We ordered the paneer pakora and garlic naan to start, and butter chicken, chettinad shrimp, and coconut rice as mains. All of the dishes were flavourful and prepared with quality ingredients. We've been ordering from Tandoori regularly for the last couple of years. I have not had a bad dish from this place, but have some real favourites. Specifically the Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta, and Tandoori Chicken is so good. We're also fans of the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala - both good "classics". read more

My friend recommended this to me for our dinner out evening, and I was really surprised! This little hole in the wall is hard to find, but worth the venture. Food was a basic Indian repetoire with a few interesting additional items, but what makes it a difference is how well the items are spiced. You can tell that the spices are fresh and the flavours are vibrant. We ordered a few dishes to share - Vegetable samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala -marinated chicken breast cooked in thick creamy condensed sauce, Chettinad -coconut-base curry with a hint of mustard seeds and curry leaves, Kadhai Paneer -homemade cottage cheese cooked in thick curry sautéed with onions, bell peppers and tomatoes, Vegetable Biryani yellow basmati rice simmered with mixed vegetables, saffron, spices and a hint of fresh mint leaves and of course garlic naan bread. Everything was excellent loved the spice menu for medium there. The only thing that I didn't think was exceptional was the veggie samosas, they were small and their dough wasn't fantastic. Hubs and I love the lunch combo plate at Tandoori Fusion. You get to pick from a set menu. I usually pick the veggie korma - absolutely delicious here. As well as Aloo Ghobi, channa masala, and daal. Hubs usually gets the Beef Vindaloo. We always ask them to make our food extra spicy and they do :-) Haven't been here for dinner since they moved north on the trail by Costco a few years ago. The food is fantastic here. We had the black pepper chicken and chicken vindaloo with medium and hot spice and both were perfect. Remember to share a rice. The garlic naan is so good we could eat it for brekkie. We came in the afternoon on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy at all. Very quiet. And of course the service was A-okay. New location is harder to find - had to slowly drive around until I saw it. Lots of parking in front of the restaurant. Waiter was nice and kept the water cup topped up. He explained the Thali combo plate and was willing to do an all vegetarian one for my friend. Mine included 3 vegetable pakora - delicious. Butter chicken - classic and good Chili fish - fried/batter fish in onion and peppers. Not spicy as the name suggests. Vegetable Korma - vegetable melody in cream sauce, interesting combination but I liked it. Chana masala (chickpea) - classic flavor. 1 gulab jamun dessert - classic flavor Overall I Loved the combo plate idea as I got to try a variety. Quite out of the way location though. read more

We ate the butter chicken even though it tasted sweet and ketchupy with no spicy kick at all. We didn't get the extra naan and the owner was rude to my boyfriend who went inside to pick it up. We won't be ordering from here again. read more

This past weekend we had booked a table for 10 and it was busy being Father's day. Not only was the service on point; the waiter was helpful with his recommendations and portion size appropriate to our hungry crew. The food was absolutely delightful. All dishes served where deliciously flavored and hot. We ordered a variety of appetizers and main courses with sides and it's been a while since I can honestly recommend a hidden treasure of a restaurant. Beautiful meal shared by the entire table. My sister and I love indian cuisine but we don't like to travel from one end of the city to the next during rush hour... We we're in St. Albert and went through the yelp app to find out that there is an Indian restaurant on the North end and thank goodness there was. We came in at 4pm and ordered the featured beer which was on special. Great selection on beer and wine... The dinner buffet starts at 5pm and decided to wait which wasn't very long. Our host and server were amazing with customer service, which made us feel that this was a great choice. The buffet had numerous items that both my sister(vegetarian) and I could easily choose from. The food was fresh, tasty and hot. The best part was the naan bread! Made to order so it was delicious and fresh! So yum... We ended off with Chia masala tea and that helped digest our fantastic meal. I'm very happy to write a wonderful review for them because it's very seldom you find a place that satisfies 100% in everything you look for in a restaurant. All I can say is great! First the place was super accommodating. We had a small party that was going to be a bit messy and they were fine with it. The building is kind of neat. Of course the main thing is the food! And it was great! I am sad I didn't have the seafood platter. Which I may next time but the buffet was great! I never thought I would say yummy goat but damn! The spicy fish was awesome and one can never go wrong with butter chicken. The coconut naan yum yum. The $$$$ weren't terrible with drinks. Not cheap but not bad! Overall very good read more

This restaurant is across from my gym and I noticed it last week. My boyfriend and I love Indian food and usually drive to Ellerslie to get it... well, no more driving for us! This is hands down the best Indian food we have ever had. The service was amazing, the food was outstanding and we can't wait to go back! We had the Chaat baskets to start... phenomenal. The curry is perfectly paired with sweet yogurt and a hint of mint. I loved it! We ordered a full tandoori chicken and coconut naan. The chicken came out sizzling on a platter with amazing potatoes and rice. The coconut naan is more of a dessert, it has coconut inside of it. Super delicious! We went here on a Friday night since we were going to Landmark Cinema close by. We love Indian food and have been to many places in Edmonton. This was the WORST Indian buffet food we have ever had!! My husband and I went here for lunch yesterday. We had a groupon for the set lunch. First of all we were very surprised at the amount of food, we had enough for another meal the next day. The food was delicious, we had veggie pakoras, papadoms, butter chicken, rice, aloo ghobi, naan and salad. Our very nice, attentive waiter, Philip also on request made sure I had mostly potato in my aloo ghobi and brought me a little raita on the side. Ever get that craving for the most amazing Indian food? If so, go somewhere else as this is not the place to satisfy that craving. Got butter chicken, aloo globi, naan and samosas. One of the worst places I have had, and at a MUCH higher price point. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying out the ass for amazing Indian food, but this was certainly not that. $19 for butter chicken, that's not including any naan or rice. Rice is an additional $5 and naan an additional $4, to sum it up that is $28 for a butter chicken meal. Very disappointing flavour!!!!! Butter chicken was bland, aloo globi was bland. Next time I'll get off my lazy ass and drive into Edmonton to pick up from somewhere I know is good. read more

I've now had both takeout and also sat inside the restaurant to eat and I was thoroughly impressed both times. Not only are the portions quite generous but the food itself tastes awesome every time. The restaurant itself is set up nicely with decent lighting and cool statues as well as a chocolate fountain so that's always a plus.
