Went in today November 29th 2023 had new Toyo tires put on my truck and fuel brand rims. The guys were knowledgeable about getting me offset rims to bring the new tires out slightly more than factory specs and not hurting anything with the suspension in the long run. I was worried when I saw the rims thinking they were not offset as I requested. I was wrong they had more on the back side of the rims than I was aware of and they fit perfectly. I was in Dubuque for work and heard a funny noise in my car...I called a couple places to look at it and no one could squeeze me in. I called Tandem and talked to Kevin and explained my situation and he told me to bring it by that afternoon and he would take a look at it. I ended up needing brakes and rotors and he quoted me a very fair price. I left my car there overnight and they started working on it right away. They took me home in their courtesy vehicle and by 12 noon the next day my car was ready!!! This is a big proud Tire, Exhaust and Alignment place which boasts three locations in the Dubuque, IA and Potosi, WI area. I came here to treat my 80K mileage car with a whole new set of tires. Happy to report it was a seamless, efficient and cost-effective experience. I ordered the tires ahead by phone from Ryan. He made an appointment for me to come in for the tire change. Got 'er all done in less than an hour while I sat in the comfy waiting lounge munching on free popcorn and reading newspapers. These guys are fantastic - I just bought brand new tires on the front of my car from someone else - didn't buy the warranty because I've never needed one until TODAY! Came out to my car and my passenger side tire was almost flat and I have to go out of town Monday - I hobbled to this great shop - within 30 minutes my car was ready! To my great surprise it was a lousy screw in my tire and they fixed it and I spent 20 bucks - being female I almost always expect to be upsold a bunch a crap I don't need or want - these guys did NOT try those games!!!! We were driving home for a Christmas celebration when one of our tires blew. We called Tandem Tire and told them we were a half hour away on a donut and needed a tire change and they agreed to wait for us even though their store closed at 1pm. We got there at 12:45, drove the car right to the front door and they had the tire changed and car back to us by 1:00pm. It was fast friendly service on very short notice. What a joke. 11 months ago I paid almost $500 for house brand tires, "they are a great tire for the value" they told me. 2 months ago I had the vehicle in for a rotation and balancing and they changed my oil that was just changed the day before instead of the rotation and balancing. I spend almost 2 hours waiting that day with my three young children with me between the oils change that didn't need to be done and the rotation and balancing. I brought my vehicle back today because there was a really bad vibration in the rear of my vehicle and my local shop told me they were shot and had belts showing and that I should take them back to tandem and have them look at them and they should be replaced under warranty. After waiting another 2 hours at tandem this time they refuse to replace my tires because of and alignment issue that caused wear to the tires which according to them "must have happened" since I was in less that 2 months ago. So now I am leaving this joke of a business with 4 bad tires and going to my local shop to have 4 brand new tires put on to replace tires that are less than a year old that have a 85,000 mile warranty on them that tandem refuses to honor because of an alignment issue that they claim wasn't there less than 2 months ago but they also don't check for or document anything like that either. Word of advice don't waste your time or money coming here because it will end up costing you double in the long run. I would have given this zero stars but it would not let me. read more

I was recently in need of new tires for my vehicle, so I called around to several different places for prices. When I called Tandem, they let me know that I could get a better tire for less than the one I was interested in, and they also informed me of a $140 mail-in rebate on the tires. I told them I would think about it and call back, and when I called back a week later, they pulled my quote up right away and knew exactly what tire I had called about. They were able to get me in that Saturday to get the new tires mounted, which took less than an hour. The guys who work there are extremely helpful and you can tell that they truly care about providing excellent service to their customers. There is no doubt that they will be seeing me again in the future! read more

We blew a tire while driving through Iowa with out of state plates. These guys fixed it in no time for a very reasonable price. We were very lucky to notice their shop. I don't think more than 15 minutes elapsed between the time we noticed the flat and the job was done. I felt like I was sitting in the pits at Indianapolis.
