Great stores for teens too (Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Ulta, Aerie, Crocs, etc.) It's a bit of a drive for me and only worth it if there are big sales. Otherwise doesn't make sense because of gas prices. The discount is generally small if there are no big sales. read more

I love visiting Tanger and i love that it is so close to Raleigh and Durham, it's a good shopping alternative if you dont want to go to the malls. I love an outlet store because the deals are always very good. Express has great deals here and so does the banana republic and Tommy hilfiger!! Since outlet stores usually have older things from their larger stores, sometimes the selection is limited but still very good. Also - Dusty's donuts parks here sometimes on the weekends and i love their donuts and lemonade so that's always a plus! read more

This was my first visit to this location of Tanger Outlets. I found the traffic flow from the highway to the outlets went well. Changes are being made to the road leaving the outlet to make it easier to return to both directions of the interstate. I liked the overall layout of the stores and was impressed with the many seating options and overhead shading of the public area. Nice selection of well-known brands in the outlet business. Food options are limited, but there are certainly many food options on the main road. I was also impressed that there were no empty storefronts! read more

Nice selection of stores but nothing really seemed like a great bargain in any of the stores. Parking is a zoo. Very few disabled spots only to have to walk a ways from the lot to the complex. I realize you'll walk for an outdoor mall but the lot was far from the stores so it made it tough to get there dodging cars. I guess there's only one way in and out. They should post exit signs to direct people as I saw several making turns trying to get out. Definitely figure out where the store youre looking for is prior to parking. I got lucky I parked on the correct side. The signs have arrows for the larger more popular stores but the rest is a guess unless you've been here before. Area was maintained clean and I had no outlet staff interaction. I did go in a handful of stores and everyone seemed eager to tell you about specials and prices as soon as you walk in. I will try to come baxk and tackle the other end of the stores because the area was too much for someone with disabilities to cover all at once. There are scattered seating being utilized with families and their baggage so not much chance to sit. I wish they had a designated disabled seating area or something. read more

Pretty good shopping outlets for the most part. As far as what stores they have, it's primarily what would determine if people like/dislike these outlets. Major brand stores such as Nike, UA, Levi's, Polo, MK, Kate Spade..etc. there's time where there is much foot traffic but for the most part, not too congestion on a normal day. Bathrooms are pretty clean and kept up. My main suggestions would have way more food options (only 3 restaurants the last visit I was there). Especially more food stalls in between stores. Also parking is pretty bad, but they do have an overflow that you have to walk to/from. read more

This is my go to outlet coming from Roanoke, VA. I particularly enjoy Vinyard Vines, Polo and Michael Kors. A great day trip of shopping.

Don't expect them to actually be open when they say they'll be open. Aerie workers must have had something better to do.

We enjoyed shopping here - a lot of really good options. We downloaded a 25% off coupon via the Tanger website and had that to use as well. A lot of great stores - Old Navy, J Crew, Banana Republic, Gap, Vineyard Vines, VANS, Vera Bradley and more. This center seems a bit light on the food options - there's an Auntie Anne's pretzel and a few vending machines, but we didn't see much else. This is a pretty decent drive from WF, just under an hour but it's a pretty straight forward trip and mostly highway. Definitely worth visiting maybe once a year - shopping at as many stores as you can and you're good til next year! read more

Outlet located a few miles from the Triangle. I enjoy visiting as they have a good selection of stores. Make sure to pick up the Tanger coupon book if you are a AAA member. First, easy access from I 40. The entrance looks a bit like you're getting back on the interstate, but you're not. Huge parking lot for safe convenient parking. Beautiful space, while outdoors, much is covered to protect shoppers from sun and rain. Landscape is mostly concrete but there are planters, relaxing seating arrangements and features like a lighthouse that give it character. It's never crowded when I've been there (mostly weekdays). A wide variety of clothing, accessories and shoe stores, but few other specialty stores like vitamins and kitchen wares. There are specials for those who sign up with Tanger online and coupon books available for purchase. Being an outlet, everything is on sale, but the clearance racks are where you find the deepest discounts. Just be weary, often what's there has design flaws such as fitting strange. There are several casual serve restaurants, kiosks, and vending machines for food and beverages. If you want the place to yourself, go before 10am. read more

