Great service and hostesses! I've been regularly visiting TR to use the Gold and Red Light beds to alleviate seasonal affective disorder. I began with a one month Gold membership for $50 - tan as much as I want, and I used the red light during their happy hours (two hours after opening and all day Sunday). Just last week I opted for the $40/month Gold membership which is unlimited gold tanning and red light. I go several times a week, the red light is so relaxing. The hostesses have all been so kind, helpful and informative. After i had been to happy hour several times over two weeks, one of the hostesses recommended the gold package. So I did! I've never been to other tanning salons, but I love this location and the team spirit that I hear about. (They all took a day and went rafting for a staff outing! I love to hear it!) I purchased a 30 day unlimited tanning package about a week ago and I have been going every day since then. Yesterday I received a call from TAN Republic -Eugene to inform me that I was banned from the property and would not be permitted to take full advantage of my tanning package because they indicated that they found "illegal drugs" in the room I was using on Tuesday after I had left. The "illegal drugs" they found was actually a tofu coagulant (Nigari - primarily Magnesium Chloride) that I had in my pocket that must have fallen out when I got undressed and did not notice. If they had common courtesy they would have contacted me before they jumped to a totally false conclusion about what they found. They involved the police when there was no need to do so. I had to visit the police department to clear up any questions they might have for me. read more

If I could give zero stars I could. My friend and I went TWENTY minutes before closing for spray tans and the girl working denied us services due to having to " deep clean " the machines. When I know for sure "deep cleaning" is just wiping down a machine. To deny service just out of pure laziness and wanting to leave early is absolutely unacceptable and I will not be going back to this location until this problem of ABSOLUTE LAZINESS AND DISRESPECT IS FIXED. Being a customer service professional entails staying as long as is required to ensure that the customer leaves satisfied and happy. This DID NOT happen today. This was at 9:40 tonight on January 10th at the ninth street location. For the sake of your businesses future may you PLEASE fix this issue. read more

I wish I can give this place a five star review. Often the young girls who are the staff are amazing. I definitely have sat there waiting for somebody to pay attention to me a few times. I just have to sit there and listen to them talking to somebody while I wait to get in to tan. Literally would take a minute to tell me where to go. They know me well. This is not why am giving it a one star review though. I have been going here for a while and I realized that my monthly membership was suddenly $50 more than the original agreed amount. I decided that the membership was not worth it. I was kind of upset that no one could explain to me why this was happening. So to cancel the membership there's paperwork you have to fill out or you need to email the owner. So I fill out the paperwork, The next month the tanning membership is taken out of my bank account $50 more than their original agreed price. (By the way the original grade price was 109 a month. The weathers point in paying $160 a month Just a spray tan a couple times a month.) So once I realize that the tanning membership never did get canceled, I called Tan Republic on ninth street and they tell me that I need to fill out paperwork or email the owner. I explain I have already filled out paperwork but I will email the owner this time. I asked for the email and I emailed her. I don't hear back, I email her again within this month just to make sure that she got that. I also called the store to make sure that my Membership was canceled. They say no. These girls literally have no way of helping anybody without the owner by the way. So six months goes by with all this happening. The owner by the way is never in store. The owner lives in Albany. The owner obviously does not care about emails or cancellation policies or anything like that. After six months and calling all the tan republics around to try to figure out what I can do. I finally called my bank and I disputed the transactions. Within days I get all my money back over the last six months. And guess what they figured out that I wanted my freaking membership canceled. The sad thing was is I was just trying to cancel my membership and just pay for the spray tans when I went. However because of all this complication and six months of paying $150 a month, I will never go back. Not just this general public location but any of them. I tried this entire time to also contact corporate to see if there's anything I can do. And that was impossible. The only possible solution I had during this whole time was to contact the owner. This store is full of friendly, smiling faces and all are helpful. The store is spotless and the beds are always clean. While the store does seem to be quite busy, there are enough rooms to accommodate everyone, so there is usually little to no wait. The only downside is the parking. Very few spots and shared with three other businesses. read more

This place signed me up for a 2 month contract but continued to charge me with hidden fees after the two months was up. I had to personally go in and argue with the representative until he cancelled my contract. In short, these guys are dirty lairs who will charge you a lot of hidden fees and are in general, quite rude. read more

Well I read the reviews and yes some were good and some where not so good, which made me really second guess trying this place out. But let me say, there are comments about pricing being too high!! But where I'm from this was much cheaper. Now I want to give a shout out to Bella, she was amazing, not with just customer service, but her knowledge of the beds, packages, memberships, discounts, and lotions. I'm not from Corvallis or even from Oregon. I'm here for a month or two for my work. Bella told me the best deals and didn't try to sell me a membership knowing that I would not be here long. The decision was mine to get a membership without being pressured. I will say I would definitely want someone like Bella as my front person, she was cheerful and always smiling, and then after taking her time with me which a bit of time, I went to my bed and she apologized to everyone waiting behind me. I love this location, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I am tanning for a trip and have been going for about two weeks so far, I will continue to come to this location once I get back. I really enjoy my visits here. There is one employee shame on me for not knowing her name but she has tried to up-sale me every time I see her, I'm not an easy person to up-sale but she finally convinced me to purchase one of the tanning lotions and I love it! So I wanted to jump start my tan before a trip to Hawaii a week before I left. When we went in for my first tan, the girl asked how long I would like to go in for, I said max time since my husband was going in for the max time. Before I got into the bed, my husband asked her to show me what all the buttons do because I've never tanned before. Needless to say I got badly burnt because the girl didn't stop me from going in for such a long time and I honestly didn't know any better because I never tanned before. So my husband was freaking out because I was so red and burnt, he called them back and they said I should be fine and I could come back after my skin isn't red anymore. Well, I didn't go back at all because I didn't want to agitate my skin even more so. My husband spoke to the manager there and she offered me a free week of tanning after I got back from Hawaii. Once I got back from our trip, I didn't want to tan because for me it would be pointless because the only reason I wanted to tan was to jump start my tan and it was such a horrible experience. So after I got back, I called the salon and said that I would like my money back because of my bad experience. The girl I spoke with passed that on to the manager who called me February 23 and said she could give me a refund because I got so badly burnt and to call her back but if she didn't hear from me, she would call me the following Monday. I didn't hear from the manager the next week so I went in hoping to catch her but she wasn't there, so I left a message with the girl working to pass onto Jill the manager. I didn't hear from her for three weeks. I realized last week I still had not received a refund so I called the salon and the girl working told me Jill would be in the following day. So I go in the next day March 13 and she is finally working. I tell her my name and she introduced herself to me. What got me was she asked me again if I would like the free week of tanning which I said no and I just wanted my refund to which she finally gave me. I do say kudos to her for giving me a refund because they don't do refunds at all. However, this was probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I work in customer service. Usually if something is wrong, you work with the customer to fix it as soon as possible. I am appalled this dragged on for about a month and the managers lack of care to try and resolve this as quick as possible. I hope she reads this and the owner of the salon so that they can make some serious changes or training to somehow better their customer service because it is obviously lacking. I will not be tanning here ever again because of this experience and would not recommend them due to their horrible customer service. read more

I used to love this place but recently they have been awful. My mom used to pay for my tanning until her card had to be cancelled and I took over paying. I payed for the previous month and the next month. I came in a couple weeks later and they said I owed more for the month and had no record of me ever paying. When I said I had already paid, they blamed it on the girl who had worked with me that day and insisted I owed money. All coming from an employee who was wearing a bikini and shorts the last time I was in. Needless to say I didn't give them a single cent more and won't ever be tanning there again.
