I would not recommend, especially if you have a special circumstance. I signed up with an agreement and understanding that I could add my personal injury settlements using an exclusion to get the full amounts, and throughout my bankruptcy I would continuously bring it up verbally and in emails. After all that, this law firm did NOT follow through, and now I'm missing out on thousands because they couldn't care less. I was made to feel like a number, and that outside of giving them exactly what they were asking for, they didn't have time for me. When an office becomes too big with too many locations to monitor the employee(s) they employ, then issues arise. Not that one office locations do not have issues, as most do because no person(s) or place is perfect. Over the years, I have had the fortune or misfortune (some think about law) to have interactions with attorneys, paralegals, law office employees, courthouses, court employees. This experience gives me a little insight. Today, 10.30.21, during a phone call with Moi (not sure of the spelling), I was reminded of the type of person not to employ at a law office. I won't go into too many specifics, but this office needs to evaluate, train and keep employees going and the information and verbiage they speak when interacting with prospective customers. Moi (spelling not sure) is someone that I would not want to interact with about people over legal issues. Granted, some people are good at putting on masks with certain people, so their behaviors are less visible. This review gives NOTICE to this office to check into this employee. For various reasons, my personal information does not need to be shared, yet photographs confirm there was a phone conversation with this law office on 10.30.24, a real interaction that Moi ruined and made no attempt to correct and retain a customer. Perhaps Moi is too important and does not worry about getting customers, as this place would take my money for the services provided, since Moi is not paying the bills. It was odd that I got a text soon after stating this law office missed my call, NO I talked to an employee at this office. BUYER BEWARE: I'm assuming any good reviews are paid. I was told by his employees that the past 7 bankruptcy cases he took were dismissed. Here's my experience: If I could give zero stars, I would. Hiring Kevin Tang was the worst decision I made during this difficult process. I trusted him to handle my Chapter 13 bankruptcy, thinking he would help me protect my home and reorganize my finances. Instead, he made everything a real nightmare.. First, he bombards you with automated texts and emails that are completely useless. He'll send you dates for hearings without any context, so you have no idea what they're for. And when you try to reach out to get clarification? He won't respond. Calls, texts, emails--literally ignored. You're left scrambling to figure out what's happening in your own case, while he avoids responsibility and blames you. He claims on his website that he helps with foreclosure defense, but this is absolutely false. I specifically hired him because I needed help protecting my home, which I clearly told him multiple times before i hired him .. not to mention my many hundreds of thousands of dollars of equity...he later told me several times that he doesn't handle foreclosure issues. If that's the case, why is he advertising that he does? He had no business taking my case. Instead of handling your hearings himself, he assigns a junior attorney to appear via Zoom--someone who repeatedly tells you that he is not your attorney. This junior attorney does not prepare you for hearings, doesn't tell you what you need to have for your bankruptcy to be accepted, and is clearly unprepared himself. I had to research my own defenses and provide them to his office because no one bothered to do their job. Even then, the junior attorney ignored my research and left me without any meaningful legal representation. Kevin Tang does not know what he's doing nor does he care about being a good attorney. When I provided him with proof of payment required for my bankruptcy case, he simply did not submit it--which resulted in my bankruptcy protection being denied. If he had submitted that proof, I likely would have prevailed at my hearing and been able to protect my home. Instead, he let the case fall apart, leading to my home being foreclosed on while protected by the bankruptcy stay and my case being dismissed. And when I asked him about it? He refused to take responsibility and falsely claimed I submitted it too late, even though I have email proof showing otherwise. If you ask him a question he doesn't feel like answering, he'll ignore you and if you keep trying to get answers, he will threaten to withdraw from your case. He does not care about you, your case, or your financial well-being. His only concern is doing the bare minimum while collecting your money. Hiring Kevin Tang was a nightmare. I lost my home, my ability to reorganize my finances, my reputation that I worked many many years to perfect until a life situation that was out of my control put me in a negative financial position. I've lost any faith in the legal system because of Kevin Tangs negligence. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. This is not someone you want representing you in any legal matter. read more
