few other small groups on the patio and in the dining room as well. The staff was great! We had 3-4 servers helping our group, taking drink and dinner orders at the same time to get food out mostly together. They were helpful and friendly, quick to refill drinks, and always nearby to answer questions, grab extra napkins, etc. Now the food. I ordered the lasagna and it was amazing. Lots of layers, lots of cheese, plenty of meat sauce all packed with flavor. I cleaned the plate, as did most of the group. Really good pricing as well. There are some pricey options but most of the options were reasonably priced and everything looked delicious.

Salad was good but dressing is very sweet, miso soup though was really good. Our table ordered 2 filet minon and shrimp (one came as steak not filet, after some discussion they just brought a side a filet minon). Sushi came at least 10 minutes later (one roll was completely wrong and we just asked for it to be just be removed from bill) I got sushi with tuna and avocado. Avocado was so ripe it was inedible. Both rolls were not well done! We went because it used to be my friends, favorite hibachi and sushi restaurant. We were very disappointed. It was dark. It was borderline dirty, and I just wouldn't go back.

Edited: Come to find out that happy hour is GONE, no more specials, no more Italian food, no more 2 for 1 drinks, new management as stated. Got our rolls wrong and put imitation crab in rolls where it wasn't listed as an ingredient. Sushi was sloppy and falling apart every time we picked some up with our chopsticks, cooked rolls were cold and oil from the deep fryer was old and tasted old and gross.

We were greeted with a smile and some casual small talk before being kindly escorted to our table. The ambiance was warm and friendly. Our waiter Jericho did a phenomenal job and we wanted for nothing. He was knowledgeable of the menu, very personable, professional, and very attentive to our every need. We both enjoyed a Caesar salad. The salad was fresh, crisp, and served on a chilled plate with just the right amount of dressing. I had the bone-in Ribeye and my wife had the Chilean sea bass and we shared the creamed spinach with our entrees. My ribeye was seasoned and cooked (medium rare) to perfection. It was very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It's the best steak I've had dining out in a very long time. The Chilean sea bass was superb and cooked to perfection. We finished up our dinner with crème brûlée and coffee that was a great ending to our meal. I rarely get WOWED when dining out but this place is the real deal and WOWED me. This was the best dining experience from start to finish we have had in a very long time. Does quality come with a cost? Yes! I have wasted more money for less than service and mediocre food at other establishments. This place is a must and I highly recommend dining here if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Because I'm starting this review at the beginning of the meal so I will be sure to document it as it progresses for your enjoyment dear reader. Well, some time has passed, and that lofty goal has already been abandoned. Because I devoured the bread service before I had a chance to take a picture of it. I've got to do better. The bread service is absolutely worth it. I do not know what is going on with that dipping sauce, but it is spicy and exquisite. I also did not take a picture of my Mojito but should have. It is a classic Mojito prepared exactly as I remember it from those long ago days in Puerto Rico, where I first sampled this sumptuous libation. Time has passed. Oh my God! The size of the steak! We came for tomahawk Tuesday tonight. That's when you can get an entire tomahawk steak for $109 instead of $139, which makes it about 30% more delicious. Anyway, in order to take a picture of this tomahawk steak I had to zoom out on my iPhone! Because they're just so big I could not fit it in the frame! I ordered mine medium rare and sliced for two, so my lady can share in the enjoyment. Perfection. No notes. The truffle fries are the best I've had anywhere. And they are abundant. A must have. I have to say, this has been one of the best meals of my life to rival Gibsons in Chicago. But what this location lacks in views it makes up for in every other way. Especially the service, which is top-notch. Oh, and did I mention they have complementary valet? This is starting to sound like I was paid to write this review. I was not. But I will gladly accept free Mojitos in the future. Should the right person happened to read this. For we will be back, and often.

Wise, weathered and experienced; a full life heavily soaked with memories, stories and anecdotes. A life lived is the vibe J.J.'s gives. As I peruse the timeless passages in the store, I come upon shelves filled with a small eclectic variety of foods and sundries. Draft beer up front. Wine and beer varietals, many types and sizes of chips and a walk-in beer and wine cooler. The place has a welcoming, comfortable and casual feel throughout. Tables, chairs and a sofa reminiscent of Aunties or Grandma's place where you can slow your roll and reminisce. I was greeted by a friendly young man who confirmed I could order breakfast. On the boards overhead a long list of options. Mostly Wraps, Sanwiches and Salads. As well as a list of available breads. They are open from 8am to 8pm. Just before I ordered came an offer, "you can add or take off anything or choose any of the breads for any sandwich". I knew right away what I wanted. Extra Bacon BLT on pressed Cuban Bread. The results were sublime, every bite the same, the perfect crunch, uniform throughout, tempered by the exact proper portions of mayo, lettuce and tomato on warm pliable bread. Artistry for the palate and senses. I know a good sandwich when I taste one. My critique of sandwiches almost always centers and highlights the lack of ingredient order, quality, quantatative balance and construction. Thoroughly pleased, I decide to order take-out for my lunch and an omelet for my wife. I wanted an original, just as they make it, with no substitutions in order to test their further Mastery of Sandwichology. The Vito please, and since it's for lunch, mayo and dressing on the side to keep it dry. It was the closest they had to an Italian, my go to in all places that craft, meats and cheeses between 2 or more slices of bread. Hand crafted, artisenal, perfectly balanced, uniquely constructed , benefited by an abundance of trial and error and creative expertise that is only accomplished with substantial time and experience. The Vito was a lesson in the art of making a sandwich. Proportions and ingredients in perfect harmony. From the razor thin red onions and banana peppers to the quality of the constituents and the perfect order placement of the items. It was truly a masterful composition. I preffered it without the balsamic. Did I get lucky? Or is this what JJ's does daily. Can't wait to get back and find out. Plus, some extra money forsome of those items on the shelfs. Prices very reasonable and free parking out front. Come getcha some!

I think it's a better stop than the gas station if you're on the way to the beach. Though I did originally come here because I saw that they had gluten-free bread option, the gluten-free sandwich wasn't the best. I don't doubt that their gluten-full options are delicious. I would've just preferred the sandwich to be crispy. It was pretty soggy. But on the other hand, executing a gluten-free sandwich safely in a kitchen that has gluten is pretty challenging. I don't doubt that they did everything to cover the sandwich and prevent cross-contamination, which is probably the only reason it was soft instead of crispy. So I'm not shooting it down if you're looking for an option of something to eat and bring to the beach. Definitely go though if you're just looking for some beverages and chips, they had a lot of really cool stuff there!