I have always been a fan of Tanger and what it has to offer. Decided to take advantage of a February Spring like day and head over to Mebane. Exit 154 off of 40/85 and you have arrived. I went to Guest services and got my coupon booklet courtesy of AAA. Great day to peruse some of the guy options: Oakley, Polo, Asics, Tommy H, and Lucky Brand. My husband stopped here on our way home from Raleigh. We have previously visited the Tangler outlets in Myrtle Beach. This one is conveniently located right off the highway! I enjoy the open air feel of this mall... but when visiting in colder months, it makes for a chilly shopping trip. Luckily, many ares are covered in case of inclement weather. We didn't have a ton of time to walk around the whole mall so I pulled up the Tangler store map ahead of time and planned where to park and what stores we would hit up ahead of time. (Saved so much time versus hunting around). We only visited: Express, Allen Edwards, Under Armor and American Eagle. Maybe when we have more time, we can check out more stores. Some prices don't seem "that" much less than the regular stores. This has always baffled me. But we did score some good deals... $400 Allen Edwards men's dress shoes on clearance rack for $200. Not bad! I agree with other reviewers about the food situation. My husband was dying for a coffee and a Starbucks would have been fabulous! (We ended up stopping by McDonald's on the way to the highway). The whole place looked super clean! Even the restrooms! And I LOVED LOVED LOVED that there was a room in the woman's restroom for NURSING! It was SO CUTE! Dimly lit, comfy chair, comfy chair for a toddler, table, sink to wash up, changing table. Lovely!!! Visiting family yesterday, we decided to check out the shops in town. This was my first time at the outlets. The parking was difficult because the place was packed. Luckily I found a spot. All of the store attendants were very kind and attentive while guiding us through their guidelines for maxim capacity. We were able to enjoy the atmosphere and feel safe. The Sunglass Hut was one of stores that closed the doors for a few minutes to sanitize incrementally, but promptly opened back up after about 15 minutes. Cleanliness and safety are worth the wait. Overall there were some extremely great deals. Make sure to visit the Nike store. The prices are worth waiting in line to get in!). PS: the town is pronounced "Meh-ben" not "Mee-Bain" read more

We love Tanger outlets! There are so many stores. A few of my favorites are Carters, Old Navy, Nike and Children's Place. There's a store for everybody! It gets crowded sometimes but there is a lot of parking. Inside the outlet they also have easily to access bathrooms, vending machines and they also have a playground for the kiddos! I haven't been there for probably three years. This location is like the super mall for triangle RTP area, while Carolina premium outlet is on the other side in Smithfield. Due to the pandemic, the playground and coupon office are both closed, but now there's an app for the customers to download. A lot of coupons are available there, so take advantage of it. A lot have changed after three years. Some stores are closed, but more are open. We only visited coach, jcrew and several others. It still feels good whenever we go. read more

The store makeup has changed since this outlet mall originally launched, which I understand given the changing nature of shopping. The location is right off of I-40 and convenient. Understand that outlet malls in general don't always offer the best deals. Some companies specifically manufacture lesser-quality products to sell in their outlet stores. Or the original prices are so high to start with that the discounted price is still pretty steep. If you do hunt around, you can find something in your price range but it's not guaranteed. On our last visit, we bought a luggage set that was reasonable based on comparable merchandise we had seen at other stores. Most of the stores feature clothing, with some featuring other goods like kitchen products, luggage, etc. If you are a AAA or AARP member, go to the office to get the coupon booklet. read more

This is a nice outlet center, close to I40/I85 with easy access. The place was packed and there wasn't a lot of parking or I should say the parking lot was full. Needed to go to Hanes and wife went to Chico's. I love going to Polo but when the girl said I couldn't stay in the store without a mask I left. She said she could give me a mask but I told her I'd take my business elsewhere. Also, was able to pick up a couple books at Book Warehouse. Last but not least the bathrooms were clean. The layout seems like it's designed in some kind of an "X" which IMO makes it tiring because you have to keep backtracking to get to the other sections. You can buy a coupon book for most of the stores in a vending machine. I haven't done that so don't know how much of a savings it offers, but maybe there's details at their website. They have a few chain eateries on site, which are nothing to write home about. If you go to the Blue Ribbon Diner across the street from the main entrance you'd probably be a lot happier. I enjoy coming here because most of the time it is not to crowded. There are numerous stores in this outlet. I believe there were three sit down eating restaurants. They had a large parking area.
