I went to get acrylic. The lady was really rude, I told her I didn't like the color shade the moment she applied it so she only applied it on one nail and she could've easily just removed it and got the other on but instead she gave me attitude and was so mad that she sent me to the table to choose another one(she could've showed me other options) AND when I got up SHE WENT AND TOOK ANOTHER CLIENT, no communication no nothing. I was confused as it took me literally 10s to change the color shade. Without any communication from her still, another girl came and took me to do my nails for me and looked like she didn't know what she's doing (she did french tip in such a wrong way) and they turned out ugly. :( as you say it doesn't look symmetrical, one layer and so unprofessionaly done. Service has gone down hill over the past year. I used to rave about this place - have always loved that they offer hot stone massage. Pedis are consistent, but the mani service seems to get worse each time I come. The edges of my thumbs on my French tips always appear smudged, and this time they aren't even fully polished. Today, I had an appointment, and was shuffled off from person to person. Nails done by one, then rather finish me up I was sat in a chair for almost 20 mins before someone came to prep my toes. Then another wait until a third person finally polished them, and to be honest, she gave the most personal service out of the bunch, asking if the color was what I wanted. My nails looked so horrible once I got home and finally looked closely at them, I will need to make an appt somewhere else to have the French tips redone. Today was NOT worth the $100+ that I paid. read more

It's a clean salon, and I've had variable service. got my nails done once by Michael once last year, and he did an amazing acrylic set! I've been here two times since and both of the women who did my nails did not have great customer service. The last time, my nails were pretty short when I came in, and the lady called over a coworker to show her how short my nails were and they laughed together about them; it felt fairly rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't go back but if you need nails done quickly I think they have frequent appointments and decent nail results. read more

Had my second less than mediocre experience here. Got a pedicure and the technician was nice but the pedicure itself was not enjoyable. The water was cold and the entire left side of my big toe was missed during the second coat. I didn't get a massage or lotion when the other people I was with did. When I paid, I tried to tell them I didn't get the full service but she insisted she gave me it (she didn't) and they still charged me full price. Gave me a student discount which was nice but I get that with a better experience elsewhere. Go to Corvallis Star, way better service for the price. Really bummed I had to spend money here and walk away unsatisfied, twice. Definitely not going back again now. read more

Me and my friend went into to get our nails done with the dip powder and did not have a great experience. I got out of my chair very quickly and noticed that my nails looked a little unfinished. My nail tech rushed me out to take a new client. My friend however got out of her chair 15 minutes after me and we left as soon after. She had experienced a lot of pain with her nails especially her pinky. We ended up having to soak her nails in acetone because it was too painful to remove them normally or wait for the appropriate time. After soaking off the pinky nail where most of the pain was coming from we discovered her nail was cracked in half. We're not regulars here but have gotten our nails done elsewhere and haven't experienced a lack of professionalism and care up until this point. read more

I have been looking for my go to place to get nails done and have been bopping around place to place ever since I got to Corvallis. After one place making all my fingers bleed and have extreme pain and the other being very kind but not very skilled at all, is my favorite so far. I like to do creative designs and my nail tech (Lana I believe) basically recreated the image I showed her perfectly. I do suggest having a pic to avoid miscommunication but yes at least my nail tech was very masterful and did exactly what I showed her and in a very timely manner. They did such a horrible job on my nails I wanted a simple purple French tip they did a line across my finger it was nothing compared to a French tip there is a hair inside my nail and they still didn't care and put the topcoat. Wow this place is really nice! Coming from SF, I was at first shocked to hear $48 for a pedi but it's for good reason! Includes sugar scrub and hot stone massage, hot towels and your own take home pedi kit (2files and pumice) they have more color options then I've ever seen plus designs and wild and pretty combos. She was patient while I took FOREVER to choose a color (I still didn't know if the one I picked was one I would like) and she hyped me up and confirmed that it was a great color the whole time. She was so sweet and had a really great and meaningful conversation with my boyfriend and I. She even took the time to do an extra coat. They ended up being my engagement nails and the service I received made it that much better. 4 weeks later and there is not one chip in my gel. Worst manicure I've ever had.I normally go to crystal nails but they were booked so I stopped here & she took no time or care and was done with my gel manicure in less than 15 minutes. The polish is thin and you can still see my nail underneath not to mention like dust or something stuck in the polish so it doesn't have a smooth top. There is literally gel cured on my skin around my nails. There should never be a time when you leave a salon with polish on your skin. She applied lotion, no massage, then wiped it all of with a hot towel and said "you're done"You deserve better so don't spend your money here.
