The location does not typically see children under 1, but the doctor made an exception and checked my sons ears and throat, and swabbed him for the flu as a precaution. We waited only about 25 minutes, and the staff was prompt and courteous. Special thanks to the office manager, who recognized that I needed help and asked the doctor if he would be able to accommodate us, and to the doctor (Chuck), who was willing to help our little guy. They don't stock meds for infants/children, so I completely understand their policy! The doctor also provided a recommendation for an alternate local care site with a pediatrician on staff, if my son gets worse (West Bank hospital has a ped available).

I had a huge panel of tests to take that required an overnight fast for 10 hours. I had also been…read moresent home with some DIY tests that I was asked to bring with and turn in to the lab upon arrival. (stool test-ew!!) While I knew the lab was across the street from Main Campus, I did make one wrong turn before I found where I was supposed to go. They could really use numbers on the buildings to help navigate people. There was only a half dozen people in the waiting area in a huge space that could easily hold hundreds. I checked in at the main desk with two friendly, kind and communicative women. All of my check ins with receptionists have all been positive, and informative/helpful. I completed my urinalysis collection on site and waited to be called. I turned in all my DIY tests and sat to have my blood drawn. I verified my information about a hundred times, but it also helped distract me from the needle. No one likes needles, really. I had 5 vials taken and when she was wrapping up my arm she chose a teal tape to match my shirt. On the previous Monday, the phlebotomist picked pink to also match my shirt. It's the little things that go a long way to make us feel human, rather than a number. Again, I was in and out in no time and felt that I was on the right path to taking care of my own health.

During that time, I became very ill from abruptly stopping the medication and was left without clear communication or assistance. The most frustrating part was being unable to reach my actual physician directly regarding the issue. Instead of receiving answers or timely support, I was repeatedly redirected through other staff members while my medication continued to be delayed. Patients should not be left without necessary medication due to office communication failures or lack of provider coverage. I understand doctors take time off, but there should be a reliable continuity-of-care process in place so patients are not negatively impacted. I hope this office improves its communication, refill management, and patient care moving forward.
